********** FOR THIS DEALERSHIP Picked up my beautiful new Rogue on 10/3/26. My salesman, Aakhir, was wonderful and extremely helpful and knowledgable. The sales manager, Steffan, was so pleasant and helped get the deal over the finish line. Deven in the finance department, (who has a striking resemblance to actor, Steve Carell), made signing the paperwork so painless. From beginning to end, my experience with this wonderful team of gentleman was seamless! I highly recommend this dealership and Aakhir, Steffan and Deven! Will be back in three years! read more

The service center tried charging me $250 for a "diagnostic" charge despite me knowing what the issue with my car was. The lady on the phone would not budge on this completely ludicrous charge. However, whoever helped me at the parts department was very nice and completed my request in a timely manner. I would avoid all the BS charges the service center might throw in there and just go straight to the parts department because who knows how much extra you'll end up spending. read more

I recently brought my QX60 in for service due to a high idle concern, a malfunctioning volume button, and an intermittent issue with my side mirror not opening properly. I appreciate that the technicians were able to repair the volume button. They were also honest that they could not duplicate the issue with the side mirror during my visit, which I understand can happen with intermittent problems. However, I was disappointed with my interaction regarding the high idle concern. The service representative repeatedly suggested that I needed to use premium gasoline. Both my husband and I explained multiple times that we already use premium fuel exclusively. Despite this, the representative continued to insist that the car "knows the difference in octane" and emphasized switching to premium gas. I found this frustrating because I felt that my concerns were not being heard and that my statements about how I maintain my own vehicle were being dismissed. As a customer, I expect my observations to be taken seriously. Even if premium fuel is a common recommendation, once I clarified that this was already our practice, I would have appreciated a more collaborative discussion about other possible causes of the issue rather than feeling as though my honesty or understanding was being questioned. I value professionalism and clear communication, and I hope this feedback helps improve the customer experience for others in the future. read more

This review is for Alex ONLY from the parts department. If I was rating Bridgewater Nissan altogether, they would get 2-3 stars (but that's for another time). I had to make a stop into Nissan to have my key fob battery replaced as one or both of my fobs were reading low battery. Alex quickly greeted me, remained professional, and even assisted me with finding another Nissan location that had a touch up paint pen that matched the color of my car. My entire visit was probably less than 15 minutes, but I think it's important to always highlight and acknowledge great customer service. Thanks Alex! read more

I recently leased my fiancé a 2020 Nissan Murano Platinum and I was really impressed with the process. My fiancé and I stopped in with no intentions of getting another Nissan because she was dead set on a Ford Explorer Limited but after been approved by Mike Mateo and with the help of executive manager Eric S. we were sold and leased a car that day, again we had no intentions of leasing a car that day or even getting a Nissan but with no pressure sales etc we had no reason not to. My fiancé was dead set on a red or blue color and with the pandemic availability of cars are very limited due no these cars been shipped from overseas but Eric found us a blue one from upstate NY and had it transferred to NJ for us. Of course transferring a car 300 miles there is a chance you might incur a scratch or two from rocks which it did, we did not notice that till taking off and another the next day. Mike Mateo listened to our concerns, got in touch with Eric who was then on vacation, had the car sent to the body shop to correct the issue. We finally picked it back up yesterday in excellent condition and even had it ceramic wraps for us for protections from future rocks damages. I couldn't be more happier with the service because when she's happy (fiancé) my life is better too . By the way the blue was much better than the red after seeing it so we lucked out. Anyone in search for a Nissan or a car/truck definitely check out Eric S (Exec) or Mike Mateo and tell them E sent ya. Great customer service goes a long way and they archived that. Happy customer! read more

Great people and willing to negotiate . I would certainly go to them again. Best price of all the Nissans in the area

Was looking for my lost keyfob for about a month. Searched inside my house and inside my car for every nook and cranny. Took my Maxima to Bridgewater Nissan for a new one. After they charged me almost $500, the "lost" keyfob magically reappears in plain sight view behind the driver's seat. Have been a loyal costumer there, and to treat my like I have lost my mind when I question them about it, makes my blood boil. Will not be coming back to this place. read more

