I had a horrible experience earlier this afternoon at the Dollar Tree on State Avenue in KCK. The…read moreissue was with the way the new manager was speaking to two new employees. He told them that you have to be thick skinned to work here because of the horrible customers, he used the "F" word rhyming with duck three times in his conversation. I could not believe my ears at what I was hearing.....talk about unprofessional, way out of line and insulting to me as a customer. The shelves are very poorly stocked, the store is a total mess, dirty and the carpet is filthy. When I got up to the line I was the seventh (7th) person in line.. all while the manager and two other employees were in sights view "chatting"... Finally the lady cashier requested assistance over the PA system. Incredibly upset, disappointed and right down mad.

The selection is probably better here than other locations. It was busier than other locations I have been to and the only negative is that they were stocking the store and it was difficult to move through the aisles because it seemed like almost every aisle had boxes at the end of them. But they did have a better selection of products than other locations I've been to.

Cashier said the sign on the door said closed until 3:00. Tons of people were coming up but they didn't want anyone's business. I just drove down the street and gave my business to Dollar General. I won't be back to this store again. Rude, slow employees. Pay your employees better and you will get a better quality of employees.

It was obvious they had gotten shipments in that needed to be put away. But the general store was in major disarray anyways. This store does have a good selection of items and I always get my cards and gift bags here. The reason I even give it a three star today is that the service is always nice and friendly. Most items are $1.50 now and there are other items that are three dollars and five dollars. When the shelves are stocked there are boxes around, which cannot be avoided. Complaining about the boxes and at the same time complaining aboud the poorly stocked shelves does not make any sense. Some of this might be attributed to the severe staffing shortages everywhere, and product not being available. However, I can't remember a time when this store wasn't completely disheveled.
