I recently hired Ardmore Windows and Doors to replace 18 windows in my home, and while the sales…read moreprocess started off strong, the rest of the experience was incredibly disappointing. To begin with, the sales representative was punctual, knowledgeable, and thorough. He clearly explained all the window options and helped us choose the style we wanted. Unfortunately, that is where the professionalism ended. One of the most alarming issues occurred during installation: a window was either dropped or thrown from the second floor onto my front lawn, where it shattered. The crew made no attempt to clean it up. I only discovered the shards the next day while outside barefoot with my toddler. I spent hours picking up tiny pieces of glass myself. When I raised this with the project manager, he didn't apologize or show any concern--he simply offered $100 off for my "time." Beyond that, the overall project management and execution were riddled with issues. I had to review the order sheet at least ten times because the company repeatedly made mistakes--wrong quantities, wrong styles, wrong hardware. Even after all of that, the final order was still incorrect. I requested that the new windows match the existing styles (e.g., 6 over 1, 8 over 1), yet this was ignored, and we only realized the error during installation when it was too late to correct. They also installed two top sashes in one window and acted as if this was normal. Their explanation was that "owners ask for ridiculous things sometimes," so they didn't question it. This was the only window of the 18 installed incorrectly, yet I was the one who had to push to have it acknowledged. The hardware situation was equally unprofessional. They installed mismatched pieces--gold locks with nickel lifts--because the hardware we selected was "out of stock," but they never told us. When we asked for replacements, they simply handed me a catalog and told me to choose new ones, offering no guidance, even though only one alternative actually worked with the holes they had already drilled. Another major issue involved the window screens. I requested screens for all windows in the original estimate, and this was clearly documented. Despite that, no screens were installed. Their excuse was that "homeowners don't often want to open their windows." After the mistake was pointed out, they installed makeshift screens that don't fit properly and are extremely difficult to remove and replace--clearly not the correct screens for the windows we purchased. The job, which was supposed to take a few days, dragged on for weeks due to unfinished work, installation errors, and repeated reorders caused by their own mistakes. Some of the work is still unfinished. I would not recommend Ardmore Windows and Doors to anyone. Unless you want to act as your own project manager, clean up after the crew, and still end up with results that don't match what you paid tens of thousands of dollars for, look elsewhere.

Dave did not give a hard "sales pitch". He just told the facts, presented us with images and said we could start as soon as we wanted. The cost was very affordable for a very high quality product. We are extremely satisfied with the beautiful result. I would highly recommend Dave and his crew from DOORS AND MORE.

I do not recommend this business…read more The owner Dave never once came to my home. He relied on me for measurements. I told him I didn't trust myself but he said it's a standard measure. And as u suspected the door was delivered to short for the opening leaving his installer to build a false trim. My walls were scratched and dented during delivery. Dave was made aware the install was on the 2nd floor. The door is an extremely heavy door made of 100% metal. I was shocked when Dave didn't show up for the installation. To date I never met Dave. The door handle was not installed properly. There are screws missing so the handle and back plate shifts every time you open and close the door. My husband and I called and texted several times but Dave never responds. I have never done business this way before. Dave was not easy to work with. I'm still waiting for a response to fix the handle. The door was installed months ago. I would never recommend Dave. He fell short from beginning to end.

DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS. My fiancé and I needed a window replaced in our kitchen and Frankie…read morereached out to my fiancé through Home Advisor the moment he inquired about an estimate. A week later he has his girlfriend come by to pick up a 50% deposit that we had provided promptly upon his request. Fast forward about two months later that we are scheduled to have the window installed. We were extremely understanding that things are delayed due to a global pandemic right now, but the lack of communication during that two month period was a huge red flag. We had to reach out to Frankie multiple times just to confirm that the job would be done and he never once reached out to us first. Weeks later, two guys came to install the window and spent a good five hours doing the job. Once they left, we noticed that the window was installed sideways. Not once was it brought to our attention that the window seemed to be the wrong size, as we were giving them their space to do their job and are not those people who hover because we expect that the job would be done correctly. My fiancé immediately called Frankie to let him know, and he had a very "my bad" approach and offered to come the following day to repair the window. Frankie never showed up to repair the window. We have had other contractors take a look at our sideways window and assured us that we were completely ripped off and the work that was done is laughable. We ended up taking Trusted Windows to small claims court, won our case, and were never paid back the 50% deposit that was stolen from us. He has since left Home Advisor and has lied to them about paying us our settlement through channels that we do not even have (Zelle or TD Bank). Gave it almost a year before leaving this review to allow Frankie to do the right thing, but he never did. Let this review be a warning to reconsider working with "Trusted Windows", as they are anything but trustworthy, and to NOT pay a cent until the job is completed the correct way. Lesson learned.