I have been a regular customer at this location for years. This time the experience was horrible. First the service manager (who attend the car servicing) has very discouraging. I explained 4 issues with my vehicle and with every issue he kept saying, I don't know if that be looked today, it may take tomorrow .. with every problem. I said first hear the issues then talk about the timings as I am aware you may have to keep the car for couple of days.. But can you let me know by eod today whatever progress is made. He took my number and said Yes. (With this behavior, I forgot to mention 1 more issue) The call never came. I called back next day, he told me that he left a VM and I did not respond. I asked the number where he called and found he dialed the old number (not the number that he noted). I asked what is the progress, he said nothing.. technician has not looked at the car yet. I got frustrated and asked him to juts change the oil and give it back. He said fine. and never called again that car is done. When I called 4 hrs after, I was told car is ready. I tried to share this experience while paying for oil change, the guys just ignore what I said. read more

Wow, let me say this..the dealership, the customer service, the people who work there are absolutely amazing!!! I had a terrible situation w my previous car and they made getting into a new car so easy and stress free! I wasn't expecting to buy a new car right now but let me tell you from now on I will never do it anywhere else! Between Joe in sales, Eric in service and Eric in finance dept, I was truly blessed!!! Thank you for everything! During a rough and unexpected time they went above and beyond. ASK FOR JOE OR ERIC IF YOU NEED ANYTHING. Amazing employees!!!! read more

I drove by and saw a sign that stated 25% Off major service. So I called service. The whole team is Ber in professional. I inquired on timing belt but The service desk person answered was annoyed and would not answer any questions and said he would call me back. The person responding was more aggressive and insisted that I provide the vin# I order to get a price. I spoke with him for 10 mins it was basically a debate. In the end I just gave up and told them that I would call back. I would not call back. Just disappointed with the service. read more

I went to the Nissan dealer in Bridgewater, NJ to get the heater fixed. Basically the blower needed to be replaced. It took them 7 hours and the labor cost $1,225! That $175 an hour! That's more than a lot of doctors make. That would be $364,000 a year. Why did it have to cost so much? The repair cost $1,598.99. My second car had a huge transmission collapse and it would have cost $1,900 to fix, but I just got a new car. Where do they get off charging so much? What's their excuse? Also, the blower makes an annoying whining sound when I use it. It didn't make that sound before. For the huge amount they charged, the least they could do is do it right! read more

My car had an ABS recall during the Corvid 19 pandemic and they made getting the repair and additional maintenance done very easy. The service manager, Eric, arranged for the car to be picked up and delivered ensuring the individuals identified themselves to us. To a person they were kind and totally customer focused. Eric kept us updated on the status throughout the day. The car was picked up at our home and returned on the same day. It was sanitized inside and sparkling on the outside. This was above and beyond any customer service I have received. We were grateful to have a safe driving vehicle during this time and support those who are able to work. Thanks Eric and your crew!! read more

While Nicole was great and tried her best to help me out, the dealerships management and policies are awful and would not recommend purchasing from them at all. Once you have purchased the vehicle they do not care to help you what so ever. They gave me a 27 day temp tag, not even a 30 day one, and would not give me another one even though it took them 3 weeks to get me my title so I could register the car. They then also charged in my contract the titling and inspection fees, but said I would need to go get it done by myself and then they would send me a check for the costs. In purchasing 5 cars in 3 years I've never once been so displeased with a dealerships horrific management and policies. Stay away from this dealership. read more

10/10 experience. I never thought shopping for a car could be so easy and they made it as simple and transparent as it gets. Irfan Niazi was our sales consultant and was very to-the-point and didn't jerk us around like other dealerships we visited. And when we decided to purchase the car, I was able to call back to speak to him directly and put a deposit down so the car was "on hold" until we could get there later that day. We also worked with Eric in the financing department who was not only funny, but very transparent about costs and what he could/couldn't do. I just got my Nissan a few days ago but I can absolutely see being a customer of Bridgewater Nissan's in the future! read more

Update on the service dept since their move from further west on Rt 22 to here years ago. Despite moving to Brooklyn 5y ago, I still come back for service because they're honest, always do the work right, actually ask me before doing work, discuss and explain the findings, and are overall nice friendly helpful people unlike so so many other repair shops, dealerships, and such places. I miss Somerset Nissan (I still call them Bridgewater Nissan despite their alleged name change) being nearby but am glad to be able to return at all. Aside, their waiting room is sunny, airy, high-ceilined, has plentiful speedy WiFi and power outlets to get work or leisure done, stocked with bakery snacks and coffee and drinks, spacious clean restrooms, and has wide large windows to the shop floor so you can see the work being done. Superb facility for superb staff. read more

