We visit Cargo Largo almost every time we are in MO. They have a large selection of items from clothes to electronics to beauty supplies. The items are discounted and most things are really good quality. Last time I was there we got a 25 lb kettlebell for $20, some named brand face cream that was $4, and my husband got some Monster headphones he was really excited about for $40. Unfortunately when we got back to our family's house only one headphone worked. We took it back and I was pleasantly surprised that the return process was seamless. We will continue to go back when we are in town and see what deals we can find. read more

I really want this to be a higher review but there are a few problems. I like Cargo Largo and really enjoy digging around. I think some prices are good but others aren't that great so you have to be ready to spend some time looking. It's just not very organized. Maybe they try but it's not. But when you run across something you really want, that's fun! One huge issue is no dressing rooms. They say you can return but it's about a 40 minute drive for me each way so it would be much better if I could try on before I buy. The last time I was there, I literally got in the corner of the store and tried on everything over my clothes and my partner took a photo so I could get an idea of what it looked like on me even with my clothes underneath. I got paranoid at one point because they have a lot of plain clothed security in there and I was worried they might think I was up to something but I was rather conspicuous so I'd be a really stupid criminal. Lol BUT, I liked everything I tried on so that's a positive for Cargo Largo! I also had an item in my cart with a red sticker on it as a markdown. The item was still about $30 but it rang up for over almost at $50. The guy ringing me up looked it up by the date they received it (May of 2025) and said the price on the ticket was wrong so he called over the manager. At first she told me she wouldn't honor the price on the ticket but then she said she would. I thanked her and I got the idea she really had to go by this date system but that's not cool. If you make an error, you should honor the price. And you've had the item in your store for 5 months so reducing it $15 to sell it isn't crazy. Again, in the end I got it for that price and I appreciate the manager's help, but it was a bit embarrassing having to feel like I'm haggling when the tag clearly stated that price. If it weren't for that incident, the lack of dressing rooms, and the intimidating presence of the security (you can definitely spot them even in plain clothes), I would rate them higher. This is their new location, and wow! It's so nice shopping at this new place, with all the extra square footage that they needed. The way they have organized stuff is pretty good. I would only suggest that they concentrate in organizing the clothing area, and I know people are a bit careless and just throw clothes around, but I believe they could organize by size a bit more. Women's jeans today were seperated by size but some of the sizes were far from the other jeans. I also love how they have $1.40 bread, but it's a hit and miss. I came by here the other day, and they didn't have any, but today they did. Today I attempted to price match an online sale price, and they told me no. It was a price match for Macy's, it was the exact same item. Massive store with great prices and surprisingly very organized. I was expecting a lot of partially damaged items and everything looked to be in great shape. Do NOT be fooled! In my experience, Cargo Largo sells used, non-working junk but advertises it as being new or nearly so. When I actually tried the camera, TV, and stereo receiver at home, none worked and all were missing parts. Ditto for multiple non-electronics products. But Cargo Largo makes you jump through hoops to return fraudulently represented items for a refund. Luckily, I paid via credit card so I was able to force these scammers to effect a refund. but I had to waste several hours to accomplish it. Do yourself a favor and buy new products on sale from legitimate sellers. Make sure that they are factory sealed and always obey the manufacturers' instructions to the letter to avoid problems. This location is much bigger than the previous location, they have an aisle big enough you can walk around and see everything without bumping into other customers. Parking is easy. Customer service is great! They have bread, canned goods, tea and coffee, medical supplies, clothes, toys, office supplies etc with very good prices. Yes, the inventory does rotate but its worth the stop if your looking for discounted goods and close enough to WalMart or Target if you do not find what you are looking for. read more

After much anticipation and hoopla, Cargo Largo opened the doors to a new, and what looked like substantially larger store. At least from the outside. From the size of it you'd think they'd have a mini food court, and a second story just filled with goodies. The only difference was the space between the racks making it easier for patrons to maneuver their carts filled with gifts for the holidays. After all , one needs to shop early and often. The new CL features a larger parking lot, however it would have been nice to have some signs as to where the entrances and exits are, just until we get used to it. It doesn't make sense why you're not allowed to bring your bag (I was wearing a crossbody) in the bidding section of the building. I'm not going to leave my valuables in my car either. If they're worried about weapons, then they should have a metal detector of some sort otherwise a weapon could be brought in through other means. It's funny how many reviews were like "if you like this sort of store". Did you think you were walking into Pottery Barn or Nordstrom? This place delivers on the very thing it advertises itself to be. You go in unsure what to expect and walk out with food items, a $7 jacket that listed for $38 on Amazon to kitchen gadgets and they even have decent deals on garden and patio furniture. The employees at the "bid sale" were not very kind. Also, I have put bid sale in quotations because it was a joke. They expect you to come in and not know what's in the hundreds of boxes and bet on them. They claim it is a silent auction yet you can't see what other people bid and bid higher. The whole point is that you should be able to up the ante. We went for the first time Friday and I couldn't believe the deals I found. I agree with other reviews that it's best to go with a wish list in mind and just see what you can find. I saved $40 on a brand new Hearth + Hand comforter set. I also got 50% off a cuisinart grill accessories set and 13 piece stainless steel kitchen set. Tenderleaf toys are one of my favorite brands and I was excited to see they had a lot of options. The store is large (think warehouse) so I can see how it could be overwhelming, but if you enjoy bargain hunting you probably won't mind. I was a little concerned it would overstimulate my 15 month old but she did well and had a nice nap on the way home. Definitely a good trip all around. read more

