I recently hired Ardmore Windows and Doors to replace 18 windows in my home, and while the sales process started off strong, the rest of the experience was incredibly disappointing. To begin with, the sales representative was punctual, knowledgeable, and thorough. He clearly explained all the window options and helped us choose the style we wanted. Unfortunately, that is where the professionalism ended. One of the most alarming issues occurred during installation: a window was either dropped or thrown from the second floor onto my front lawn, where it shattered. The crew made no attempt to clean it up. I only discovered the shards the next day while outside barefoot with my toddler. I spent hours picking up tiny pieces of glass myself. When I raised this with the project manager, he didn't apologize or show any concern--he simply offered $100 off for my "time." Beyond that, the overall project management and execution were riddled with issues. I had to review the order sheet at least ten times because the company repeatedly made mistakes--wrong quantities, wrong styles, wrong hardware. Even after all of that, the final order was still incorrect. I requested that the new windows match the existing styles (e.g., 6 over 1, 8 over 1), yet this was ignored, and we only realized the error during installation when it was too late to correct. They also installed two top sashes in one window and acted as if this was normal. Their explanation was that "owners ask for ridiculous things sometimes," so they didn't question it. This was the only window of the 18 installed incorrectly, yet I was the one who had to push to have it acknowledged. The hardware situation was equally unprofessional. They installed mismatched pieces--gold locks with nickel lifts--because the hardware we selected was "out of stock," but they never told us. When we asked for replacements, they simply handed me a catalog and told me to choose new ones, offering no guidance, even though only one alternative actually worked with the holes they had already drilled. Another major issue involved the window screens. I requested screens for all windows in the original estimate, and this was clearly documented. Despite that, no screens were installed. Their excuse was that "homeowners don't often want to open their windows." After the mistake was pointed out, they installed makeshift screens that don't fit properly and are extremely difficult to remove and replace--clearly not the correct screens for the windows we purchased. The job, which was supposed to take a few days, dragged on for weeks due to unfinished work, installation errors, and repeated reorders caused by their own mistakes. Some of the work is still unfinished. I would not recommend Ardmore Windows and Doors to anyone. Unless you want to act as your own project manager, clean up after the crew, and still end up with results that don't match what you paid tens of thousands of dollars for, look elsewhere. read more

Be aware, Needed window repair Right off the bat $50 deposit. You send pics for quote. They email you the estimate, the range is $225 to $300 They come take a look mysteriously now original quote increases by $100. surprise!! You work around them. Waited 2 wk's for part and installation. Get call day before the truck broke down, really?? Had to reschedule for the following week. Be aware, If that time comes and you have an emergency, try to reschedule, the fee is $250 for their inconvenience. Again, you work around them. read more

I normally do not leave reviews, however I felt obligated to warn others about this company. Beware of their predatory business tactics - quoting repairs on two of my windows for $800 then completing a minor fix on one of them while telling me that the other cannot be fixed. This should have been found at the estimate, not after the deposit was paid; $375 for a $200 fix. As a military service member, I have been away on orders and had my girlfriend schedule this repair - unfortunately it seems as though they looked to take advantage of this situation. Their supervisor, Andrii, contacted me after sending multiple emails to their support email only to quote their "note" on the estimate which says "Customer agree to pay $375 minimum order to inspect sliding window and attempt to repair it, even if window will not close properly and problem is not resolved." If they had attempted to repair the window, there would be no issue, but telling me that they could not repair it due to water damage should have been found during the original estimate. They do not seem to be registered with the BBB - I wonder why. The level of personal and company pride displayed by the company is blatantly lacking. Any honest company would inspect the repairs needed during the estimate, not charge a $375 deposit for a $200 repair. read more

We've used Ardmor 3 times, and are very happy with results. The guys repaired/saved some old custom wooden windows as well as doing a new glass paneled sliding door replacement. Every appointment was kept, with reminders sent the day before. Quote for scope of the project was clearly stated and I was sent the invoice with various forms of payment accepted, including online payment which was very convenient. Their team did the work exactly as promised and on time. Prices were very reasonable and they were one of the only companies I spoke to whom also were willing to do window repairs as well, most others ONLY did full window replacement. I needed a window glass repair and I called 2 local places in town. After they measuring they said they would send quote and never did. I called for 3 months and after I finally got a quote it was $150 more than Ardmor. By the time they finally got back to me, Ardmor came, measured and repaired window and within 2 weeks of my initial call! Service great, workers clean and courteous, and job completed as expected.
