We just had BBQ yesterday from Terry Blacks. Today's experience was phenomenal. The folks were super nice. They have Texas Twinkie's...my absolute favorite. Theirs is 5 stars. Smoked perfectly. They weren't over powered with cheese. I ordered ham. It looked dry and I was worried when she was slicing it. It was anything but dry. Smoked perfectly and tasty. I loved it. Great flavor. The brisket was fatty, tender and pull apart deliciousness. My sis loved her pulled pork sandwich. Proudly exclaimed 5 stars! We tried their jalapeño Mac n cheese, green beans, coleslaw, potato salad, baked beans and macaroni salad. The Mac n cheese. Heavenly and the best I've had in Texas. We loved their potato salad. I'm telling you it was perfection. It's a mashed potato salad...and I'd argue like the Mac n cheese the best I've ever had. Coleslaw was creamy and not too sweet and we also really liked their macaroni salad. 2 things. Green beans weren't seasoned. Super bland. And I'm not a fan of how they prepackage their sides and you grab it out of the warmer or cooler. Their sides are some of the best in DFW. Let people see the product. Preparing them ahead gives a generic look and feel. I almost forgot the banana pudding. Soooo good. A must try! I liked that the lady stopped by and how everything was...it was warm and genuine. Bottom line 5 stars. We really really enjoyed it. We will back!

So, not sure how many times I have been here now, but it's a lot; going back over the prior year…read more Biggest challenge for me is hours of operation. They are currently only open a few days a week for a few hours on those select days. Bummer. I'm not going to get into whether or not this place is good, I've already addressed it in prior reviews and updates; in one word it's 'stellar'. The proprietor; Derek has done a tremendous job moving from very small outlet to a very cool large restaurant facility. I took five people there on Saturday and it was a great experience. Derek personally brought the food out. We chatted for a bit, I congratulated him on his growing his business. He said in one day, he does more revenue than he did in a weeks time at his prior "to go" only location. Good for him, he's a true American success story that clearly busted his butt to build his business. If only we had more of those. He's got a great formula. I can't criticize anything he's done; even the bathrooms are spotless and top notch. Whoever built out the plumbing in his place is truly an artist, you have to look at the details, it's not a budget operation. Kudos to this guy for killing it and putting a great crew together. If you haven't tried it you're doing yourself a disservice. If I'm disappointed about one thing, it's the fact he doesn't have those tallow based salted chocolate chip cookies anymore; at least that I could tell. I forgot to ask him about it. He may have had trouble getting consistent quality from his baker, but they were just absolutely awesome and a hell of a deal in my opinion. Pro Tip: I mentioned that I had a pellet grill and I wasn't able to get enough smoke flavor into the meat. It turns out he started on the same one I have. I've got a Yoder YS 640 competition model. He gave me some solid pointers. I can't wait to try them. It will never be as good as his, but hopefully I can improve.

Was visiting for the day and figured why not I love a good challenge. Boy did it not disappoint the outside well let me back up its hidden in a parking lot of some establishments that I can't remember off the top of my head but when you arrive just know you gotta keep an eye out for this place. The staff was super friendly and very welcoming the ordering prices was nice as well very clear cut and doesn't make you feel rushed. Service was quick to I got it to go and it was right at open but I can tell at any moment this place will be popping. The jalapeño cheddar sausage was amazing as were the ribs. The rub on it was fantastic it was euphoric but man only two pieces. The Mac and cheese for me is the star even though I like my Mac and cheese like a cardi b song the bread crumbs made up for it. Now the downside. The banana pudding. I'm a stickler for a banana pudding. This isn't it yall. Skip it at five dollars it's just not worth it. No nilla waffers not actual banana pieces in it. No layered whip. Just it's not my thing it might be for some but my banana pudding standards are thru the roof. The ambiance is great plenty of seating inside and looks amazing. From the outside you'll be like what the heck but once inside you'll feel like man I'm here for something special. Minus the banana pudding. What a great find and this town is lucky to have this place in its home.

They also have three pool tables and TVs. The menu is extensive and the prices reasonable for BBQ. Seems like a favorite of the locals. I though they would be playing C&W, but they had 60's and 70's music on. The squeeze and I split a two meat plate with brisket and sausage and two sides, cowboy cole slaw and Rooster Tails (Deep fried onion petals). The brisket was moist and very tender, with a slight smokiness. The sausage was deeply smoked, sliced in half and charred a bit on the flattop. The slaw and Rooster Tails were really good. A nice slightly spicy dip was served with the onions. Good BBQ sauce for the brisket, and they also had a wall of pain with some choice hot sauces on it. I didn't partake, since I have a flight to catch in the morning. They brought a second plate for no charge. The squeeze had a canned IPA and I had a Shiner Bock draft for libations. We really enjoyed the meal. Morgan was an excellent server and didn't try to shoo us out even though more customers were coming in. I wish I lived around here so I could try the other items on the menu.

Gorgeous day and we wanted to be outside! That said the food is always delicious. Started off with Fried Pickles. Lightly breaded and cooked to pure perfection with a slight crispy texture. Yummy. We stuck with pizza and shared a half hula girl and half sausage mushroom and onion. Crust was firm and how I like it. The spicy hula girl was so flavorful - I don't usually do pineapple on pizza but with the pulled pork and spicy sauces it worked perfectly! The whole little Main Street area of Bridgeport looked like something we would want to explore another time. So glad we found these guys. TVs for football, a well stocked bar, and great pizza! High schoolers showed us as we were leaving but they were polite and not rowdy - ha!

We tried take out with a 18" Meat Lovers pizza and what a sight to see. Large, thick pepperoni, Canadian bacon, beef, bacon and quarter size balls of Italian sausage on a nicely sauced pizza crust. While not my favorite crust, I had to take into account we drove for 45 minutes after picking it up. The only negative (which I love) is trying to fold a slice and take a bite is tough because the three balls of sausage rolled right off the slice. Fixed it by breaking them up so they wouldn't roll! Great taste. Sauce and cheese were just right and the bottom crust was very nice, held together under the weight of the toppings but still gave a soft mouth feel. Loved the pizza! Mozzarella sticks appeared be freshly made: great breading and soft, warm cheese. Excellent side dish. Service was right on, it was ready we when showed up three minutes early, greets warmly and checked out within four minutes. Dining area was clean, TVs not too loud and lighting wasn't too bright. We will go back after I finish off the leftovers. Best pizza in town for sure.