However, if you thrive on bargain hunting and somewhat organized chaos then Cargo Largo is for you. I've been shopping at Cargo Largo for about 10 years now. I'm honestly not sure how I found it, but I'm glad I did. It's always an adventure. You never really know what you will find. Sometimes I find nothing, other times I can't fit it all in my car. Their inventory changes daily. I'm pretty sure they buy unclaimed freight, returned merchandise, and overstock from other stores. They sell everything a big box store would and then some. Food, clothing, baby items, toys, books, beauty supplies, furniture, hardware, tools, movies, music, video games, kitchen items, pet supplies, electronics, appliances, decorative items, crafts, office supplies, sporting goods, and pretty much anything else you can imagine. Boxes are dented, packaging is ripped, almost nothing is perfect, but the prices reflect these flaws. I've walked out with amazing deals on small kitchen appliances. Sure, the box was a disaster, but them item was still perfect! You just have to carefully check over the item you are about to purchase. Also, know your prices. Usually they are lower than a big box store or Amazon, but sometimes they aren't. They have some surprising high end merchandise sometimes. Clothing, furniture, and baby items tend to hold the most "I can't believe they have this!!" items. I had been lusting after a carseat that was way out of our price range. It turned up at Cargo Largo for half off what the other baby stores had it for. Definitely one of my favorite finds. You need patience to shop at Cargo Largo. It will never be a quick trip. Allow yourself time to wander the aisles. You really have to search to make sure you don't miss anything. The store is organized into categories, but each section is not in neat and tidy rows like you would find at Target. The store stays busy. Between the busy aisles, giant parking lot, and sometimes long checkout lines you will have your patience tested. I promise it's all worth it! Just please don't shop here if you're in a hurry. The store itself is run down. Concrete floors and older shelves. The roof use to leak, but this has since been repaired. They are spending more on fixing the place up, but I kind of love it's bargain basement vibe. The employees are friendly and talkative. We've had good experiences with the cashiers and making returns at customer service. Make sure you follow the store on social media. They are good about listing their sales for the day and posting pictures of their new items in stock. Here's hoping you give this store a fair chance. It's a diamond in the rough for sure. This place is a joke for anything but clothes. I want to like it because the prices are cheap but every item I've purchased has issues. I've bought a tv that stopped connecting to the internet after a couple of months. I purchased a tablet that had similar issues. I recently purchased a toy my 2 year old and I got home and there were corroded batteries in the battery compartment. I cleaned out the compartment but it still wouldn't power on. Don't buy electronics from them! I bought a supposedly "new, open box" Tineco A11 Hero through their Ebay store. When I received the item it was an obvious return. It was dirty, there were cutouts on the package where addresses had been cut off. I could have lived with that, but the vacuum also didn't work. I emailed them and at first they did not reply so, I started a return indicating that the item was not as described (not new, not working). If you list returns this way Ebay does make them pay for return shipping. They did get in touch with me after I did this. I asked them if they tested items that they sold as new on Ebay. They said, "Due to the volume of items we sell they all can not be tested." It seems to me that they should open and test items that are obvious returns before they sell them as "new" on Ebay. Yes, I am a fan of this store. Its not for everyone. But if you are looking for a hidden treasure this is a great store. You never no what you might find here. Everything from DVD's to Toys to Tiffany Jewelry and everything in between. You have to realize this isn't a regular department store. This is an overstock, liquidation and bargain store. So yes there are some damaged packaging and returned items. You need to check things but if you don't mind doing that there are bargains to be had. They do have a 30 day return policy with your receipt, so keep your receipt. Each day is a different sale too. A different department will be on sale. You can call and see what will be on sale or check their website to see what is on sale that day. The website isn't always updated though. You can find some nice things, even furniture at great prices, you just have to look over things. I recommend checking it out and looking for those bargains. Have fun shopping. read more

