I had heard about this place from a friend. Downloaded the app. Waited patiently for a time to try it out. A little confusing with the signs. Very discombobulated merchandise that is literally thrown all in these bins for cheap prices. It felt almost like dumpster diving. Some things were opened. Good luck finding shoe with matching pairs. Things were broken. Boxes were opened. It was random. Checked out the shelves away from the bins, expecting to be surprised at the bargains. Didn't really see any bargains. I have been an auction bidder with them since they started. Never did i have a major issue until today. Their manager, Paige yelled at me in front of everyone, including my 7 year old granddaughter. Their systems were down to print out my winnings. Another associate showed me on my phone how to find my items. I asked him do I just go get them or do I need the paper like normal? He told me to go get them and when I come back up to give them the invoice number and they would get me checked out. I did this but before I was even out of the aisle when I was done, Paige was yelling at me because I went down "her" aisle in "her" store without a sale print out. I tried to explain to her that another associate told me to do that. She didn't want to hear it. She was very unprofessional and belittling. My granddaughter even asked why that lady was yelling at me. Everytime I tried to explain she just kept interupting and telling me policy. I understand that. I asked her if she would ask the other associate to come up so he could tell her. No she wouldn't do that. I asked if I could speak to her manager, no she said I couldn't and would not give me the information. I have spent thousands at that store and have been doing the auctions since they started. I could understand being treated like I was if I stole something or broke something but I literally did what I was told. She reprimanded me like I did something wrong. I tried to explain and stand up for myself and I was told she was going to blacklist me for it, which she did after I told her to do what she felt she needed to do. I understand policy. I understand the need to follow it. There is a way to treat customers and a way not to, especially when your associate directed them wrong. Reprimanding, yelling and chastising them in front of their family and the entire store is not it. read more

This organization doesn't care if they waste your time. I made an appointment to pick up my items, and when I got there was told it would be an hour. I was on my lunch break, so I had to go back after work. Came back after work, and it was a 20-minute wait. Also, wasn't notified about taxes until paying for the items, because the app leaves that out of the total. This place wastes your time. It was my first time coming here, and will be my last. read more

Pallets are split up and stuff is broken and there is hardly anythkng on the pallets. Places are starting to open ul and take retail rebal business. If you don't know what this place is than You are in for an experience! Make sure you check online for the different days and specials they have. Restocks occur on Saturday and Sunday. They are super busy and chaotic. If you come early be prepared to wait in line out the door. I'd recommend bringing gloves if you are a anti germ type person. read more

I was at It's $5 Claycomo for 4 hours digging for treasures for 4/$5. I found over 100 great finds, and had fun finding them!!

Always a lot too look at. Only downfall is you have to fish through ALOT of empty boxes. But you can all's Sy's manage to find some hidden treasures in their stuff. read more

Went to the It's $5 store in Claycomo this morning. My son and I were excited to go. It was fun looking thru all of the bins to see what we could find. Ended up buying 4 items...a dog collar, an alarm clock, a string of LED lights and a box that had 2 oil diffusers in it. Got home this afternoon and opened everything up and found out that there was no charger in the box with the oil diffusers, and the LED lights won't work. I contacted the store thru FB messenger to ask about exchanging the bad items, but was told no refunds or exchanges. I guess they make their money by selling broken/unusable junk and then they don't stand behind what they sell. I won't be stepping foot in this store again. read more

It's a junk store and it may make ya feel a little low in life but it's fun when you want something to do and not looking for anything in particular. I'm obsessed! It's better than thrift shopping. It's an adventure in bargain bins. It's a treasure hunt! I found a fully functional Amazon smart plug on a 4/$5 Wednesday! $1.25 I spent on it. I restocked my vitamins and my coffee. I replaced my shower curtain and found kitchen doodads I didn't know I needed. There was even stuff for my kids there. And you know what? This is a little PSA announcement for all you northland folks. This store will change the way you think about shopping. I have been shopping at the Belton location since last September and I can say that my family looks forward to hunting every single weekend. We dont consider it shopping. Treasure hunt would be a better term. Each week this store tries to sellout of every thing they have. Items are mixed up in large bins. Some item are worth a lot of money and some are not. Value is in the eye of the hunter. On Sat and Sun every single thing cost $5 including tax. Get ready to change your weekend plans. For those of you who cant make it, the items that remain get cheaper. Mon 2 items for $5. Tues 3 items for $5 Wed. 5 item for $5, and the week wraps up with 10 items for just $5 on Thurs. The store is clean, the staff is friendly, and the deals are unbeatable! The bins are large enough that multiple people can be looking without being crowded. I love that they have shopping carts available. Ours was a very pleasant shopping experience and we were able to score some really cool things for a ridiculously low price! My family and I have been to this store multiple times a week, every week since it opened and have really loved it. That all ended the moment you hired your new manager. This mornings experience was enough to make me never want to return. This morning I witnessed an employee direct a fast track customer (that is someone hand sellected to go in as one of the first 5 in the door) to a bin that had been loaded with the most high dollar items. They then slow rolled the rest of the line in and there wasnt any obvious bargins left. We typically find one or 2 high ticket items to fund the rest of our cart but the way they handled letting people in, while picking winners made for slim pickings. If that isn't bad enough, employees in this shop had always been super cordial in the past and seemed to really enjoy their work and their interactions with the customers, that is gone too. Friendly employees are no more and what's left is akin to being assisted by TSA rejects. If issues described above aren't enough to keep you away new check out policy should be. You now forced to go through a screening process where every single item is unpacked, unboxed and inspected. Where you could formally by a crate of small items (items that come in a crate and are not worth 5 dollars independently)... I have now witnessed multiple instances where that crate is broken into individual items and customer treated as though they were trying to abscond with little bits of literally worthless bits of junk. If that isn't enough this whole pat-down and search for contraband makes checkout lines painfully long and tedious. I had a 6 year old with me that had a full bladder and since harassing their customers is higher priority than maintaining a working restroom one of our party had to leave to find working facilities while waiting in said painfully asinine checkout. What was a fun treasure hunt is now a waste of weekend, it's insulting, and borderline abusive. read more
