I'm a week or two late with this review I have been in glowing over my new windows. From the first phone call in scheduling the appointment. I encountered Travis, and when I tell you, his professionalism and customer service was above and beyond. Ryan was my sales person whom we hit it off instantly I explained to him that I had other vendors come. I wasn't looking to beat around the bush. This was my budget and from there the contract was signed. Ryan quoted me on the spot, took the necessary measurements and pictures And beat all competitors pricing. The installers Jimmy and Anthony came in the morning and was done before 1 o'clock in the afternoon. My house was clean as though they weren't even there in and out with no hassle and no mess. They were super friendly professional, and did an amazing job I couldn't recommend a better window company and I'm so glad I went with Markeys. I feel an instant difference on so many levels with the new windows. No more outside sounds no more bugs and my heat actually stays in the house no drafts no breezes. We have used this company twice now for window installations. Both times the salesperson, Ryan got right back to me and came over for quotes. I found their prices better than the 4 other companies we got quotes from . Both times there was a little bit of a wait for the windows to come in (2 months i think) but overall great service and a flawless install both times. A+ read more

I paid $3,200 for 4 windows and windowsills; they were installed in September and everything was fine until it started getting cold. In mid-November I contacted them as condensation appeared on the windows and on the caulk/sealing of one window, that it's in my son's room. Andrew advised that windows don't create condensation and it is the humidity in my house. I placed dehumidifiers in all the rooms, however the condensation on the caulk/sealing still appearing. After much insistence on my part, they agree to insulate that window again. On December 14 they came and put insulation only on the bottom on the window from the inside of the house. It works fine until the temperature dropped below 20 degrees, then the condensation on the caulk/sealing reappeared. I attached some pictures. I spoke with the owner last Monday 1/31/22 and he agreed to send his team this week; as last week was too cold. However, I have not heard back from them to schedule the day yet. Hope this is fixed this winter as I don't want to wait until next winter to see if it was fixed. read more

I recently had 5 windows, patio doors, a front door and a storm door replaced by Markey. I can't say enough nice things about the work done! Igor and Anthony did a fabulous job - they completed the whole thing in one day, were early to arrive, were professional, friendly, very neat and did great work! The job was seamless, from my dealings with Ryan the Project Manager, Rob in the office, Andrew who came to measure, and Igor and Anthony who did the physical labor, I couldn't be happier! They were so flexible and even did the external finish work on three other of my windows that a previous contractor left me high and dry on without completing that job. I needed 3 basement windows replaced. I called a number of companies but no one wanted to come out for 3 small basement windows. I got Markey from the Clipper magazine. I called the company and they said they would be happy to come out and give me an estimate. I then went online and checked them out. I could not find a bad thing about them. The rep came on time, showed me a sample, explained how they worked and gave me a price. The price was better than I expected. I gave him the order there and then. The installers came about 4 weeks later and installed all 3 windows in about an hour and a half. Very nice job. One thing I really liked about Markey was that all his installers were W2 employees and not 1099 subcontractors, very unusual in this day and age. I will need a new roof in couple of years, if his price is good I will definitely use him. read more

The crew they sent for my siding job didn't seem to be familiar with siding installation. Though very nice, the workers nailed their scaffolding into my roof without lifting the shingles first, so large holes in my 2 year old roof. They had to re-shingle those areas ( glad I had extra shingles) They also sided over one of the attic vents and I had to go into my attic and take a picture of where they sided over vent before they believed me. They damaged three plants in front of house because they threw siding they removed all over the plants. They accidentally ripped a couple of screens while removing old siding. The Company did make good on all damage. The finished job was fine, but not without a great deal of aggravation and many phone calls on my part. I have to add, I was impressed the owner of Markey did reach out to me to apologize and ask if there was anything he could do to make thing better. Because he took the time to listen and help in any way did make a difference in how I view this Company, but I still believe i had to deal with unnecessary issues. read more

Markey Home Remodeling states, that they are matching the price. I showed them the contract of my friends (only 9 months ago). The difference in a cost for 8 windows 800 series of Okna (not matching the own price! ) is more than $1,100! They are not following own policy.How may you trust them with a warranty? read more

In February Markey replaced five windows in my home. Tommy and Jimmy did great work and completed the job in a timely manner. Ryan was very responsive and the price that he quoted was competitive. What I liked most about this company was their thoroughness. They showed up when they said they would, got directly to the job upon arrival, and the best part was the clean up. They left the area cleaner than they met it and that made my day. I wish there was a 1/2 point because I would give 4.5 stars, the only issue I had was with the other worker, he seemed like he was an apprentice, he should have not been on the job. I will use them again and I recommend them to anyone looking for window replacements. Great job, well done! read more

