A very polite salesman was helping us and needed to ask a manager a question about an item. The manager on duty was sitting at her desk on her phone, playing games on her phone; it took several times to get her to answer the question. We walked by multiple times, and she was playing on her phone the entire time. We noticed the employees running around a lot, and the manager never got up to help. Managers used to be hands-on and supportive this was the complete opposite. Poor leadership and lack of professionalism. We left without purchasing and won't be back.

Be wise on what you buy and that goes everywhere we go. The salesperson that greeted us name Samantha is awesome. She did give us a heads up on how it works at that store. If it's not in stock it can take a month. Totally understandable. I'd be pissed if someone didn't tell me and Samantha did. Now I'm not going to give names and bash other furniture places. I saw the same table that's 499. And the competitor selling the same table for $1,500? Some of the realtors that I know buys furnitures here. That's how I know about this place. Thumbs up! Usually if you go to a thrift store, the toy area is trashed from the kids playing with the toys. But they had the toys higher up on shelves and bagged with the pieces that go with the toys. So they actually had a better selection of toys because all the pieces are most pieces were intact. I ended up buying some toys there for my grandson and also some books. Their prices were good compared to other thrift stores. I did not look at the clothing prices which tend to be ridiculous at most thrift stores. We did not have to wait long at all to check out and the woman was friendly. I have been to the other Blessings Abound thrift store in Overland Park, but not this one. I would recommend it to anyone living in this area.
