Visited Dec 9, 2023. Quickly stopped in before our movie started to check out the beauty section. Always love finding great deals here on K-Beauty products such as COSRX, innisfree, or beauty by Joseon to name a few. Many busy employees at this time organizing and stocking due to the holiday season. Did find the restroom towards the back wall. All stalls were unsanitary and not flushed. Had the 'ick' but of course the flushing issues are due to poor customer hygienes - I had to clean the toilet with soap before having my little one use it. Parking is always available with one security car patrolling the area. read more

Customer service was the best part of my visit, all the staff I personally encountered were very kind. The selection for women over a 12 was very limited and that was disappointing. I know Nashville is growing and changing but allowing large dogs in the store is was new to me, I'm used to the smaller dogs in carriers but to see a dog bigger than a 4 year old child only on q leash and sniffing the snack section was something I don't want to get used to. I understand they are located next door to a pet smart but still uncomfortable. read more

As a huge customer of everything T.J. Maxx, I was super disappointed by my experience at this location today. The selection was fine and I had a basket of clothes to try on as I headed towards the dressing room. My husband and I walked up to the young man working at the dressing room area, Aiden, and let him know how many clothes we had. He said we couldn't share a dressing room, which we've never run into at any of the other dozens of T. J. Maxx locations we've been to. When I told him we'd never had an issue with this in the past, even at this specific location, he said that it was alright and we could go ahead. When we started getting through the items we had to try on, we heard two more employees come up and they all were bad-talking us loudly to each other about sharing a dressing room as a married couple. This made us super uncomfortable as we weren't looking to cause a problem and have been very loyal customers for the past few years. Then, the manager started walking up and down the dressing room hallway actually looking for us to yell at... so inappropriate! She was down the hallway and asked a girl at the end of the dressing room wing if her husband was with her (looking for us, apparently?) and her husband was with her as well. The manager yelled at him to leave immediately and they abruptly were forced to leave. When we came out (skipping the rest of our items as we were SO uncomfortable), the manager, Nicole, and another employee, Ada, as well as Aiden, were all standing there WAITING for us to scold us about trying on their own merchandise. It was so inappropriate and I couldn't believe we were being treated like criminals in a store we've supported for years. I let her know we hadn't heard this policy before and weren't sure why we were being treated the way we were being treated. She made a half-hearted apology once she clearly realized how out-of-line she had been in making us and the other couple feel so uncomfortable. We definitely won't be returning to this location and encourage you to drive the extra couple minutes to go to the other T.J. Maxx's in the area, which are amazing! read more

TJ Maxx and the sister stores are my go to places I don't shop anywhere else because I find what I want at TJ Maxx companies. I haven't shopped anywhere else for decades. I love the fun fashions and also love that they included a houseware section. Now that I live in assisted-living, I just breeze through the houseware section as I don't need anything elsewhere in my small apartment, but I still go there for gifts. I don't know what else to say. I don't have any complaints, Except for the long line at checkout, but I still shop there. I love the prices and often shop their clearance I don't shop their online stuff as I refuse to pay shipping. I no longer own a car due to my age and anytime I ask one of my friends (with a car )if they want to go to TJ Maxx or Marshalls, they grab their purse and head for the door. The TJ Maxx on Thompson Lane is the worst. The manager is extremely rude and refuses to accept returns. I bought a strainer that I never used, but when I tried to return it without a receipt, he refused. I also purchased a stainless steel pot, but when I cooked with it, the steel started coming off, meaning it's actually aluminum. I went back the next week with the receipt to return it, but he refused again, telling me I should have checked before buying. Even when I tested it with a magnet and showed that it was attracted to the magnet, he still refused to accept the return. read more

