The tech that Stockton Mechanical sent identified that the electrical chord for my humidifier unit…read morewas improperly sized. I agreed to his suggestion of changing the chord as his analysis was correct. However, the charge to change the chord --- plug in whip type chord about 4 ft long --- was ALMOST $500.00! He did have to pick up a chord at his supplier, but It took about 2 minutes of actual labor time. I understand that travel time was involved also, but I feel this charge is outrageous for the work done. RIPOFF!

During the pandemic (20/21) we needed to add central AC to our Santa Fe townhome--not easy because of the configuration of the townhomes in our area. Bob came out, looked at our situation, and made a suggestion about size, layout etc. Because the supply chain was at a standstill, we had to wait for months for the unit to come in. Bob even paid for it for me to reimburse later to make sure we had the unit. His installation team was great, despite the labor shortage the installation was timely. Later, when I couldn't quite understand the remote heat/cool control installed on my phone, Bob came out to show me how it works.

We were thrilled when this company said they could come in two days. Unfortunately, they sent a technician who did not know what he was doing - who told us he needed to talk to an "expert" and that we might need to order a part. Then he left. I paid for that service call. A call back said that I needed a part that was about $1,000 that was sure to fix to water heater. The same two came back and installed this expensive part. Less than two months later, the issues started again and I had no hot water again. I called and was told that they likely had to replace the entire unit on a 9 year old unit. They quoted $5,000 or more. I balked and had to postpone due to a serious illness that sent me to the hospital 4 times. They then said they would put a lien on my house if I didn't pay. After many calls, they finally decided to drop all charges and stop servicing me. I later checked and a tankless water heater should cost between $1,000-$2,000. Needless to say.... I got ripped off and filed a complaint with BBB who said they were not a member.
