Tony and his crew took on a pretty difficult project for me of replacing arched windows in a tower, about 15-20 ft up. The windows were inaccessable from the outside, so they had to improvise from the inside. It took two days to replace (plus production time), and they did a wonderful job on as it as far as I can tell - the new windows look great! I am very thankful for their help and for being attentive to my needs when I asked them to change the glass from tinted to clear. Bloomfield Window and Door is NOT lead certified. That means that if your house was built before 1978 and has lead paint, they cannot legally work on your home, but they do anyway. They do not follow EPA's guidelines for working with lead paint and will expose you and your family to lead paint. They lied to us and told us they were certified. They are not. They lied and told us that they followed the procedures. They did not. Here is a link to the EPA site where you can look up contractors who are actually certified. https://cdxapps.epa.gov/ocspp-oppt-lead/firm-location-search/distance I have reported them to the EPA. Don't risk exposing your family to lead dust. They continue to claim they are lead certified but will not produce their certification number. If they are certified, why did they not follow the EPA guidelines for lead? When I asked them, they didn't even know what the guidelines were. I had my son's lead levels checked following their installation, and they went UP. How irresponsible do you have to be to knowingly expose a young child to toxic lead? I shouldn't have to be an environmental lawyer to keep my family safe. This company should do the right thing, admit they lied, and clean up their mess. read more

We met with Tony on a smallish job and were so impressed with the quality of the product and Tony's knowledge that we decided to add in basically every product the company sells. We got a new front door, a new back storm door and beautiful sets of sliding doors and windows for our Glass enclosed porch. The best was replacing our three pane floor to ceiling window on that porch, which overlooks the park with an entire piece of singular glass, which really opened up the place and put us right into the view. The crew was fantastic, knowledgeable and did a great job building out the window units. While overall the cost may not seem cheap, you've got to understand these are the top quality products put in by a strong experienced crew. If I could give more stars, I would. We recently had this company replace four doors in our house, including a troublesome pocket door. We were sure we'd have to tear out part of our kitchen wall to replace it, but the company's pocket-door specialist managed to install a beautiful brand-new custom door without ripping our wall apart. All the doors from this company were custom-made and really strong and well-suited in design and color to the part of the house they were installed in. I think the main reason this project worked out so well is because the owner, Tony, sat with us before starting and went into great detail about the pros and cons of various types of doors, the costs involved and the time frame. He also made it clear how supply-chain problems would impact the project's completion. And finally, one thing Tony did really was above and beyond. He ran into a problem getting copies of our 40-year-old keys made, and had a locksmith come to the house and install new locks on our front doors--doors that weren't even part of the project. And because he hadn't foreseen the problem and made it part of his estimate, he ate the cost! I haven't dealt with many contractors who would do that. And his crew were friendly and very skilled. I am surprised there are not more reviews here. Tony and his group helped me replace 3 of my old broken basement windows with new windows. The windows they used were exactly what I wanted, sturdy, secure, and aesthetically appealing. They are able to be pulled out relatively easily to act as a fire escape also which is a big plus. The group did the job right by installing insulation around the windows, and properly sealing them away to reduce heat loss. My basement feels more cozy and comfortable now, and definitely warmer. There is more work to be done in the house on my large windows and backyard door to create a french door, and am looking forward to having Tony continue his great work.
