The problem comes if I slow down to get my app up on my phone, or if I'm slow to get my payment card out of my wallet. The self check out supervisor will be 2 inches from me asking all sorts of irrelevant questions. I'm fine with them stating one time: welcome to Hy-Vee, let me know if I can help! But the micromanaging needs to be curbed. Are you worried about me ringing up oranges instead of apples! Or are just fully assuming that I'm stealing from you? I get it! Times are hard, and you are watching the bottom line, but please understand that we as customers are not walking in to your store for the purpose of stealing! We are people just like you! Isadora specifically is very compassionate and empathetic I have noticed not only with my encounters with her but her encounters with other people. Anthony was especially supportive and empathetic through the renovation process. Many of the natural grocers independence employees have been supportive but there are so many great moments I have had in this store with my kids and I will continue to return.
