This is the most disappointing store ever. Have been a valued customer for almost 10 years. Loved coming weekly until, the new outlet on bannister opened. Everything was the same , prices, nice employees . Prices that are supposed to be $1 to$2dollars a pound, the main awesome thing that everyone loved and could actually afford was when an item like forsay a blender that weighed 5 lbs or more would be considered a 5 dollar item and it would be 5 dollars, period. Did not matter if the blender weighed 15 lbs, it was a 5 dollar item. Now all the sudden , depending on which worker you get, it can cost 15 dollars, maybe 13 or whatever they say that day. This completely ruins shopping at Goodwill Outlet. I know I'm speaking for numerous people. My days of coming are done. Especially when people have been coming for years because those who have a low income, were able to come and get many things for the whole family. What used to cost a cart say 30 dollars is now 80... Unbelievable. The workers will say different prices to every single customer, they will tell some hey let me know how much you got, and I can do this much, but wait till the one manager isn't up front. This is clearly wrong, dishonest to us and your company, they absolutely do not do rotations every 30-60 min. Your lucky to see 3 throughout the whole day. I really think the corporate headquarters needs to investigate every worker, manager at this location and you will see that your workers are dishonest, untrustworthy, and making people who been coming here for so long, just say I'm not coming back, and in disbelief on how they were charged as there walking out the door. New facility off of Bannister is nicer/cleaner, plenty of parking and clean restrooms with multiple stalls. The bins aren't as full as they used to be but people still attack the newly rotated on bins like sharks. Prices did go up to $2.09/lb still with no discounts for over 30 lbs. read more

Be aware that this location does not allow children under the age of 14 inside. This is not posted clearly in any space, so we were informed when we arrived. We were told it is for safety reasons. I would understand this, save for the fact that Buy The Pound Thrift, which operates under the same bin structure, has been successfully allowing children since they opened. There are several other bin shopping places in the city that also allow children. This policy should be clearly written in several places to avoid wasted gas and trips. There is a sign saying to keep your children safe, which I saw in the pictures before coming here initially. We were in the area and decided to stop by. This place is an industrial place so it's next to big buildings and factories. The place is a giant warehouse that is huge. Parking is really big because it's a busy goodwill. There are a lot of bins. Everything here depends on what they have, the time you go, and the day. There are a lot of people here do make sure you are patient. The prices are pretty amazing you won't beat it. We found two shirts. Overall okay experience but a little overwhelming how many people were there. read more

Shoes are pulled out and priced differently too (someone got 4 pairs of shoes for 5.00). I'm a newbie to this and haven't exactly figured out the pricing. They don't have appropriate rules regarding returning items to their appropriate bins. It's frustrating to dig through clothes gets poked, stabbed, scratched by junk people were too lazy to return to the appropriate bin. They have rules about touching others carts, but not rules about them needing to be placed by outside walls so not to be in high traffic areas. Getting in the way of everyone shopping. But you're not allowed to move them. Do not take pictures or video or you'll be asked to leave. The staff is nice regardless, and helpful when you have questions about checking out. The area surrounding is sketchy af, and you need to be mindful until you're at the outlet and back on the interstate. Do not go to that JET gas station. read more

I like this place a lot and I like it so much better since they do not allow children. I used to come sometimes and the children were running around in the way. Parents were reminded constantly that children could not put their hands in the bins but they did anyway. All the babies cried constantly and there were many of them. I go much more often now that the kids are not allowed in. The employees are great. read more

They were floored when I told them that they could buy clothing items and pay a little over $1 per pound; they insisted that we go immediately. It's best to go with some friends to help you sift through the piles of unsorted goods and look for sizes and styles that suit you. Some people like to wear gloves when rummaging through the piles; you might also want to bring hand sanitizer for after you're done. In the past I've found a silky kimono style bathrobe, cute Summer sandals, a new purse, even a Ralph Lauren fitted blazer. You didn't know it... but this is what you were waiting for. The Goodwill Outlet. Could thrift store prices get any better, you ask? Why... yes! They just did. At the outlet, items are priced by the pound, so you can get a pair of used Uggs (if you happen to be there on such a day) for under $2. But be warned, you can also find a bunch of other stuff that you didn't know that you wanted. When you walk in to the outlet, you see a whole bunch of blue bins full of stuff. At first, it might look like junk, but if you look deeper, you might find a treasure. What happens is that the items that don't sell at Goodwill stores in the region are brought to this spot for one last chance to sell. There are bins of clothes, shoes, glass items, and household items... toys and randoms galore! Be careful to pay attention to the rules when you go in. New items ("a rotation") come out about every half hour to hour, for the entire time the store is open. So, you will be asked to step away from the old items and they will roll out new bins filled with merchandise. Everyone will be asked to stay behind the yellow/red line until the workers tell you that it is okay to walk and stand by the merchandise. But... wait! Don't shop or touch any of the items until you are given the go ahead. When they say "go," get in there and start treasure hunting. Every day and every shopping experience is different. Lead management are very rude and lazy. Takes them forever to rotate. A majority of the time you're waiting 3 to 4 hours for them to do a rotation. I went in not expecting an upscale shopping experience and my expectations with that were right on par. Bins were filled high with various items, mostly clothing/cloth but other things too. Can find some good things there, but a lot of digging is required. They bring out new bins fairly often. My biggest surprise and disappointment on my latest visit was to find the price had jumped from $0.99 a pound a few months ago to $1.59 a pound. My mother and I went here around 8 on a Saturday night. Even though the facility smelled strongly of cigarettes, we stayed for about an hour searching. We walked out with a tote bag full of clothes and paid a little over 5 dollars. If you don't mind searching, then you should try going here at least once. Unique experience. Always a fun place to stop in, can't handle it for too long mainly because of the greedy vibes. I get worn out easily from the vibes so more than 15 minutes I'm fried. BUT if you want to swim around in bins of used items and have the chance of winning a great deal, it's worth it! They price items per pound and anything over 5 pounds is automatically $5 (like furniture). I've found some GREAT stuff like a dope synthesizer, a sewing machine, I've gotten plenty of clothes (they're harder to find), I've gotten tons of VHS tapes as well. read more

