They have tons of vintage clothing, and they also have an excellent selection of vintage records. They have a smaller selection of vintage shoes and hats and purses. They have a variety of knickknacks that are vintage or unique. The Service was friendly and helpful and they had sales going on at the time. The only reason I give it a four star is that I think their clothing was overpriced even with having 20% off.

While there are definitely some treasures and deals to be found, it's ultimately a downgrade in quality from the previous location, at least at the current time. I also want to note that despite loudly advertising that "all clothing is $2.98," they have a section at the front of higher priced clothing items. I admit I think this is a rather duplicitous business practice. It also seems random what clothes are put up there. Some of it was the same fast fashion that infests the rest of the clothing racks, while some finer materials and true vintage was languishing on the $2.98 racks. It just didn't make sense to me! It's worth a stop if you're in the area, but I wouldn't go out of my way for Frugal's.

That said, the staff friendly and most of the patrons were very nice. Please note Thrift stores are very hit or miss so going from week to week can result in a highly different experience. I'll be the first to admit, all thrift stores have a funky smell to them and I found Frugal's to be especially smelly; nothing to the point of unbearable but it lingers for the duration of the visit. Now in terms of being what do they offer, well pretty much everything and anything. Furniture, clothing, toys, books, CDs/DVDs, cookware, you name it. I found the kitchen section in terms of pots, pans, mixers and things of that nature to be very sparse while their main attraction was clothing. Off in the back right, one can find a small furniture section with some decent to horrible offerings. I liked some of the books they had and was extremely tempted to pick something up since I found many that perked my interest. Their music selection had me laughing as I noticed a couple odd bands from the 80s, 90s and beyond which I don't think anyone would buy. Color Me Bad anyone? I don't recall seeing much for motorized lawn equipment but I was in and out relatively quickly. Overall, thrift stores have a very particular clientele and subculture. I'm pretty sure if you're reading this you know how things go, so I'm not going to try and upsell you, rather give you the thumbs up to come on by and see what they got. It's safe and the people are nice while have a very large floorspace open to many different reasonably priced objects.

I was so impressed with the store that I did some thrift thing for the first time in a couple of decades. The staff was super helpful and kind, most folks there are volunteers. I was able to find a pin striped suit that fit me for $30. All I have to do is get the pants hemmed because I am short. I also got a couple of shirts, including a KC Royals shirt for five dollars because I didn't have one. Students and teachers get discounts on Friday and seniors 55+ get 25% off on Wednesdays. I love that this store works with people who are transitioning from being unhoused to housed and they let them come in and select whatever they need for their new place with no charges. For this reason, we will be making all of our donations at Hillcrest thrift store from now on.

There's a lot of stuff that's quite dirty, including tons of vinyls caked in mold and rotting away from water damage. Some of the prices are a bit crazy. We had a lot of laughs out of variety of signs they had displayed in the shop. We went throughout the whole entire shop and the main level is the best, the lower level starts to get thinner and merchandise. Each area looks to be vendors that sell out of the warehouse and so prices reflect whatever the vendor wants to put down for a product. There were a lot of unique items and it's fun to shop in that area and this is another good place to stop by.

They consistently have good and fun items. I've left with a huge cart full several times. My only issue is that it can get packed in there at times. There's often not enough carts nor enough dressing rooms when it's really busy. It's still not bad but I wish they'd work on getting some more carts donated and maybe find some space for a few more dressing rooms. They are raising money for charity and the people who are working there I believe are mostly volunteers so I don't want to complain too much. I'm sure if I'm overwhelmed by how busy it is, the volunteers and employees must be. I like to drop off things here and there to donate to them as well. That's an easy process here. I'm going to try to snap some photos on my next visit but considering it's a thrift store, it stays pretty clean and fairly well organized even on busy Saturdays and sale days.

It seemed more empty when we walked inside. They're well organized, but the merchandise seemed more outdated whereas some thrift stores have a little bit better quality. Some prices were fine, but then some of the clothing I felt like was overpriced. We ended up buying a little bag of toys that were four dollars, which were reasonable for what was in it and my husband bought two books. I think if they get more merchandise to fill out the space then it won't look so sparse. I feel like they should've stayed in the other space they had.