This TJ's is very small and HOT, I've gone in there a few times and almost passed out, that is ridiculous. I have gotten some really good deals there and to be so small they USUALLY have a good selection. The staff is great sometimes and super rude other times. I had an incident in the store, mid shopping I got so hot I took off my jacket, middle of the aisle. Folded it up and put in the bottom of my little cart. When I went to check out, I had quite a few things and even picked up my coat to make sure nothing was under it. The nice girl at the register was super nice and we were chatting then she got a weird look on her face and barely spoke, I was like is something wrong?? She said no, told me my total and I paid, and put my bags in the cart and walked towards the door. As I'm walking to the door this older woman starts screaming Mam, Mam, Mam, everyone looks and I stop and say yes, I have my receipt, she says are you going to pay for that? I said, I just paid for all this. She points to my coat, I said that's mine, I came in with it. She said, no, under the coat, there is a tag, I was dumbfounded, picked up my coat, didn't see anything... she jerked my coat from me and shook it, and no lie, a 6.00 pair of panties fell out. I was like omg, I'm sorry, I didn't see those and I looked, she gave me the dirtiest look and said, well, are you going to pay for them. At this pt everyone is staring at me, and I of course pay the 6.00, horribly embarrassed. I get theft is a problem, but I had just spent 357.00 there, I hardly think I'm going to try to take a 6.00 pair of underwear. And I've worked in retail and that's not really the best way to handle a customer. I will never understand why if the girl checking me out saw the tag, after she watched me pick up my coat to check, she didn't say anything, or why they had to humiliate me in the store. Had the store not been 100 degrees, my coat wouldn't have been an issue. And I'm not mad they stopped me, I just don't get why they handled it that way. I called corporate and they didn't care in the least. And not that this should matter, but I was polite and dressed well, and that older lady treated me like a criminal. This store should really get some loss prevention training and some classes on manners all the way around. So, no, I won't ever return to that store. read more

After visiting the Cool Springs, Brentwood, and even Rivegate TJ Maxx locations, this TJ doesn't add up as far as organization, customer service, and overall experience. However, I keep coming back because I seem to find the best inventory here because I can find obscure designers brands that aren't as picked over yet. So bottom line, if you're willing or have the time to dig... this is a decent option but if you're seeking to shop with ease, not so much! read more

This particularly link in the TJ Maxx chain should be avoid. The interior isn't at all clean, and the women's clothing department offers very poor choices in merchandise. The merchandise is horribly organized in all the departments; it's impossible to find anything :-( When I actually did find a couple of items I wanted to try on, I discovered that the size on tops I was interested in didn't match the size shown on the hangers. The staffers here are all obviously unhappy; they never smile, and don't offer a greeting when you enter the store. That's not a formula for success in my book... I've actually had much better experiences at other links in the TJ Maxx chain; next time I'll find another location to visit, and I suggest you do the same. read more

Where my maxxinistas at?? Was mildly offended to see anything less than 5 stars at my local tj maxx. What more could you ask for than discounted options for anything and everything you've ever wanted?! Ok, I'll feel it in- being mildly dramatic. But seriously, this location has a great selection of a variety of beauty products, workout clothes and equipment, clothing, luggage, home decorations, anything. All at amazing prices. Compared to other tj maxx and marshalls I have been to recently this one had the most inventory! Their checkouts were safe for Covid and even had dividers despite having every other shut down. Other places have not taken this measure. The register is wiped down between customers. Only fault is there is no fitting room right now. read more

What's not to love about TJ Maxx?! I walked in there today and somehow 2.5 hours disappeared. Not only is it a good way to kill time, it's a great way to lighten your load and spend all of your extra cash! But really, the deals are great. Today I picked up a great fanny pack for travel for $8, an international charger converter for $7, a HUGE candle on clearance for $8, a great final sale Ralph Lauren pull over sweater for $12, an adorable shower cap for $4, some low rise socks for $6, and a package of my favorite mini dry shampoos for $7! I walked out of there for under $100 with a whole bunch of stuff that I needed...and didn't need. The staff are generally friendly and the store is clean. Definitely one of my favorite places to hit for gifts too! read more

We went in looking for NYE party hats and were unsuccessful. They had all of the Christmas things still available so it looked like they hadn't transferred over to another holiday yet. Shopping just after Christmas is not a good idea with the "return lines". Lesson learned :) read more

I love the things at TJ Maxx and this particular T.J. Maxx is close to my home and near a lot of big shop so that's nice. I am conflicted what to rate it though because my cashier was very friendly and helpful, although not well versed in cashiering (she didn't know that she was allowed to give me cash back for a return that was made with a debit card, easy mistake that I wrote off to maybe being new, no big deal). BUT the cashier next to me was helping a customer that was waiting for a manager and obviously had been waiting a long time. This customer was frustrated, but not rude. She was asking the cashier (short dark brown hair, tan skin 20 something going on 16) about the wait and this cashier responded really rudely "I already paged her." The woman was still talking in a quiet calm voice to her to explain her issue when the cashier walked away with an annoyed look on her face to re-arrange some items. This cashier may as well have been chewing bubble gum and blowing bubbles in the customer's face the way she was acting! That's how I picture her in my mind at least because she was flat out ignoring her customer and rolling her eyes. It was like a teenage character in a movie that hates their life and job. This girl was less attentive than April from Parks and Rec! So now I guess I have my answer as to why this Tj Maxx has such low reviews. Not every cashier is bad, but at least this one is terrible and I imagine she inspires A LOT of bad reviews. I mean she wasn't even helping me and I felt offended! Hope her manager gives her some training in customer service, or gets someone new. read more

