Cold beer on tap or by can / bottle
    Brad M.

This place is Great! Named after the founding of the town, in case you were wondering, it's a tiny little place that has everything a growing boy needs... game on the TV, ice cold beer, and 1/2 and 1/2 pizza with Jalapeño Popper and Buffalo chicken! Who needs to make a decision before a beer, right? No fancy review here: Hand-tossed crispy-bottom pizza, good beer, good music, good friends. 5 STARS

Service was good- quick, on top of things but not overbearing. The kinds of pizza they offer are fun and the flavors were good. We ordered the white, pulled pork, and brisket pizzas. They offer a gluten free option, too, which was a plus. My complaints about the pizzas were that the crust did not seem to be homemade. They looked/felt/tasted like the premade ones you can buy at a grocery store. They also could have been cooked a little longer- the crust was still pale and floppy. And they were very, very greasy. Like grease was literally running down my arm when I picked up a slice. My brother in law ordered some naked wings, though, and those were outstanding. Without the wings, I probably would have given them 3 stars. I don't know that I would go back for the pizza again, but I would very enthusiastically order more wings from them.

Great service. Great food!!! We come from Haslet tx and for no reason at all decided to take a drive. We ended up here. We ordered fried ravioli, fried mac and cheese, chiquen tenders and the jalapeño popper pizza. Everything was delicious!!! I'm glad we ended up here.

Service was outstanding but the pizza was average for us. It was good, but not something I'd crave. I have several friends though that crave this pizza. To each their own. I can promise you one thing though, you won't be disappointed with the service.

Traveling in area and stopped in the historic downtown area of Bridgeport Texas and found 1860 pizza. Kyle the owner greeted us as we walked in the door. Kyle was very attentive in regards to a few things. We got our drinks to start off and we were given ample time to discuss our options in regards to the pizzas. We ended up going with the jalapeño popper pizza which was fantastic. Corn meal on the bottom of a pizza is the only way to go. Thin crusted. And cooked just right. A little crunch but def not burnt. Perfect. We also ordered the brisket pizza. (Yes we took one whole medium pizza home lol). Same results with the brisket pizza. The pizza you could tell was made with care as the brisket pizza had bbq drizzled throughout. But it had appeal to it. Not just dumped onto the pizza. Highly recommend this place whether your a local or traveler. Was great to have conversation with the owner who you could see was working really hard at growing his business. For a pizza shop that has only been open for 7 months i give him big props. And yes we are a bit of pizza snobs. Everybody has their thing don't judge us. Lol. As far as the ambiance it reminded us of home. So it was perfect. Tables were clean. Floor was clean. Loved the table designs and of course the American flag over the bar was a nice touch. Beer was cold as well. Keep up the great work Kyle you are headed def in the right direction.

While other servers seemed more focused on socializing with regulars than doing their jobs, Taylor stood out immediately. She stayed engaged, checked in at the right times, and made sure everything was handled without needing to be asked twice. That's not luck--that's professionalism. She brings a mix of intelligence and humor that makes the experience better without being forced or over the top. More importantly, she executes. Orders are right, timing is right, and the overall experience feels intentional--not neglected. If you're going to Rowdy Cowboy, don't leave it to chance. Ask for Taylor by name. She's an asset to that place, and based on what I saw, she's setting a standard others there aren't meeting

My Overall Rating - 3 1/2 Stars (5 Stars if you only care about service) Atmosphere - It's pretty electric. There is a large bar in the middle, tons of bar seating, and during my Thursday visit for lunch, it was packed. The vibes are good, and tons of TVs are showing sports. If you have an XY chromosome, this is your place. 1 Star. Service - Rowdy Cowboy is known for having great servers who are very friendly (and nice to look at). All tables were taken, so I sat at the bar. The bartenders were fast, efficient, and very friendly. They got my order wrong, but I don't care. Their friendliness made me not care. 1 Star. Food - Look, if you're here, you're not here for the food. I started with the Steak Frites. The steak was super tender but lacked seasoning. The shoestring fries were awesome and made the perfect pairing to the steak. I ordered the Brisket Sliders but ended up with Wagyu Sliders. I didn't mind because our bartenders were so friendly, but the sliders were just ok. Remember, this place is not known for the food. 1/2 Star. Will I Return? - Yes. Rowdy Cowboy knows exactly what it does well, and believe me it does it well. In fact, out of all the restaurants in this genre, Rowdy Cowboy has the friendliest staff. Yes, I will be back. 1 Star.