If you're buying a used car from here I urge you to get it looked at by an independent mechanic first. They either don't inspect their cars well or they withhold info on major issues. It turns out the car I was thinking of buying needed close to $1500 in repairs just to make it safe to drive. All they could say was that the car was priced under value, even though that value assumed good condition, so no major problems. And they'll charge an extra $1000 to use your own financing and then turn around and say they "don't make much of a profit on the cars they sell." They try to come across as a reputable dealer but in reality this place cannot be trusted, I would look elsewhere when shopping for a car. I'm very glad I chose to buy elsewhere! read more

Having sold cars for half a decade I'm a little jaded, if not cynical walking into a dealership. I was taught some devious ways to keep customers in the showroom until they relented and bought a car. Those days seem to be gone with dealerships like Bridgewater Nissan. My fiancee and I were immediately greeted by Ryan. I had dealt via email with Lou (Luigi) earlier in the day. Solely on my word to come in, the car was waiting for us. Ryan is newer to the business but handles himself like a professional. We were given plates and the keys and left to take what turned out to be a longer test drive than we had planned on. (we got caught behind a major collision and were stuck there) When we returned, we liked the car and Ryan worked with us and we quickly agreed on a number. It was after dealership hours at that point, so in good faith, they let us take the car home. One of the managers came over and introduced himself just prior to us leaving. The whole atmosphere is relaxed. It didn't feel like the usual mill with ten slick salesmen doing the exaggerated dance of "let me see what the manager will do" back and forth all night. At 11 am the next day we brought the car back for detailing. While that was performed we stepped into the dreaded finance managers office. Eric had our paperwork ready, explained some options without pushing, and voila! the number we agreed to the night before was the number we were paying. (we did add on a tire warranty as my fiancee has a tendency to park by curb feel.. scraaape.. okay, I'm close enough) Gentlemen.. Ryan especially.. thank you for a phenomenal buying experience! Bravo! PS: Ryan followed up immediately to thank us and ask if all was well and then a few days later plates were in and he again stopped what he was doing to put the plates on and follow up a last time to make sure she was happy. ASK for Ryan.. he is newer to the biz but knows what he is doing. read more

No stars needs to be an option. Negative even. Worst dealership ever. Sold me a lemon. It's only been a year and a half. First six months the AC, catalytic converters, and antennae failed. $1,200 out of pocket after warranty. 8 months later and belts need to be changed $1,100 out of pocket. Now the transmission is dead, along with other parts. $4,900 to repair. Staff is sleazy and lie through their teeth. One even wrote on my service sheet that the antennae was serviced, when I took it to Nissan of Hillside, they told me it was not. Hillside is also trash so I wouldn't recommend them either. Currently looking to file a suit against them. Don't shop for a vehicle here, ever. read more

After years of our family purchasing cars from Bridgewater Nissan, we are going elsewhere. They used to be fair and helpful, but now they are rude, disrespectful, and preposterous with the offers they will entertain. Cars purchased from them are bought back for pennies on the dollar leaving you with a huge gap to pay on top of the new car you're getting ripped off on. Vinny and Erik are particularly rude and could not make the process any more stressful. We went elsewhere and learned how absolutely wonderful and helpful dealerships can be. No wonder we heard them talking about how badly they're doing. read more

This entire process has solidified for me why I have avoided car dealerships my entire life. Let me start by saying, initially I was pleased with how everything went. Then I waited, and waited and waited for my plates and registration to come. This was my first time getting a car lease, and I usually go through the hassle of dealing with the DMV on my own, but I mistakenly thought I could trust the staff at Bridgewater Nissan to take care of this. WRONG. It's now 2 days before my temporary plates are about to expire, I've received nothing in the mail, no contact, no email, so now I begin to get nervous. So I text the dealer I bought the car from, inquiring. He gets back to me and tells me there are "extra DMV fees" to the tune of $249. ??? What? I thought I paid all of those with my initial payment. HAH. So I foolishly thought. So now, I call the sales manager. He tells me they calculated the tax rate at a rate 1.375% lower than NY tax rates. To which I replied, well I know that sales tax in NY is 8.875% I thought you all would know that too. His response: "Well we sell more cars in New Jersey than New York, so.." So? The tax rate is public information, I didn't have to google anything? Ok, so you all miscalculated, and now I have to make another payment? Yep, that's it. That's all you can do. Never mind the hundreds of other dollars that went towards mystery fees etc. etc. etc. The best part? This invoice with the disparity was sent to them on the 12th of January. I don't think I would've found out about it unless I inquired on the 21st. NOPE. read more

