I was reluctant to call Hoover's because I just didn't want to be a "Karen" to these fine folks. I didn't believe one cleaning should represent a lifetime of dryer vent care. But our dryer still wasn't producing "dry clothes" the way we've experienced in the past. Somehow within 6 weeks of our last cleaning, we were suffering the same damp clothes once again. So I "bit-the-bullet" and made the call. Hoover's owner (Marshall) scheduled his team (including. his lead tech Aaron) to re-visit. Outcome: They found a birds nest in the ductwork - which the crew cleaned-out and then once again tested airflow. An honest, reputable company who stands behind their work. .

While there…read morewas some initial confusion about pricing due to a misunderstanding over gas versus wood-burning fireplaces, Devyn promptly resolved the issue professionally and adjusted the invoice to reflect what was initially discussed. The service included maintenance, chimney sweeps, and repairs on both of our gas fireplaces. He carefully cleaned, adjusted the logs, replaced the burning embers, and ensured everything was functioning properly. He even taught me how to use them (lol) and recommended some decorative fireplace screens to keep our littles safe around the open flames and mentioned we should by plug-in carbon monoxide sensors to make sure we stay safe. For the repairs, he took extra steps to fix the gas valve and get the pilot working correctly on both fireplaces, which we really appreciated. Overall, while there was a hiccup in communication about pricing, Devyn was responsive, professional, and willing to work with us to make things right. What more can you ask for? Honest and hardworking. I would recommend his services and appreciate his dedication to quality work. We have two warming, beautiful functioning fireplaces now. Thank you!

ServPro was the only company to prepare a detailed bid that we could use to qualify for insurance repairs. To their credit, the staff at ServPro determined where the mold-causing leak was stemming from and was able to create a plan for the entire repair of the problem. We were fortunate to have Oscar as our lead repair person. He is a talented carpenter, tiler and even a carpet installer. His craftsmanship made the final project turn out great in the end. Unfortunately, the project took much longer than expected (four months) and there were frequent gaps in any work at all.

Finally, we hired a different company to troubleshoot the problem, and they found that lines from the rooftop compressor to the individual minisplits had been jammed into the wall so ineptly that they were kinked, and that the compressor was too small to adequately run the units. In all, we paid an additional $15,000-plus to replace the compressor and run new lines--all of which had never been used! Truly poor work, zero service, and non-existent response. We would never hired this company again, even if we had $30,000 to burn on a system that doesn't work.

They said all the right things and seemed very knowledgeable, so I hired their services for 10x the cost of the original coupon - my mistake. I fit in far too well with the stereotype of women that can be taken advantage of. About a month after the service, I called to inquire about a vent I was supposed to have delivered. I was told, "Oh yes, it's been on backorder. It will now be there in the next couple days." Luckily, I saw the Amazon driver deliver the package. This made it so I could find the exact filter on Amazon. It had not been on backorder, it just simply wasn't ordered at all - thanks Amazon 2 day delivery. The much more scandalous thing was not the clear lie, it was the cost. This product cost $43 on Amazon. Duct Busters charged me $190 for it. I assumed this had to be a mistake on their part and reached out through email. After a couple days with no reply I attempted to call. My numerous calls over the next couple weeks were sent to voicemail, which was too full to accept any more. He even offered to change out our old rubber water hoses for us (that had expired 10 years ago!). A hiccup happened when one of the water lines ended up leaking without me realizing. I eagerly ran 6 loads of laundry, and because our washer is on the second floor the leak ended up going into the floor & downstairs ceiling (a side note here, part of the reason I didn't realize is because the drip pan under our washer which was catching the water, but the drain is what failed and is where the water was seeping out - so because the water was seeping out of the drip pan I also didn't notice it). Once I noticed the downstairs ceiling, I shut off the water and called Peter. He was at my home within an hour on a Sunday morning and helped get the washer pulled out, the wet area cleared on the floor upstairs and removed the damaged sheetrock from the ceiling downstairs. He came back a few days later once the subfloor dried, placed the vinyl flooring back down, reattached the baseboard and tested our washer to make sure it was working and not leaking. Then he got me in touch with someone to repair the ceiling and covered all the associated costs. I really appreciated not only having a functioning dryer again, but also the dedication Peter displayed to helping me get everything squared away after the leak.
