Five Below is often thought of as a cheap, low quality, and dirty discount store. However, I think differently. Due to the wonderful selection of goods and the genuinely kind employes, Five Below is one of my favorite places. People who make foul statements about Five Below are generally making assumptions and have not been in the store themselves. Five Below is one of the most successful retailers in America (Telford).
The workers and fellow shoppers of Five Below, constitute a phenomenal shopping experience. The cashiers show a substantial amount of generosity, putting the customer before themselves. During one of my first trips to Five Below, the cashier offered me a bright red lollipop. The wrapping was smooth, and not scrunchy like other lollipops, the taste was like thousands of cherries melting in my mouth. To top it all off, it smelled like a bag of fresh cherries from the store. The cashiers are not the only workers in the store willing to help. The store clerks are also willing to lend a helping hand to ensure you find exactly what you are looking for. I have noticed that other store clerks from different franchises, tend not to be friendly, and anticipate getting off the clock. Next, the community and fellow shoppers of Five Below are another great aspect of the store. Everyone in the store is very calm and they never seem to be in a hurry. I saw a young child with their mouth gaping do to the sight of the toy selection. Her father told the child she could buy anything she wanted because all the items were less than five dollars. She asked, "Father, may I obtain this item?" (she actually said it that way). Her father agreed with no reluctance. Five Below also offers charity events in which you can promote the event and 10% of the profits of that day go to charity (Thimou). These fantastic features safeguard the fact that Five Below is one of my favorite places.
The store offers a vast amount of product with reasonable prices, under five dollars. Each store has expanded their toy section by twenty feet as of 2018 (Thimou). Along with this, they have opened 128 new stores since 2018 (Telford). The store offers a substantial amount of tech such as; earbuds, phone cases for every type of phone, chargers, and headphones. If you thought toys and tech was a lot of items, than you should because, the store also offers food from candy to meals. These goods are also economical. Everything in the store is five dollars or less, as the name suggests. Most stores with low prices have ineffective and low quality products. Although, at Five Below, the quality of the items are fantastic. I once bought a pair of earbuds from Five Below and received a lot of criticism from my friends and family saying that they would break. To their dismay they did not, and still work 6 months after I bought them.
There are many budget stores to pick from in America. The choices have become more numerous as more corporate businesses are taking out smaller mom and pop stores. Out of all the choices, Five Below is superior, because the higher prices of the store as compared to lower cost competitors, allow for a wider selection of goods. Many other budget stores are limited to one dollar. This makes them unable to sell tech like Five Below. The store also has more than one employee in the store. Other discount stores like Dollar General have one employee and cause you to feel lonely while shopping. The worst part is having trouble finding what you are looking for. This is not the case as employees are constantly asking "would you like help finding something Sir"? Finally, the location of Five Below is prime. Inside the Ward Parkway Mall, it is close to many other stores. The smell from the adjacent Five Guys makes your mouth water. The sight of the water fountain outside of the store fills your eyes with aww, and the free samples of lotion that the Bed Bath and Beyond offers, leave your hands feeling silky smooth. Finally, sounds of the nearby movie theater makes you anxious to see a film.
Five Below's amazing aspects such as its kind workers and wonderful environment make it an amazing place to shop. Not only is it an amazing place to shop, it is my favorite place in the world. The warm "Hello, welcome to Five Below", makes me very happy and puts a smile on my face. Finally, the items in the store makes me feel like a kid in a candy store.
