Lucas answered while on an existing job. He was very honest saying he can't drop by to make an assessment. Knowing the importance of the situation, he said he'll have his father drop by to take a look. The father (was it Joe?) came by as promised and saw that the previous roofer didn't put flashing around a portion of the chimney. He gave a couple of possible fixes and I picked the more expensive one. He gave me a break on price if i went with the more expensive fix which i appreciated. Before showing up for the work due to budgeting issues i changed to the lower price solution. He didn't have any problems with this change. He and his other son (not Lucas) came on the day as promised. The funny thing was I didn't know they were there until i heard banging outside! They ripped some of the old roof tiles, installed new flashing and overlay them with some leftover tiles I had laying around. They also caulked around other parts of the chimney. They cleaned up their mess. There were aome storms afterwards and no leak! Thx to Lucas for knowing the importance of the problem and having your father and brother fit me into their schedule. And thx to father and son (was it Joe and Ezekiel?!) for fixing the leak! I would definitely consider them to put in a new roof when the time comes!

This review is the latter situation. More Core did my roof, and some other items. These were done last year. Darren led the team and it was completed. There were some problems, minor things but they were handled immediately and without complaint from them. Fast forward to Sunday, March 6, 2016. I look out a window and notice the part of the roof that overhangs my front door doesn't look right. I take pictures and email them Sunday afternoon. About 7:45 that same Sunday night Darren calls me and tells me he will come out this week. This week turned out to be the next day, Monday March 7. He took a look and got right to work. No trying to get out of it, no excuses he got right to work. I couldn't get a good look last night, but this morning it looks perfect. Now some people may say, "Well that is what they were supposed to do". Let me tell you, in my 57 years this very rarely happened. Add to this that this job was done and paid for months ago. What could I have done? Write letters, emails, call the BBB? Yes I could have and I have in the past when much larger companies failed to live up to their products and warranty. I did nothing like that. It was an email, a call back, and done. I am an accountant and not particularly handy especially doing major home repairs, so I am always wary of contractors. We have all heard of the stories. But More Core responded to me quickly and professionally. I fully recommend them for not only the work but for how the deal with people and problems. Sharone Tall, the owner, treated me with outstanding professionalism; he & his team did not cut corners & even replaced some wet insulation as a favor. They came within a week of singing the contract despite roving August storms that can interrupt a roofer's life & they finished in ONE day with A LOT of men & some pretty interesting machinery-- bringing material directly to the roof with a telescoping delivery truck parked all the way in the street, despite low utility lines. I thought the magnetic nail grabber on wheels was a neat tool as well; a man walked around the whole lawn with that! I had a roof done once in Jersey City, cost me $22,000, maybe twelve years ago? Like last summer I also got ripped off by a roofer the job prior that one. I liken getting a new roof to the quadruple bi-pass of home ownership, NOT FUN. Another company came to do temporary repairs and said it is leaking due to "poor workmanship". He said there are nails in the wrong places including seams. The nails are now popping up so badly that I have to get it torn off plywood replaced. That should not be the case. It's about the long term and it's now costing money to undo bad work.
