Reese & Sons Roofing & Repair

Reese Roofing was an absolute pleasure to work with. From beginning to end, the team was responsive…read morevia email, text, and Yelp. They patiently answered all my questions, and was finally able to resolve and advise on several ongoing issues with my roof. Their pricing is very fair and they were ready to complete the work on time, as expected, especially on a short turnaround. I would highly recommend Reese to anyone who needs assistance with roofing issues.

Sorry for the late post. This work was done in 2024…read more Had a leak coming into the basement around the chimney area. Called Reese & Sons because of their high rating and positive reviews. Lucas answered while on an existing job. He was very honest saying he can't drop by to make an assessment. Knowing the importance of the situation, he said he'll have his father drop by to take a look. The father (was it Joe?) came by as promised and saw that the previous roofer didn't put flashing around a portion of the chimney. He gave a couple of possible fixes and I picked the more expensive one. He gave me a break on price if i went with the more expensive fix which i appreciated. Before showing up for the work due to budgeting issues i changed to the lower price solution. He didn't have any problems with this change. He and his other son (not Lucas) came on the day as promised. The funny thing was I didn't know they were there until i heard banging outside! They ripped some of the old roof tiles, installed new flashing and overlay them with some leftover tiles I had laying around. They also caulked around other parts of the chimney. They cleaned up their mess. There were aome storms afterwards and no leak! Thx to Lucas for knowing the importance of the problem and having your father and brother fit me into their schedule. And thx to father and son (was it Joe and Ezekiel?!) for fixing the leak! I would definitely consider them to put in a new roof when the time comes!

Last summer I had the unfortunate experience to know first hand of what bad roofing contractors act like. This summer I went about it the right way: I logged on to Middletown's Facebook page & asked the court of public opinion about recommendations for a roofing company; based on what I read I went with Green Apple Roofing in Fairhaven, NJ. Sharone Tall, the owner, treated me with outstanding professionalism; he & his team did not cut corners & even replaced some wet insulation as a favor. They came within a week of singing the contract despite roving August storms that can interrupt a roofer's life & they finished in ONE day with A LOT of men & some pretty interesting machinery-- bringing material directly to the roof with a telescoping delivery truck parked all the way in the street, despite low utility lines. I thought the magnetic nail grabber on wheels was a neat tool as well; a man walked around the whole lawn with that! I had a roof done once in Jersey City, cost me $22,000, maybe twelve years ago? Like last summer I also got ripped off by a roofer the job prior that one. I liken getting a new roof to the quadruple bi-pass of home ownership, NOT FUN. Green Apple did my roof for 4-figures & most amazingly removed my trepidation of the roofing trade! Thank you Middletown Facebook users!!! Red flags for a BAD roofing company: 2 men only on the job, one of 'em out of shape; no logo on their lone vehicle, sign in April but show in June-- & ask YOU to go to the store in the midst of the job for supplies!! They also don't leave a lawn sign to proudly advertise their work. That was the "team" I foolishly hired last summer. Green Apple is their polar opposite! Green Apple is a homeowner's delight. Yes, I waited 'till it rained before writing this.

The job was completed in one day. Our yard was spotless when the crew left.. All this and quality and value was provided. I do not think a customer could ask for more from a contractor. I would Pick "Green Apple" roofing eany day!

I am extremely disappointed with the way my skylight installation was handled…read more Before choosing your company, I had estimates from two roofing companies, and at this point I regret not choosing the other contractor. Communication throughout this process has been poor, and what concerns me most is that the skylight installation was left visibly unfinished on the interior of my home. The inside around the skylight was left without proper finishing, trim, or whatever interior work is necessary to give it a completed and professional appearance. As it currently stands, it looks unfinished and frankly terrible. What is also upsetting is that no one followed up with me after the installation to make sure the work was completed properly or that I was satisfied. Payment was taken, the crew left, and I have heard nothing since. From a homeowner's perspective, it feels as though the company collected my money and moved on without ensuring the job was actually finished. I am a single woman managing my home on my own, and I hired a professional roofing company because I expected to be able to rely on your expertise and workmanship. Instead, I feel taken advantage of and left with an installation that does not look complete. I am asking that someone contact me promptly, come out to inspect the skylight installation, and explain what should have been done to properly finish the interior around the skylight. I expect the installation to be completed to a professional standard and do not believe I should be left responsible for correcting unfinished work after paying your company for the project. Please let me know how you intend to resolve this.