You come here for a specific vibe and that vibe does not conform to typical restaurant standards. So do with that information, what you may. The ambiance is probably the best of any lakeside establishment I have been to so far, garage doors open the dining room up to fresh air and sun. The only downside is that the marina building block most of the beautiful view. The menu was full was creative names that make you giggle as you read them. We started the fried floaters (fried pickles) and fried ritos (fried burritos) to start. Both were good the fried Rito's were reminiscent of all famous burrito, although not quite that good still delicious although they were quite large. I was expecting something that looked more like an egg roll and these were full-size burritos so keep that in mind before ordering. For my main course, I had the Tom's classic burger, was a little disappointed as it was less flavorful and a little bit drier than I expected it to be. The fries and everything else were great. We skipped dessert this time. The staff were all very polite and professional, overall I liked this place I probably won't go back just because of the distance. I gave it four stars because of the burger quality. Also FYI, like many lakeside grills, they still allow smoking at this particular establishment so be aware, in case that's something that bothers you.

I spoke to the manager and she said because we were there the day prior she would allow lunch. What actually happened was the people who ordered breakfast got their orders twenty minutes before the lunch items. So they slow rolled the lunch items to match what they wanted. Also I watched burgers being delivered to tables around us at 11:40am before we received our special consideration lunch. We all…read moresampled each other's burgers and sandwiches (chicken philly, club, and T-BAM) and swore we would come back to order what our neighbors ordered because one measley bite was not enough to properly enjoy the deliciousness. And we did, even though we live 20 minutes away and have no other reason for visiting this area. Your sandwich or burger comes with homemade fries or chips, and the fries here are my favorite in all of DFW. The T-BAM (turkey) sandwich is flawless, and is quickly becoming the family favorite. I plan to come here the next time I'm in the mood for a cheeseburger. Someone at another table ordered one; the melted cheese dripping down the patty looked amazing, and I saw the look on his face when he took his first bite. You know how once in a blue moon you find a restaurant where the chef clearly knows food so well that you would try absolutely anything on the menu just to see what they've created? This is one of those places for me. I can't wait to order some of the appetizers, too. (Giant soft pretzel with IPA cheese!) I also love the look of the inside of this place. Fun, clean, and inviting. Service was impeccable. The staff was attentive and had no problem handling my in-laws' many, many modification requests (add this, remove that, double grill the onions). Good kids menu, too. They also do brunch on Saturdays and Sundays. Happy hour (half price domestics) is Monday-Friday 2-6pm. This is my #1 food recommendation of the year.

First, the overall service has consistently been lacking. The hostess at the front has never been particularly welcoming, and the service in general feels pretty disengaged. It's not necessarily outright rude - it just feels like there's no real effort, which sets the tone right away. We've noticed a big decline over the past 6-12 months. It used to be better, but lately it's just not the same. As for the food... it's simply not worth the price. We're talking $100+ tabs and leaving disappointed every time. This last visit really sealed it for us. I ordered something very simple, and my son got a basic chicken sandwich - chicken, bun, pickles, ketchup, cheese. It came out with a barely toasted bun and chicken that tasted like it had been fried in old grease. Not appetizing at all. We also ordered cheese fries, and they were undercooked and just drenched in queso - more like a bowl of cheese with fries tossed in, rather than properly melted, crispy cheese fries. This isn't a one-time experience either - we've tried several times hoping it would improve, and it just hasn't. If you're going for drinks and to watch a game, it might be okay. But for a full meal, especially at that price point, we wouldn't recommend it. Sadly, this last visit was enough for us - we won't be returning.