Her name is adeline and if you have any questions or concerns as a customer I would steer clear of this woman. She acts likes she's either ignoring you or to busy to help assist. A lot of selections. My first time here I felt like it was a mini bargain Walmart with various items all around. Some seemed discounted but my hubby was looking at prices and thought it wasn't as discounted as you'd think. Friendly and helpful staff. One thing to note is I believe if you see something there is a good turn around of items so it won't be like other department or major stores where you'll always find the same item carried. BUYER BEWARE, take my advise and check your receipt before you leave the store. I purchased two tops that were on the $5.99 rack, I checked my receipt when I got home, only to find that I had been charged $15.99 for each one. They have a very convoluted way of ringing it up. Customer service said the only way to rectify it was to bring them back to the store I do not live in KC so could not bring them back. From the way it was handled this is something that happens on a regular basis, so nothing is the bargain it seemed. In fact I did not see a whole lot in there that was a deal. This place is all over the map for me. 1 Star for the fact that before this place was called Cargo Largo, my mother used to DRAG us there (what seemed like every other day) to look for bargains. My mother is definitely the kind that comes home saying "I saved $X today!!!" Not realizing it meant she actually SPENT $X to the factor of Y. Oh, but I love her, and my dad still does, too! teehee I would give it 4-5 stars for the potential savings if you find something worth buying, but that most assuredly takes some hunting once inside. 90% of their stuff (might be a low-ball estimate) is really not worth finding, no matter the price. But for the rest, definite bargains can be had. We recently found a very nice end-table that was originally sold by Crate-n-Barrel. Our price, $90, originally (and we looked online) $220. A savings of $130! [holy crap - I have become my mother] Also found were a couple of nice rugs for the hardwood floors and bathroom, as well as a couple of mini-appliance type things. I won't tell you how much we saved on these - purely out of family shame and guilt. read more

Someone once described Cargo Largo to me as a not-so-nice TJ Maxx. This is a very deceiving description. Cargo Largo is not nice inside. It is chaos. Uneven concrete flooring, damaged packaging, poor lighting, and completely overcrowded. Cargo Largo is unlike any place I've been to. Sometimes I walk in and find deals other times I walk in and find junk. Warning: there is a lot of junk. In fact, most of it is junk. Cargo Largo is hard to describe. They get a lot of overstock. You definitely have to be on the hunt. Cool things I've seen: West Elm curtains, Crate & Barrel duvets, Pottery Barn furniture - all drastically clearanced. I suggest completely skipping the food section and heading straight to furniture. On my last visit there I found an Arne Jacobson swan chair reproduction that retails for $700+. I bought it for $139 and there is nothing wrong with it. I found a Pottery Barn bamboo chair for $52, mid-century Lucite chair for $99. They have a large selection of rugs, too. Hubby went back and bought a pile of DVDs for $2 each. They have a good selection of household appliances that are much cheaper there than at Wal-Mart. The bottom line: I go to Cargo Largo if I'm furniture shopping or if I need an appliance such as a vacuum, GPS, or leaf blower. Then I marvel at all the other random shit Cargo Largo has. read more

I live close by so I come here all the time. The items are always different and it's best to go when there's a sale on the things you want. The fun is also in finding a bargain or that rare item you didn't know you needed. The parking always seems full but there are good times to go. Mornings mostly during the week, If you want to avoid a crowd. But it's busy during the best sales which is when I go. Sometimes the checkout lines can be long if they don't have enough cashiers but that's fine it depends on who you are behind. Don't judge this place based on one visit go a few times every once in a while and see what's different, some stuff may not seem like a bargain but check back again when it's 20-30% off. read more

This is a great store. I will warn you though, it does not LOOK appealing...the building itself looks a bit questionable and the inside is pretty filthy. I don't know what it is about overstock stores that makes people want to throw everything on the floor, but that always seems to be the case. This store is no exception! There is junk everywhere. I tripped over a hockey stick in the sporting goods aisle and nearly broke my neck at one point. And the children--the place is always just swarming with them! You may trip over them as well. If you can get past the clutter and griminess, and don't mind digging around a bit, you can find some really great things. I found Little Women (cheesy, I know, but I love it) on DVD for $4, five books on my "1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die" list for $1.99 each and a hot pink umbrella for $5. Ah, man. I feel really torn about this one. I am a bargain hunter. I am the type who will (admittedly) buy something just because it's on sale and I assume I may need it in the future. I love overtstocked-type of stores... TJ Maxx, thrift stores, Big Lots, even flea markets. And having heard a lot about Cargo Largo, I went pretty psyched to check it on in the hopes of finding some great, irresistible deals. I am sure there were some deals in that place, aside from the violated packaging, exposed flooring and walls, lack of organization, and well, just a sad, sad feeling about the place. At least a thrift store has stuff that was at one time loved. This place is more of a collection of random bits, leftovers, and out-of-decade products that hardly look packaged or presentable. I didn't know if I was in a flea market, a garage sale, a thrift store, or a mark-down warehouse. Sure, there were some seasonal decor at the entrance. Lots of non-perishable foods and kitchenware that would usually be a deal at a Dollar Store. Random sinks and cabinets. Some good looking furniture in the back. A bunch of baby stuff. Some craft items (some!). Random DVD's in the back next to their "Book Nook." Some things were priced at a hit-and-run deal; others were a bit steep for what you were getting. I left with only a phone cover - marked at $5 whereas I had just bought one (in a not-so-fun color) at the AT&T store for $25 a few weeks earlier. I guess the cover alone was worth it. I might need to give the place another try when I have more time and patience on my hands. And some hand sanitizer and a pocketful of mace for the parking lot. read more
