    Ardmor Windows & Doors

I recently hired Ardmore Windows and Doors to replace 18 windows in my home, and while the sales…read moreprocess started off strong, the rest of the experience was incredibly disappointing. To begin with, the sales representative was punctual, knowledgeable, and thorough. He clearly explained all the window options and helped us choose the style we wanted. Unfortunately, that is where the professionalism ended. One of the most alarming issues occurred during installation: a window was either dropped or thrown from the second floor onto my front lawn, where it shattered. The crew made no attempt to clean it up. I only discovered the shards the next day while outside barefoot with my toddler. I spent hours picking up tiny pieces of glass myself. When I raised this with the project manager, he didn't apologize or show any concern--he simply offered $100 off for my "time." Beyond that, the overall project management and execution were riddled with issues. I had to review the order sheet at least ten times because the company repeatedly made mistakes--wrong quantities, wrong styles, wrong hardware. Even after all of that, the final order was still incorrect. I requested that the new windows match the existing styles (e.g., 6 over 1, 8 over 1), yet this was ignored, and we only realized the error during installation when it was too late to correct. They also installed two top sashes in one window and acted as if this was normal. Their explanation was that "owners ask for ridiculous things sometimes," so they didn't question it. This was the only window of the 18 installed incorrectly, yet I was the one who had to push to have it acknowledged. The hardware situation was equally unprofessional. They installed mismatched pieces--gold locks with nickel lifts--because the hardware we selected was "out of stock," but they never told us. When we asked for replacements, they simply handed me a catalog and told me to choose new ones, offering no guidance, even though only one alternative actually worked with the holes they had already drilled. Another major issue involved the window screens. I requested screens for all windows in the original estimate, and this was clearly documented. Despite that, no screens were installed. Their excuse was that "homeowners don't often want to open their windows." After the mistake was pointed out, they installed makeshift screens that don't fit properly and are extremely difficult to remove and replace--clearly not the correct screens for the windows we purchased. The job, which was supposed to take a few days, dragged on for weeks due to unfinished work, installation errors, and repeated reorders caused by their own mistakes. Some of the work is still unfinished. I would not recommend Ardmore Windows and Doors to anyone. Unless you want to act as your own project manager, clean up after the crew, and still end up with results that don't match what you paid tens of thousands of dollars for, look elsewhere.

When I first purchased this piece, the doors still had their original glass, but unfortunately, they were cracked and beyond saving. One of the glass shelves was also missing, so I decided to have Morris Plate Glass fabricate a replacement that would fit perfectly. From start to finish, the experience was smooth and professional. Their team was friendly, attentive, and clearly took pride in their craft. They listened carefully to what I needed, measured everything precisely, and even made sure the glass matched the original look and feel of the cabinet as closely as possible. The turnaround time was about a week, which I thought was very reasonable for a custom project. When I picked up the finished pieces, I was blown away by the quality. The glass fit perfectly, the edges were clean and polished, and the overall craftsmanship was exceptional. It's clear they put real care and attention into their work, which means a lot when you're restoring something unique and irreplaceable. The only reason I'm not giving five stars is that the price was a bit higher than I expected. It's definitely on the expensive side--but to be fair, you get what you pay for, and the quality and precision of their work more than justify the cost. Overall, I'm extremely happy with the results and would absolutely recommend Morris Plate Glass to anyone who needs custom glasswork done right. They brought new life to my vintage cabinet, and I couldn't be more pleased with how it turned out.

From the beginning I was met with a man who answers the phone there with nothing but rudeness and attitude. It was like he was annoyed that I was calling. Everytime I had a question or even when I tried to explain what I needed done, he would just cut me short and tell me he can't give me a price until someone comes out. Finally after over a month, the technician came and couldn't do the job. My overall impression is that whoever is running this joke of a business needs to learn some manners and take some business 101 courses. I will be sure to warn my friends and neighbors NOT to call this place. Lesson learned.

Here is a run down of what happened: June 7, 2019- the workers came, measured the window and glass required and gave an estimate. Paid $150 in advance. They were to bring the window for installation within 3 to 4 weeks. July 17, 2019- one worker came with the window and while fixing it, pulled it very hardly. I was standing by the side and heard the sound. He broke the side hook/screw. Thus the window is now just for 'show' and we cannot slide it. Instead of apologizing for using extra force, he asked for $75 to get replace the part, which was working well all these years. Later asked for another $20 to get it urgently. After a number of emails between us, finally he told me that the company is too busy and could send me the part by mail and I could get it fixed by someone else. Since we needed to slide the window open, I agreed. By the way, when he first claimed to have mailed the part, I didn't receive it. When I asked him for postal tracking number, he sent the part with a tracking number that I received on September 3, 2019. Bottom line: If you have lots of time at hand to get your windows repaired and have extra cash to spend, use their services.
