I only know about their shoddy service. My Ford was towed there because it broke down 5 miles from their dealership. After charging me $500 in labor alone, my "fixed" vehicle broke down the same day. Towed it back. This time they said it was something else. Cost me another $1600. They told me it would be fixed 6 days later. On the 7th day i left 2 messages, no return call. On 8th day, called again. No return call. On 9th day, someone answered. "The wrong part came in" whoops! 3 days later I finally got my car. Zero apology. Zero attempt at making things right. Whatever you do, never ever take your Ford here for servicing. It's an incompetent clown show and I'm being kind. I give them 1 star because I'm not allowed to rank them lower. read more

Fullerton now PERFORMANCE FORD - bought two cars from this dealership (while still fullerton) in the last six years and have used them for service since. First visit since its PERFORMANCE and have had the worst experience EVER. Car was there 9 days total for breaks and a check engine light. After a week, it was finally diagnosed. Estimate given over the phone was $1,400. Car done two days later, they call and say it was more than the estimate. How much more you ask? The total came to $1,800!! Was informed it was more and closer to 2k but they "gave me a break" and didn't realize until the write up that it was going to be that much more!?!?! Go to pick up the car arriving 40 minutes before closing time and waited a half an hour to pay and get the keys to the car. They are scammers and liars. We will never go back. The most unprofessional dealership I have ever dealt with! The lack of customer service is astounding. read more

Typical car dealership. Prices and fees are very high. But if you bargain and show other places' prices, they may be willing to match them. The biggest problem right now is that I am without proper license plates, while the temp plate is about to expire and I have absolutely no information when I will get the paperwork. Nothing. "It'll get to you when it will get to you". If you are in that situation, which will definitely happen because of some clerical error, failure to file on time, etc.... then best of luck to you! Fullerton is dishonest. I went fora $95.95 oil change with coupon and $230 diagnostic that would apply towards repairs. The result a bad purge valve. Replacing one takes less than a hour. The bill was $731, 4.5 hours of labor at $505. Fernando Santos jr. said if I use the $50 off coupon it would cost more because he lied and said he gave me $100 break. read more

I took my Fiat in for repair yesterday. Giancarlo handled my appointment and did a great job. He explained exactly what needed to be done and what the cost would be. Once the repair was completed, an issue came up when trying to get the bill paid due to several parties being involved. Instead of Fullerton telling me it's your problem, Doreen made a call on my behalf, got the issue resolved and I was on my way. That was above and beyond customer service! BEWARE! Was sold a factory brand new 2024 $74,000 LEMON and the dealer is giving me the "too bad" treatment. Literally as I was driving my new purchase off the lot I tried making a phone call and realized the entire audio system doesn't work. Phone, radio, nav, etc no audio. Brought it in the next day figuring it was a easy software thing, oh no! 3 days later my new vehicle is in thousands of pieces, no idea how to fix and I'm met with disregard and they won't take a truck with one mile driven back or swap it. Miles Mayo was very patient and made time for me in purchasing and committing to my Fastback Mustang 2.3L. I knew what I wanted which helped speed up the process. I was happy with Fullerton Fords' inventory of manual transmission 6-speeds. They made the process painless as I had other dealers to compare. The trade-in went smooth and I was made to feel that I got a good deal. In the end, after visiting numerous Ford dealers in both Bergen and Ocean counties, and feeling disenchanted with the kind of low-energy enthusiasm they expressed once they found out I was only looking for a standard transmission Mustang, Fullerton Ford was a breath of fresh air. Miles was not pushy and neither was Jason (the Finance Guy). The staff at here is amazing!!! We have a daughter in college near there and we are back in Minnesota. She drove the car in and was helped right away. They investigated the problem and had a fix. Didn't feel like they were overselling a college kid. They gave her a ride back to campus. They picked her up a few days later when it was done and she drove it away. Definitely appreciate how much they helped out my kid when I'm a few thousand miles away. Having a place that can get her car fixed and back on the road when we are so far away is huge!!!! I think the most telling thing about a business isn't how they do things right, it's how the fix things when they go wrong. And Fullerton did that very well. I went in one day to turn in a lease and get a new car. Long story short, they made it very easy to get what I wanted and gave me a great price. When I went back to pick up the car, it turns out that there was a misunderstanding about who would cover the remaining payments on my lease. I'm not sure who was at fault and it doesn't really matter. The manager took care of it and went out of his way to make sure that I was satisfied with the resolution. Recommend! read more