Our salesperson Thomas Wienmann was the most professional, organized and kind car salesman we have ever met. We wanted a Nissan Leaf and they were few and far between in NJ. We met with 2 other dealerships that were disappointing for different reasons., but when I spoke with Thomas Wienmann, he stood out. The dealership is literally 51 miles from our home and we have no regrets traveling there. Thomas took his time with us, paid attention to our needs and had answers. This dealership allowed me to put a deposit on the car so we could be assured the day of our appointment we had a car. All steps of the selling process went extremely smoothly. The financial person Eric was delightful. The whole transaction took 90 minutes and we left with our new EV : excited and relaxed and grateful for the whole experience. The only reason why I would not have the car serviced there is due to the distance from our home. read more

I've had my 2013 Altima services here once before. I made my appointment online, got there and was told "Ohhh we don't actually use that, it's just first come first serve". So I spent the next 4 hours waiting for my car to have an oil change. However their website's stupid feature and my ignorance of their process is not the sole reason for the two stars. Knowing their first come, first serve process was actually a benefit for me today. Almost. I called because my wife just got a 2011 Infiniti G37xS and the Infiniti dealership doesn't do walkins on Saturdays. Great, Nissan Bridgewater does take walkins, Nissan makes Infiniti and oil changes are pretty standard. I also want to have my in-cabin air filter changed, which is a Nissan part. I called the service desk and she says sure we can change the oil, but let me transfer you to the parts department to see if they have the filter, great. After being on hold for 10 minutes, the parts guy says "well we don't have an Infiniti catalog". That's legitimate, so I respond "I know it's a Nissan part can you check for me?". His response? "Well that would require me to call an Infiniti dealership and I don't have time for that". WTF you don't have time to make a 2 minute call for a customer, you have to be kidding me. Their service and staff there are unprofessional. And in that statement I'm including my epic half day there for an oil change. I will qualify this review by saying I am a Mechanical Engineer and I worked in automotive manufacturing for over 7 years, specifically on manufacturing for the biggest Japanese OEM. read more

I was not looking forward to having my car serviced, but who is? I work nearby and took a chance on Bridgewater location instead of Keyport near where I live. What a surprise how the repair department took care of me from start to finish. Kathy, using a tablet took down my information, asked what needed to be repaired and even did a walk around. She noticed my car was quite dirty. She said time permitting they would get it washed! Nissan has a courtesy car which enabled me to get to work. Ben, the driver was very friendly and made me feel comfortable on my ride to work. When the repairs were done by end of day, they called me and arranged my pick up. When I arrived, I was able to be helped by Kathy again. She applied a coupon I had that was good at Keyport Nissan. When my car was pulled up, Wow! I absolutely dread car shopping even though I go in prepared with my spreadsheets and thorough research of the numbers that I want. I was prepared for a battle. I got nothing of the sort. My cynical attitude was meant with genuine kindness from salesman Manjit Maker. He was unfazed by my curtness when answering his questions. I had my numbers prepared and the general sales manager Richard Bentley was brought out. We came to an understanding for the deal. I was prepared for those numbers to change with Seth in the finance office. I couldn't believe that the numbers were exactly what was offered. Bridgewater Nissan has great customer service and is 100% better than North Plainfield Nissan, which is where I purchased my now 3 year old Nissan Rogue. By far, their service department runs circles around them. Their express service makes it easy to pop in for an oil change and you get to talk to the tech before the work begins to ensure you have a clear picture of what's going to take place. Don't trust these guys. I went in to review and test drive two certified pre owned vehicles with totally clean car fax reviews. Both models were 2018 but came with no dealership warranty. Vehicles sold as is which is not how certified pre owned are listed or sold. Both cars had a lot of dents and scratches. Noticed one vehicle's rear bumper was separating from the vehicle itself which meant it was hit pretty hard from behind. Bridgewater manager knew of rear bumper dislocation but did not disclose and still asked for top dollar on both cars. There was no disclosure at all of major defects and they continued to list the car for top dollar. Not honest and very deceitful. Reporting to Nissan Corporation. Who needs dishonesty and deceit? Get enough of that from the government. Beware. read more

