Tacos and salmon plate

This restaurant was special. Great, friendly service, interesting cocktail menu and high quality food. Unique and interesting menu.

The food is decent. Being from Los Angeles and eating authentic Hispanic food most of my life....it's good. But the treatment was great towards us until the waitress asked us to leave...just as we were leaving. lol. Rather rude behavior to accommodate another reservation. Ashland area is kind of weird like that at many of their restaurants. Go figure. lol

Top 5 meal I've had this year! Newer spot in Ashland that was actually a recommendation from friends in NY. They didn't properly prepare our dining party for just HOW good the food and beverages are. We had a connection with the owner, (friends of friends), and they were SO sweet and passionate about the cuisine. The drinks have something for everyone! The spirited and bold section was the booze forward section but I opted for the Milpa sour. A take on the whiskey sour with corn whiskey, it was very delicious! You gotta get the guac and you gotta try the tortillas. All gluten free, all house made, and utterly delicious. The owner was so nice and brought over some tortas to dip in all of the sauces - just my style. The sauces had so many different flavors and spice levels, and were fun to eat with the tortillas and to pour over my duck confit mole. The mole was delicious. It was so tasty with the perfectly crisped duck. The red tortillas served with it meant I could eat so much meat and sauce and I couldn't just licked the plate. Fantastic restaurant and will be back!

Drinks menu

Excellent service, delicious food! Drinks were amazing. Had the El Susurro de Tlalli which was so wonderful. The food was fresh. Well plated and so flavorful. Sat on the patio and it was delightful

I had Tacos de Nopales & Ceniza Y Oro. My friend had Tacos de Camaron & Flor Y Canto.

Immediately walk into a vibrant & welcoming space! The customer service was great and they checked on us every so often. Food and drinks were delicious, even had chile & lime flavored crickets paired with our alcohol. They went together really well! I'll definitely be back to Tlalli.

Salmon cooked in banana leaf, citrus coconut cream, grilled chayote, red rice, peanut cilantro salsa

Meat, potato, veggies in a crisp red crust of happiness and joy. So incredible, worth the wait. Kind of wish it was a whole restaurant. Fingers crossed. We ordered the asada gourmet tacos $10, asada burrito $10, and Combo 1 pork pupusa with fried plantains and rice & beans $5.50. My favorite was the pupusa. Soft, cheesy, and good flavor. The sides of salsa were sooo good with everything. Their tacos came with handmade tortillas and the "guacamole" was perfect. Again, add some of that salsa with it. Now, I don't typically like my asada burritos with beans, so I asked if it could be made without it. They said the beans were mixed with the rice. I decided to just try it in the burrito. The rice & beans was soooo good, even on its own! Black beans is definitely the way to go. I was also surprised that I liked the fried plantains. I've tried a it a couple times in other places in the past, even a few spots in Miami. However, I was never really fond of them. It's still not something I would regularly order if it wasn't included as a side, but this place was the best I've ever had. This food truck is not pretentious and you get a lot of food for your money. Go check them out.