Needed 10 windows and stopped in their showroom. Met by a 'manager' - real quick slick sales presentation and then wanted to close the deal. I balked and then the price came way down - felt like I was in a car dealership. I seriously don't like dealing with people like that, no thanks. If you have been speaking to the major national replacement window companies, you owe it to yourself to get a quote from these folks before you sign anything. Avoid these guys. They need constant follow up, need to be called and reminded. Window replacement work needed supervision and we had to point out some shoddy fit and finish. They are nice before the contract, behave totally different after you sign contract and hand them the down payment. Will not use them again and do not recommend. read more

I had all the windows in my almost 30 year old townhouse replaced by Markey. They were recommended by the glass repair shop that fixed some of the cracked glass in my neighbor's unit. For the sake of thoroughness, and as a first time home owner, I wound up getting a couple other quotes and Markey was the lowest of all (which I know isn't necessarily always a good thing) and the least pushy in terms of sales. I wound up going to the showroom for some follow-up questions before making my final decisions, and they were very helpful there as well. Overall I found them very good, although they are a small business and as such there were times I had to reach out to them for updates. I work in corporate America and am the daughter of a small business owner, so I'm used to nagging people and understand the never-ending to-do list that running a business is. However, if you don't want to be on top of your contractors, that may be something to keep in mind. In terms of actual installation, my first attempt was rained out. I wasn't notified until I called them around 830 to see if I should continue staying home/working from home that day. On my second attempt, a team of 2 in-house contractors came and were incredibly thorough. They worked all day, cleaned up after themselves, and really did a phenomenal job installing and keeping me informed on what was happening. They even helped straighten out my front and back screen doors before leaving for no additional cost! About a month or two after my installation finished, I realized they had not billed my the final 2/3 of my bill. The first 1/3 was billed prior to installation as a down payment. I wound up reaching out to them so the final 2/3 were paid. But, again, I would cite this as the second example of how you might have to be a pro-active homeowner/project manager. read more

We brought in Renewal by Anderson, way out of our price range. Did not really like similar Anderson windows to what we had and started to look at vinyl I have had this thing against vinyl replacement windows based on one of the places we used to live at. We brought in a couple of vendors and my opinion changed working with Rick the sales rep from Markey. He took us through the whole process, showed us how the windows are made and used a heat lamp so we could feel the window keeps the heat on the other side. We were told it would take half a day to replace 8 windows, took two guys, one the owners' son, to do the job in a little over 2 hours. When we can get the budget up and going, we will use them again. read more

I contacted them in late March to get an estimate on replacing the porch windows of my 1949 home. The estimator, Rob, came in, took measurements, promised to get back to me in a few dats. The company sent someone else who would be handling the project to assess the job. I still hadn't heard anything by May 2 when I emailed Rob to ask if there was a problem getting my estimate. He said absolutely not, but the tech who came had left the company and they wanted to put the right team together and he'd have a quote in a couple of days. I never got the quote (it's now July). 2 other companies came in, provided estimates in a timely manner, and we just had the job done by one of them. I would have preferred Markey to be upfront with me if they didn't want to or couldn't take the job, instead I was just left hanging. read more

Just unprofessional. Showed up 30 mins late. The appointment window was for 9-12, which was confirmed. He alleged he was running late. Well it's 2016 and there's something called a cell phone and people use these to contact others to inform them of important things. Showed zero interest in what work we needed done, quoted a ridiculously high price. If you like wasting time and money go for it, I suggest not. read more

Very reliable and accommodating. They replaced most of my windows in my home. Always on time and Good cleanup after job was competed. I had issue with one of the Windows not being caulked on the outside properly and they came back and. fixed it in a timely manner. I gave them 4 stars because I was a bit disappointed in my one window not being caulked properly but overall I was very pleased and would definitely use them again. read more

I had 4 windows installed in my daughters condo. Initially everything was fine. A problem developed with one of the windows. I called Markey and they sent someone over. The person started to tell me they were lower end windows. I told him that when I pay 2k for 4 windows, I expect them to work. He said that they would contact the manufacturer. Several weeks later I called and was told by Rob that someone would call me. 2 weeks and no call. I called and Rob said that he would follow up. I called 2 weeks later and was told that the window was on its way. A week later on Monday I was called and was told that it could be installed on Saturday if they get it. Rob told me he would confirm later in the week. No call so I called Friday and left a message. Saturday I get a call at 8 am that they are on their way. I told them I never got a confirmation call and told them to come back at 2. The installers who showed up were great. If Rob had followed up, and kept me informed, it would have been ok. read more
