Review of Walmart Tire & Lube Center at 157th & Metcalf, Overland Park, KS…read more Consistently Exceptional Service Having visited the Walmart Tire Center at 157th and Metcalf several times for oil changes and battery service, I am continually impressed by the team's outstanding professionalism and warmth. Each visit, I've encountered different staff members, yet all have been consistently competent, kind, friendly, and helpful. This speaks volumes about their work environment and training, which appears to be truly exceptional. Surpassing Expectations in the Automotive Industry In today's automotive world, encountering such genuine customer care is a rarity--especially at a large, national chain. I initially chose Walmart for its competitive pricing; the tire prices I found online were unmatched anywhere else. However, I stayed--and keep returning--because of the extraordinary customer experience. Unlike some other shops, where you feel pushed toward unnecessary services (and come to expect bad news about your car), Walmart's team is honest and straightforward. I've never felt pressured, and they focus on real rather than invented problems. Amenities and Convenience A huge plus at this location is the ability to shop while your car is serviced. No need to waste time in a cramped waiting area or flip through outdated magazines--Walmart lets you get errands done or browse, making the experience not only efficient but enjoyable. Renewed Loyalty to Walmart I hadn't visited Walmart much in recent years, but this tire and lube department has truly won me over. The confidence, kindness, and competence of these employees has made me a huge Walmart fan once again. I now find myself hoping for reasons to visit their auto department, just to experience the stellar service. Thank you to the entire team for consistently going above and beyond! If I could, I'd give more than five stars.

The pizza guy gave us some good intel on what to get and not get, and our pies were made perfectly and brought out hot to us. The bakery has a great selection of freshly made cookies, cakes and other fun items and they were all reasonably priced. I had a peanut butter explosion and the other ladies had some fun frosted sugar cookies. For me the cookies were too crumbly but they loved them. The reason for 3 stars was lack of customer service. I had to go to the front to get cups for soft drinks. The woman I approached didn't say 1 word to me when I told her what I needed. She just walked away to a register where she rang in my purchase. It would have been nice had she said, "follow me," or "I can help you with that." But i figured out what she was doing and paid at the register and then told her I had a problem. She said, "what?" with an irritated tone. I told her I needed the cups I had just paid for. Again, she walked away from me, apparently expecting me to follow her, and I did. Then she asked another employee to hand me the cups. The other woman did that and I thanked her. The cashier who rang up our few groceries was pleasant and the bagger actually joked with me, so at least I had that as I was leaving.

It loses two because the front $1-$5 items are always a mess and picked over. The dressing room is usually a mess as well with piles of clothes. They also have the self check out closed a lot of the time and long lines because of it! Super frustrating to have one lane open and a line of 6 people waiting. You can do better target.

You can't blame one person or department, and the people who work there are kind, but it's always a Target I dread going to. The aisles are a mess, things are often out of stock or so scattered you can't find them, and the parking lot is full of carts piled around the corrals. There are usually only two registers open, which means long lines every time. The pickup situation is the worst of all. I went today at 2 p.m., a time that shouldn't be busy, and waited twenty-five minutes before giving up. Even on a normal day, the wait is usually ten minutes or more. It's miserable. Even the Starbucks is a mess. Slow, closed randomly, a handful of times I've been able to hear employees talking in the back. I'll wait a few minutes and finally walk into their back room to ask for help. I don't know if it's poor management or if they've been understaffed for years, but it's easily the worst Target I've ever been in.

But I have always had a long wait for both scheduled vaccinations and prescription pick up. The photo area is never staffed so you will need to wait for someone at the front to come and get your order. I utilize the Walgreens pharmacy at this location and have had wonderful service . However this…read morereview is NOT for the pharmacy , this is for the retail checkout . 9/3/2022 I visited Walgreens to purchase infant formula . As we all know there is a shortage and I happened to come across the formula my baby is able to tolerate . He breastfeeds and is sick so I wanted to have formula as a result of him not being able to nurse effectively during illness. The line was extremely long and there were two cashiers . When I get to the register the cashier is a middle aged gentleman and he was clearly panicked and flustered . He had one customer standing to the side of the line waiting for his further assistance and when I gave him coupons for my Similac formula he said "I don't know how to process these." So I said "oh well is there anyone you can ask for help or someone you can call to get clarification ?" He said "nope . There are only two of us here ". I replied ," Is there another manager on call that could answer a question for you over the phone or another store you can call ?" His reply : "no " . So I said " well on the coupon it has instructions for the retailer , let's try those ." The cashier points his finger in my face and says " easy there !" I replied in the most calm manner "sir , please don't tell me "easy there" that's unprofessional and not necessary . I'm only asking you to do your job and help me purchase this formula ." He then points to the door and says "GET OUT! I won't be spoken to this way !" The other customer that was waiting to the side became wide eyed and said "well maybe the other cashier can help her..." I then told the cashier " sir I'm not going to leave the store. You can't tell a customer to leave simply because you're frustrated with your long line and you don't know how to process a coupon ." The cashier replies "well go over there maybe he can do it ..." he then yells over to the other cashier across from him (who was a newer employee come to find out ) and he says "I don't know how to do it maybe you can ..." So I then go over to this new cashier who was kind but also very much clueless . I ended up leaving the store without the formula and proceeded to contact Walgreens corporate office . It has been almost two weeks with no response or follow up form this store. I called corporate again today and they are going to escalate the complaint . I refuse to let this go because it was a very dehumanizing , derogatory and unprofessional experience that did not need to occur .