So I've been here twice now, always heard about it but I live almost 2 hours away. But it's so worth the drive. Yes sometimes there's broken things and trash in the bins but it's because it's all the stuff that hasn't sold in store. In two trips I've gotten over 1,000 dollars worth of books for around $50 total. I also like that they price big items for cheap. There were recliners that were in great condition for being used for only $10. They also have things like weed eaters, bikes, baby strollers and more. If you like to read, craft, and upcycle. This is your place. I see stupid comments about the place being unsafe but we have had no problems with severely broken glass or rude customers. I've seen more rude customers in Walmart over this outlet. I feel safe going there and I do not wear gloves I just pay attention to what I'm grabbing. You may like this place if: -you enjoy sorting through broken glass. -you enjoy being talked down to and scolded by the staff like when you were at recess in elementary school. -you like being pushed out of the way by others who don't have the patience to wait their turn. -you enjoy being part of a sociology experiment gone terribly wrong. They really do have some good merchandise for all walks but finding a complete item or one that is not damaged is difficult. It does not help that they pile items on plastic tables so deep that it is difficult for customers to sort through them without causing damage even if they were trying to be careful (and most people could care less). It is always interesting when they put out boxes of what used to be glassware and dishes that is nothing more than sharp shards of trash. I am also convinced that the workers entertain themselves by taking items apart and placing different parts in different bins. It is really annoying listening to the staff over the loud speaker constantly scolding people who aren't behind a certain line at rotation or who have items stored in wrong places. After a while, the constant messages over the intercom just become white noise and heaven forbid if a person finds themselves in the wrong area. There are numerous solutions but I get the feeling that one guy in particular just enjoys having intercom power. They could cordon off areas with box office style ropes, temporary signs or just have staff stand in the isles that are temporarily closed. Lord knows there are enough other staff members that are just standing around anyway. People watching is kind of fun though. There are people who wear masks and gloves while sorting through merchandise and others who have their baby in one arm while they sort with the other. I think the gloves and masks probably are with merit and the latter borders on child endangerment. The best part is watching a new sorting area being opened. First, people are told they can walk to the new area but can't touch. If you don't walk or touch something before they give the "shop" command, another scolding will come. But then, when they say to shop, it is like watching a feeding frenzy for lions at the zoo. They say that this is where items come that don't sell at other Goodwill stores however very few items have price tags from the other stores. I know they are not taking the time to remove all those stickers so this is the first stop for the vast majority of the items. I think people would think twice about donating to Goodwill if they knew where the items were going and how they would be handled. I know I will never donate to Goodwill again. read more

I have found some great items at the bins but usually I get worn out because it appears that most of the bins with clothing has 100 lbs worth of old blankets and stuff on top of the clothing. trying to pull them out can be exhausting. People are very rude as far as other shoppers they often come and cut right in front of you as your working you way down the bin your digging in. I have to wash my hands asap because of moving the nasty blankets, sheets, rugs it can get gross. I was disappointed a couple of weeks ago we went in the morning when they opened and was there probably 2 hours . We had a cart full and tired. We thought lets go home and rest and go in the evening. They change the bins so it will be new stuff. It was not !!! The same stuff in the bins from early in the morning. yes a few was changed but you would think by 5 in the evening all or most would have been. So disappointed ! I said something to the cashier that hey I thought they change out the bins. He said they do . Well I know better. This outlet store is not for the faint of heart. It is not a place to browse through lovely racks of secondhand merchandise like a typical Goodwill. It's a place for some serious, hardcore bargain hunting. I described it as "kind of gross but pretty awesome" after my first trip. It is basically one large room filled with shallow, enormous bins of merchandise that has not been sorted. Most of it has been in Goodwill stores previously and still has tags on it, but is now being sold in bulk instead. I had no idea what I was getting into and I'll go in better prepared next time, but I found three fantastic clothing items that I have already worn, and will again, and I spent 89 cents total so I can't complain for a second. I went at a peak time, on a Saturday morning, and I was pleased at the behavior of my fellow shoppers who weren't digging through things like rabid wolves but just calmly checking out all of the overloaded bins. That was nice. My finds were an Apt. 9 sweater dress from Kohl's, a mint condition Old Navy fleece zip up, and a gorgeous CAbi ladies vest. At a regular Goodwill store I probably would have dropped closer to twenty bucks on that lovely little trio of new wardrobe items. Score! read more
