Thus far my experience with them have been far from pleasant.
1. I was told by Cindy to provide $300 to hold the agreed upon estimated price, which later changed drastically after measuring of my kitchen even though the work is far less than what was originally discussed as there now would be less cabinets and no demolition nor removal of old cabinets involved as I originally told her but she did not factor into her estimates.
2. They refuse to settle on a final price before starting the work. I understand minor things can occur here and there as with any work, but this place dances around your concerns and avoids answering definitively.
3. I tried to get my $300 back but they refused even though nothing was said that it is not refundable. Cindy later said that the $300 was simply for her to come out to do the measuring which by the way was a terrible job, because it ended up now I am waiting for her to send in a real construction guy to remeasure so I can finally get my TRUE estimate.
4. So far I have not been getting email nor phone nor text replies back in a reasonable time. One email reply once took over a week. A response to get a remeasure which should have been done correctly the first time around is still pending over a week now. Cindy said the construction guy is busy on another project, but my measuring would only take 5 minutes if that.
5. I was lied to about the country of origin of the cabinets and flooring even though I asked 3 times.
6. I was lied to about the materials of the cabinets having MDF which I was trying to avoid. I specifically had asked if it was all real solid wood to which Cindy replied yes.
To this day I have yet to get a remeasure but they have my $300 and I don't think they have any intention to do any work on my kitchen at all this year despite asking Cindy when I first visited whether they have the man capacity to do the work NOW, not 3 weeks from now or months from now to which she said yes. Unfortunately that is clearly not the case.
7. I lost faith in their ability to do the flooring correctly as I had told them 4 times verbally that the particular flooring material I chose should never be installed underneath cabinets. Cindy insisted this is a new floor material that can withstand the weight of the cabinets and do not expand and contract. I finally found evidence directly from the floor manufacturer's web site showing what I had been saying all along. Thereafter Cindy finally agreed with me and backtracked on what she said. Is this a place that does a lot of flooring properly? To not know the manufacturer's specifications especially since they are the ones selling their products? read more
