We called them and Dennis came out and it turned out that a hose had come loose. He charged us $75 to put the hose on (about 2 minutes work). I noticed it still wasn't working correctly and examined it after he left. Turns out a few of the water sprinklers weren't working. He said he isn't responsible for this and would need to charge us another fee to get it working properly. Pretty rude. Also, what's with the service charge for houses within Santa Fe county? You've been warned!!

We were taken advantage of by this company, and would never recommend them…read more We were given an estimate for a leak, and a water heater valve replacement for over $1,200. The woman at the office told me they charge $110 an hour, and then I was quoted $135 an hour by the worker the day they came to the house. I know nothing about plumbing, but figured that for the estimated amount of over $1,200, it would take them all day. But no. They were at my house for 20 minutes. I was away from the house, but spoke to them when they got there, and before they left. They had my husband sign for the work, as he was the one at home. My husband is disabled and is not able to understand situations like this. I spoke to them on the phone and told them that for 20 minutes I would not pay $1,200, I would pay them for an hour, plus travel costs. I was told that if I had "set it up as a per hour job, I would've been charged per hour, but I had asked for an estimate beforehand, so that's just the way it is". I would have never signed for this had I been the one there. I had quotes from two other plumbers who charged $90 and $100 an hour. I paid 10 times that much. This is an extremely unethical company.

I don't recall ever posting a negative review before, but I feel an obligation to alert the…read morecommunity about the treatment I have received from Electrical Services Inc. in Santa Fe. (I don't understand why Yelp says I live in San Francisco. I never have lived there.) I have had this company to my home three times. Once was about four or five years ago and the other two happened in August 2026. In each case there were two tasks, one of which was successfully handled and the other one was mishandled, although I did not know the initial job was bungled until Aug. 6, 2026, when a workman from Electrical Services pointed out the error and quickly corrected it. (The first case, in roughly 2022 or 2021, involved outdoor lights.) In the recent cases, I called Electrical Services because my smoke detector went off in late July. The company sent a man on Aug. 6. I paid $324.56. The man was polite and prompt. He said the problem was simply a bad battery. I gave him a new battery and he said all was good. Other than pointing out a flashing green light on the device, he did not otherwise inspect or test the device. I also had him look at my other 4 smoke detectors to see if there was a warning light on. There was not. However, the smoke detector problem recurred again in late August. Prior to that, because I thought the first job was done correctly, on Aug. 20 I had the company come back to fix an entirely separate issue, which was taken care of competently. At that time, I asked the repairman why the red warning light on the original detector would occasionally flash. He said he did not know. He shrugged his shoulders and did not touch or inspect the smoke detector in any way. I paid $162.28 because he did fix the unrelated electrical problem. A few days later, the smoke detector malfunctioned again. I called the owner of the company, Scott Rosenberg, on Aug. 31 and he said it would be good to replace the device. I agreed and said I didn't want to be responsible for the $150 travel charge again as his employee had been to my home twice already without fixing the issue. He said he would call back the following day. He didn't. Finally, on Sept. 11 I called again and asked to talk to Scott. He didn't call back. As of Sept. 15 I still have not heard back. I simply want a 50 percent refund of the charges of Aug. 6 and Aug. 20 as half of the work was completed correctly. It is dangerous to have a defective smoke detector and it really bothers me that this company is so cavalier about this issue. I firmly believe that every company should return calls from dissatisfied customers. This simply hasn't happened here.

When I called and spoke to…read moreChris, he quoted $180/hr but also said that he believed our issue (pilot lighting on 2 heaters) would take much less time - leading me to believe I would be charged only for the time spent. He made no mention of a min. amount of time or money. So I said "let's do it". 2. When Spencer came to do the work, he was on time, is a lovely person and he got the work done in about 30 minutes. Needless to say, I believed I'd be getting a bill of under $100 based on my original conversation with Chris. 3. I recd the invoice today. $206 for 30 minutes of work! I called and spoke to a representative who said that the hourly rate was $190 and that there was a minimum of 1 hour service hence I owed $190 plus sales tax. I said I was shocked and did not expect this, to which she replied "okay". Terrible communication and lack of full disclosure of their policies. I am only giving two stars because Spencer was great.