My sales associate, Jordan, made my purchase of a new Ford EcoSport Crossover SUV, the best and fastest experience ever! No 3-6 hour wait, no back and forth between me, Jordan, sales manager, or finance, and no mountain of paperwork to navigate through. Paperwork was quick and seamless, only one visit for him to the sales manager was needed for calculations/contract, receipt from cashier was fast, and the overall atmosphere was friendly and professional, but focused on the customer. My visit to Fullerton Ford only involved signing three documents, waiting for the SUV to be pulled from inventory, paying the cashier, and took only a whopping 20 minutes altogether!!! Very disappointed in the service we received from Fullerton recently. After over a week and over $2000 they released the car with the exact same issue, which was unsafe to brake & stop. Took the car in the next morning, very rude customer service rep, only to have them realize the car was not fixed for the problem we brought it in for. Had to pay an additional $1000 for a total of over $3000. They released an unsafe car to us. We will never use Fullerton again, either for service or for purchasing a new vehicle. read more

I have had Fullerton Ford maintain my vehicles from years prior to 1985. I presently have two vehicles (2005 & 2007) which are in amazing condition due to their proper maintenance. Montana, my Service Mgr. was extremely helpful with the latest update to my vehicle (new tires, reg. mtce.). She takes time to explain and follow-up and makes it a pleasure to do business with Fullerton. I will continue to have them maintain my vehicles. Well where do I start. I purchased a certified pre owned vehicle from Fullerton in 2014. Purchase was great, got the extended warranty for peace of mind. I called with a repair June 15th, was told there would be no way my vehicle could be seen before July 5th. I asked if I could drop my vehicle off anyway and Gina assured me that it wouldn't matter because there was not even enough time for a diagnosis for 3 weeks! I asked if there was a way I could get a vehicle loaned to me, as my vehicle was still under warranty and I had to get to work. Was told "there's a waitlist for loaners" and "I'd be better off making other arrangements" I payed to have my paperweight towed to them. A week later I get told my vehicle has been diagnosed, it needs a new transmission. There's no warranty and would I like to pay the $6500? Fullerton sounded shocked when I informed them that I had the original paperwork, had already confirmed my coverage with the warranty company, and that they need to check again. Unsurprisingly they found my warranty paperwork less than 2 hours later. Ok they put in the claim. A week later I get a call back "Warranty company wants to see your maintenance records, they need to know if you completed a transmission fluid flush at 50,0000 miles." I had to send them a copy of the owners manual. 2014 Ford Escapes do not require a transmission fluid flush until 150,000 miles, my vehicle has 70,000 miles. Why am I having to tell a Ford dealer this? A few days later, "Ok your claim is approved but the warranty company will only authorize most of the cost, How would you like to cover the remaining $475?" Excuse me? My warranty covers all parts and labor. It has a $100 deductible. It does not have a "If the warranty company and dealer can't agree on a repair price, the customer gets the shaft" clause. Shame on Fullerton for even thinking that was appropriate. I paid $2000 for this warranty, I didn't realize it was worth so little. I call the warranty company, they're very helpful and explain that additional funds can be authorized as long as the dealer can justify the increase. I inform Fullerton of this. Finally the work can begin. It is at this point I am finally offered a loaner vehicle. August 26th, 41 days after my initial call, my vehicle is finally repaired. The timeline is one thing given supply chain and labor issues affecting the entire planet, but if I had to briefly describe the process I'd say "I paid $2000 extra on top of the $24,000 price for this lemon, and when it came time to help me out my dealer decided to rake me over the coals instead of honoring our agreement." The inability to locate my warranty, the fact I couldn't get a loaner vehicle, that I was forced to research and negotiate on behalf of the dealer I gave $26,000 to, and the attempted shakedown for the difference in approved cost are 4 things that will stand out in my mind every time I hear the name Fullerton. Go elsewhere unless you want to be taken advantage of at every turn, the Fullerton family of dealers give greasy used car salesmen a bad name. read more

I went to Fullerton Ford to see and test drive the Mustang Mach E. It is in limited supply like other vehicles due to the supply chain issues. I met with Miles and he was transparent and friendly. He said that they were not going to use this short-term supply chain issues to gouge customers. They will continue to build long term relationships with their customers. This was music to my ears. I test drive the Mach E and loved the responsiveness of the electric drive. They didn't have the color/model in stock that I wanted but if they did I would be pleased to buy from them. read more