Not bad for the area. I noticed this location has started selling more house wares and furniture. It looks like the men's clothes are almost the same at all locations however the Brentwood, Franklin Rd. location tends to have some better things. For women's clothing this Brentwood locations has a special designer section and many more housewares. I will continue to shop at the 100 Oaks location but I like the Brentwood location MUCH better. read more

2012/007 I've heard the jingle so many times yet have never set foot in one. I didn't know what to expect except that they are known for their clothes. What I didn't expect was that the clothes would be arranged so that you would have to do some digging. I don't have a problem with that. I wasn't in for clothes, so I looked mainly at the aisles around the store. They have the random household goods/homewares that are carried at a Ross/Target/etc. They had a few random furniture items (like a chair you'd see in some people's bedrooms, for those fortunate enough to have the space). But I always check the sturdiness of tables and chairs, and some of the chairs were wobbly. I'll come in another time to check out the clothes, but I'm giving their housewares a pass. read more

I've got a love/hate relationship with TJ Maxx. This location is packed more often than not and there is usually a sizable line for check out...hence the three stars. There is always something different, which can be good and bad. Sometimes I find something I really love and then I don't see it ever again. Other times, everything is pretty much combed through. The beauty/bath, kitchen/home sections are my JAM. They've got giant bottles of shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, etc for super cheap so it's always economical to buy them. You get more for your $. I've been pretty impressed with the variety of safe & natural brands they've been carrying as far as those go. They've got an awesome section of natural and organic snacks, olive oils, finishing salts, spices, coffee and a lot more. I've found things that I used to buy for 50% more at Whole Foods or Trader Joes! Swag. Last, that candle section. I'm a candle hoarder to the fullest...and this place saves me. Basically, if you've got time to spare and the patience to dig, maybe you'll have some luck. read more

DISAPPOINTED! I was disappointed in this store tonight because it just seemed to have nothing exciting or tempting. The selection of shoes were very picked over and needed to restocked. The handbags appeared to be made primarily of cheap vinyl instead of quality leather. I couldn't even find a decent pair of winter socks or pants. What's going on? This problem is not unique to this particular location as I am finding the same situation in stores across the board. Messy and disorganized, very much like most TJ Maxx type stores. Customer service is sub-par, but if you know how to hunt, you'll be just fine. The good part is, this store seems a little less picked over as other TJ Maxx's so it's a little easier to find what you might be looking for. After a trip to the Petsmart next door, I went to the TJ Maxx. This is the 100 Oaks one. Anyway, I was really impressed with their inventory after having gone to the Brentwood one. I didn't spend too much time looking at the boots and shoes, but there was a lot of quality stuff. I was actually there for some dishes and found some cute, inexpensive ones! I also looked at the jewelry... nothing I liked but the lady said they would restock up on pearl earrings around March, Mother's day, and Easter. And there were a bunch of cute rings and nice sterling silver necklaces. After looking at the jewelry, I wanted to buy some perfume. They had a good range of stuff, but they were all locked in plastic boxes and no one would take them out for me until I paid for it... why would I buy a perfume if I don't know what it smells like?? I don't write a lot of reviews for chain stores, but I love this TJ Maxx, so it saddens me that the present rating is so low and based on one opinion. I feel like there is a certain shopping experience I expect when I go to a Maxx store-lots of digging through racks to find deals and things that I might be looking for. And, the inventory changes really frequently and good finds get scooped up, so you need to go often in order to score the best finds. I've been able to find a fair amount of bargains here, particularly in dresses. Haven't had much luck with their shoe selection. This store may be smaller than some of the other Maxxes in town, but it doesn't mean that they don't have great deals! read more

It's a pretty small TJ Maxx, but you can always hunt a deal in here. But it does not have high end brands like the one in Brentwood does.

I was literally just scolded by a female employee. I placed two toys on the floor to compare, was standing over them holding my child, and she came over and dramatically slams them back on the shelf. I told her, kindly, I was going to put them back. She was extremely rude and said "these other people are going to trip, they're trying to shop" and she stomped off. I was also trying to shop. Whipped into TJ Max after seeing that there was parking spaces available. Selection was good. The crowd was tolerable, especially being this close to Christmas. Glad I came. Going to hit a few other stores while I'm here. New to the area, so maybe this mall will be one of those great little "find" shops. The local area seems trendy and boutique-ish. read more
