Catira- grilled chicken, cabbage salad, green plantain, avocado
    Christina S.

I encountered Alfred's Arepas at the Medford farmer's market today and it was exactly what I needed today. I ordered the chicken arepa. The chicken was grilled and put together with a slaw and avacado. The flavors all worked really well together. The frescas sounded delicious so I ordered the ginger and lime and liked that it wasn't too sweet. I would be happy to order from Alfred's again!

Asada, one is pretty good size.

Very good. Hand made and fresh ingredients. If I had to guess everything here is made from scratch and very tasty. They have hot and extremely hot sauces. The hot sauce was pretty hot and had good flavor. The owner was very friendly and had nice seats and little tables to eat at.

Tlali does this through every layer of the experience, from the artwork on the walls to the colors and textures of the space, and into the richness and intention of the food itself. Pink is my favorite color because it represents the heart, and this place is pure heart. While the prices may be a bit higher than some Mexican restaurants in town, what you are truly investing in is care, integrity, high quality ingredients, and an environment that feels genuinely good to be in. This is food that loves you back. It is worth it, and your body will be happy for it. Everything is made fresh daily, including the tortillas and salsas, and you can taste the difference immediately. There is something sacred about eating food that is prepared with respect, presence, and ancestral remembrance. Every bite feels intentional. The staff are radiant. Always smiling, always kind, always vibrant. It is beautiful to witness people who are clearly supported and happy in their work, and that energy carries straight to the table. Every time I eat here, I feel a deep sense of home and community. I feel held and welcomed. Tlali is a true gift to Ashland, and I am so thankful they are sharing their culture, their sparkly magic, their art, and their heart with this community. This place is special, and you can feel it the moment you walk in.

Great, authentic new Latin American restaurant. This newer restaurant is very popular at the moment…read more- reservations are a must, especially for parties bigger than two because most tables are smaller. The cocktails were extremely well made and beautifully presented. The mixed salsa appetizer (Salsas y Tostadas) is a must to try ~10 different house-made salsas. The taco plate (Tacos de Carnitas) was the standout entree but we enjoyed them all. The flan dessert was solid. Only downside was due to popularity it was quite loud and the music bass was turned up so loud it was irritating and difficult to hear. Next time we will ask for the quieter, "secret garden" seating outside in the rear. All employees were friendly and they even squeezed us in last minute without a reservation! Not cheap, but a great date night spot.

We ordered the asada gourmet tacos $10, asada burrito $10, and Combo 1 pork pupusa with fried plantains and rice & beans $5.50. My favorite was the pupusa. Soft, cheesy, and good flavor. The sides of salsa were sooo good with everything. Their tacos came with handmade tortillas and the "guacamole" was perfect. Again, add some of that salsa with it. Now, I don't typically like my asada burritos with beans, so I asked if it could be made without it. They said the beans were mixed with the rice. I decided to just try it in the burrito. The rice & beans was soooo good, even on its own! Black beans is definitely the way to go. I was also surprised that I liked the fried plantains. I've tried a it a couple times in other places in the past, even a few spots in Miami. However, I was never really fond of them. It's still not something I would regularly order if it wasn't included as a side, but this place was the best I've ever had. This food truck is not pretentious and you get a lot of food for your money. Go check them out.