John Caruso is hands down the best sales guy there. About 3 years ago, we went in looking (at that time) at the Explorer. When we walked in, other sales men just looked at us, but John was the only one to approach us. Fast forward to 2021 and 3 cars later, John is the guy to go to. I leased my vehicle in 2018 and it was up this year. I absolutely loved my Explorer, but I would have changed a few things about it. I was going back and forth whether or not to buy it out or not, but again it didn't have everything exactly I wanted. We ultimately decided to custom order my new vehicle that way I got everything I ever wanted. I ended up ordering my dream Explorer from John. We ordered it back in early June, and I picked it up 2 days ago.. it came in a whole month earlier than expected! John did a fantastic job following up throughout the whole process, keeping me updated and what not. I ended up buying my car this time around. I'm so in love with my new Ford Explorer ST that I already put front window tints on her! Trust me, John is the guy to go to! You will not be disappointed. He does NOT pressure you at ALL to close a deal like some sales people do. Back in 2018, he actually suggested going home and doing more research to see the lowest price on the car so he could bring it back to his manager so we can close a deal. True genuine person. I had a wonderful experience buying a car from this dealership. I had found a car on auto trader at a Liccardi ford dealer , requested more information and went to go see the car only to find out it wasn't priced correctly at liccardi. The staff was extremely rude with the manager even saying to me "what do you want from us". I had been In Contact with Fullerton ford as well and the salesman Michael S was able to find the EXACT car on their lot AND was able to get the car to the monthly payment I was looking to pay. On top of that, the circumstances are not ideal with the virus and buying a car, so Michael was not able to show me everything in the car and all the features how they work. He has really gone above and beyond to reach out to make sure everything is still ok even after the sale!!! Never had that type of service before while buying a car and I definitely appreciate it and love the fact they do not leave you hanging after you made your purchase. This is my first ford and if everything goes well I will definitely be back in the future for another. My car was driving sluggishly so I took it in to be checked. Dropped off on Sunday evening and it took until Thursday for me to get a diagnosis. Then was called on Friday afternoon with the cost of repair. I had a $40 part and $900 of labor. I had a bad celanoid. However my electric running board and hatch were not working. Im done. I liked Fullerton because of my schedule since its hard to make appointments for fast oil changes. I went there this morning and was told no drop ins anymore and appointments only. I took the morning off to do this. It would have been nice to send an email or text to all consistent customers and let them know. I made an appointment for Monday and asked if they could look at my USB port and the electrical plug since they arent working. They told me I need a whole separate appointment for that and I cant wait and need to drop off. Again with my schedule, I cant do that. Went for a oil change. The staff was very friendly Like all oil changes I always ask for tire rotation. When the VECHILE was done the mechanic who did the maintenance on my VECHILE pointed out because the four tires we're so new rotation wasn't required. It was true the tires were only two months old. This dealership is terrible. They disappoint me at every visit. As a busy mom who works full time, when you need service you just want to drop off your car and go. Not wait 20+ minutes for a service advisor to meet with you so you can drop off your car. Or be told they no longer accept appointments for oil changes, then show up for one and be told it will be 2+ hours. In addition, it's next to impossible to get a loaner car when you have to leave your car for extended periods. My husband's last 2 cars are Acuras from Bill Vince. They are amazing! My next car will be an Acura. Addendum: they had my car ALL DAY and didn't even start work on it until after 2. Couldn't even figure out what is wrong so now I have to bring it back again for an entire day. Just another terrible experience. Went for an oil change, was told it was 1- 1 1/2 hrs (I called ahead) and I get there and they say they can't guarantee it will be done in 1 1/2 hrs and since I have to pick up my daughter from school, I have to go back another time. I love Fullerton ford. I've had my car serviced there a few times and the staff has been so accommodating and fair. Fred is amazing. He went out of his way to look for a cheaper part at a nearby junkyard. He always remains calm even when I was frustrated that my car was having issues. He is more than happy to explain. They even called Enterprise for me to come give me a rental car (which is covered under my warranty). Also, we just bought a car from Mike at Fullerton Ford. He is one of the very few sales people that I enjoyed working with. He is honest and not too pushy, which made me want to buy from him vs any place else. Fullerton ford is not the closest Ford dealer to me, but after dealing with the closer ones, I would much rather drive the distance to Fullerton. It is well worth it every time. read more

Only then did she say that their computer systems went down.BS! WTF did you not let me know that my car wasn't able to get fixed? With that said if you are pressed for time or need a loaner car to get back to work while they work on your car don't let these folks know. I went with my mom to get her a new car after 16 years of driving the same car. I did some research and wanted to look at two Ford models. We hadn't planned on buying the same day. We worked with Miles from beginning to end, and he was amazing to us. We didn't want to deal with a typical pushy salesman, and Miles was perfect! He was really patient with us, personable, and was not expecting to make a deal the same day unless we really wanted to. We felt like he cared and was very considerate. My mom ended up falling in love with a 2018 Edge and we bought it that day - which I don't believe would have happened if our experience wasn't so pleasant. So far, we are very satisfied customers.