I recently purchased a Sentra from this dealership. I live in PA and realized the day after my temp tag expired (which I had to call and call for my plates because they never followed up) that my car doesn't have a registration sticker. So I asked, why my car doesn't have an inspection sticker and was told that they can't inspect my car because it needs to be inspected in PA. It's brand new. But I need to make an appointment in PA and spend $65 to inspect my brand new car. This dealership is predatory. When I signed my lease I had to make my first payment. My salesman had someone cosign my car when I didn't want to make my lease that way. They will do anything to make a sale. I will never work with this dealership again and I've made a complaint with Nissan corporate. All the general manager said after I called and left him a less than nice voicemail was that he'd pay for the inspection but he couldn't do anything....except call a PA dealer and ask they give me a sticker! But that would be out of their realm of customer service. Don't do business with this dealership. Save yourself the hassle and research a more reputable dealership to give your business. read more

Sales department Person dealt with: Vincent Lin (pre owned manager) Okay I'll update you guys since they want to private message me from the dealership. According to them the car still needed a new mass air flow sensor which according to them the car still needed a new mass air flow sensor. ( he must have Googled that the correct the name because he has no idea what the sensor is) yes the vehicle had two accidents and that's where the vehicle was valued that 7500 otherwise it would be valued more I never argued that. He said they don't pay their technicians $20 an hour because they don't hire illegal immigrants. Now I know you charge $125 per hour labor rate, but you won't give this to your master technician because they will tell you who to go kick rocks. This vehicle would have been looked by a C who gets paid about 20 an hour. Let me know if I'm wrong also let me know if any vehicle that is not factory certified is going to get name brand tires, no you're going to put some cheap off brand tires and call it a day. Then you want to ask me why would anybody put a cone air filter in a Murano if it's not a sports car. Because I can and I wanted to, meanwhile you're still worried that the car needed a mass air flow sensor when the car had never thrown a code in its lifetime and it was running properly. Would you like me to get a printout of the service history and or the codes that he has thrown in its lifetime? Look I know a lot of people don't know much about cars and you're trying to make me look like one but I know how this works, so continue messaging customers behind reviews that take you off and see how that works for you. My family and I went to go trade in our 2010 Nissan Murano SL. Everyone else we talked to before Vincent was extremely nice and helpful. However when we got to Vincent everything changed as he pretended to be a technician and proceeded to point out every little thing he could negatively about our vehicle, even making names up for names of sensors that he has no idea about. Long story short our cars value decreased by about $2,500, from him wanting to charge us for bald tires alignment and $400 used car inspection which only costs them one hour and only pays the technician about $20. As you can see in the pictures I provided he wanted to over charges for everything that was wrong with the vehicle even though it is a 2010 with 96000 miles on it. Although he said that he didn't like any aftermarket stuff on the vehicle because it lowered the price on his end he never mentioned the aftermarket HIDs I have in the vehicle which I know increase the value on his end but that's okay he also tried to explain to me that the car needed a new air map sensor even though the vehicle has never thrown a check engine light and the sensor is OEM. The only thing that original on the vehicle was a cone air filter but he based all his observations on that and came back to tell me that all my tires were below 3/32 when on his pictures they were between four and five and to my knowledge that's their problem after they buy it. We got offered $5,000 for our vehicle and the next day we went to Linden Volkswagen where we were treated extremely good and we got paid $7,000 for our vehicle. read more

Awesome buying experience. In a industry that have seem to have forgotten about customer appreciation and customer service it was a relief to walk into Bridgewater Nissan and see that they have not. First received follow up call from Leo (internet mgr) who even called twice due to me running late. Then once I got there I felt like I was buying a GTR and not the 2012 Maxima that I purchased.
