Why is the good Tj MAxx all the way out here in Dublin? Lol This is the biggest TJ Maxx I've ever been to, it's spacious, and everything is spread out nicely so you don't really feel cramped when you're shopping. It also has way different stuff than out in Livermore; though this store tends to have less clearance items that I would find "cute" or "fashionable". It's also a little messier here, too. But I found some really cool workout accessories here for my ipod for less than $10! At other stores, an iPod arm band would average around $20. They have some cute home goods accessories, too! Recently they've been geared towards a bohemian/artsy decor scheme. I really like it. They have unique little knick-knacks like hour-glasses, and old fashion globes, carved wooden boxes, and geode candle holders. I absolutely hate leaving one star reviews but something definitely needs to be acknowledged at this Tj Maxx location. The store was extremely disorganized. Clearance items mixed with regular price items. When I asked the girl about the price of luggage. Explaining to her that it was mixed or possibly mis-marked she called over her manager Lorraine who also didn't seem like she had time for my question considering she didn't do a price check for me but instead proceeded to tell me "It is what it is" I guess the employees don't have time for questions or organizing. read more

This store is unorganized and messy all the time. A super rude male cashier was there when I tried to return a suitcase. At first he walked away from The register after calling me over. Then he straight away refused to process the return as I had a soft copy of the bill. I tried to convince him to help me and he was full of attitude and rude retorts, I had to bear with this arrogance as it was the last day I could return the item. But his behavior put me off so much that I left without buying the other things I had wanted, won't want to give them any more business if this is the way they treat customers. read more

Not all discount shopping is created equal. I'm just putting that out there straight away. I should know. It pains me to pay retail for anything. I'm not cheap; I'm frugal. Let's also get that straight! This particular discount shopping establishment can be a toss up. Most are, in my opinion, a gamble. You can't really go looking for a specific thing like you can in a department store. You just have to go with what is there at the time. I've said this before, and I'll say it again: who cares if you weren't looking for strappy Michael Kors cuban heels? If you find them and the fit/look great....you must take them home. My wife was humiliated by an employee (a man) while buying underwear. This is so unthinkable to me that I wish I could give zero stars. This employee deserved to be fired on the spot. He paraded over to another register pretending to wear the underwear while several employees made comments that furthered my wife's unease. You're bound to find something you'll like at TJ Maxx; whether it's dressy to casual, nothing beats a bargain. While you may not find everything you want, you'll end up going home with something in your bag. My wife and I started coming to the Maxx on a whim during our lunch hour and haven't stopped since. I usually head to the men's section as well as the clearance aisle and always find something; once in a while we'll find a few items we can Ebay but other than that, we use this time to just look around and see what can be found. I was lucky enough once to find jerseys from fellow San Diego Chargers LaDanian Tomlinson and Antonio Gates; had to battle a couple of Raiders fans who were deciding whether or not to buy them. SCORE!!! Although the aisles are usually scattered and cluttered, there seems to be hidden treasures abounding every department. All in all, a nice and laid back shopping experience. read more

The first is still Marshall on Dublin Blvd. Since both TJ Maxx and Marshall belong to the same mother company, their prices and merchandise are almost identical. Like most discount stores, TJ Maxx can be very messy and clothes are unorganized. Sometimes it is very hard to find the size. You just need to be patient and check out every single rack. But one thing for sure is TJ Maxx has less brand name clothes than Marshall (I am comparing the ones on Dublin Blvd.), but still better than Ross. So I like to check out Marshall first, if I cannot find what I want over there, then I go to TJ Maxx. As for the service, it depends on which cashier helped you. Luckily, every time I came to the store for purchase or refund, the cashier service was OK and fast. No complains! read more

TJMAXX IS NOT ENFORCING MASKS. SHOP AT YOUR OWN RISK. I was shopping here with another person about an hour ago and we didn't feel like it was safe to stay in the store. While we appreciate the kindness of the workers, we did not feel comfortable that the workers were not enforcing the mask wearing policy that is in effect right now in Alameda County. We (along with the workers near the door) saw a total of three people without a mask walking around the store. The first lady that I saw without a mask was pointed out to me when another customer (shopping with her daughter) was approaching one of the greeters by the door to let her know that the lady she saw was not wearing a mask. The greeter acted like she did not care. I then watched the lady making the complaint approach another worker (a supervisor/manager) to let her know as well. I heard the supervisor lady say that they are "not allowed to approach customers that are not wearing masks at this time" to which the other lady told her "they should be if everyone else has to". Shortly after this, a couple walked in (grinning from ear to ear...mm ironic) without masks. I'm sure they were just happy that no one stopped them to tell them to wear a mask. I know you're probably thinking "the girl writing this has too much time and energy on her hands", well, I know too many people that have been affected by COVID and we all really need to be doing our parts, especially the stores we're shopping at. So, please, TjMaxx, enforce the masks or you may start losing customers. And for anyone reading this, just know that they aren't enforcing masks so shop at your own risk. Stay safe! read more

Standard TJ Maxx - be prepared to dig for a bargain. There is plenty of parking. The women's clothing/shoes section was heavily picked over and not as much selection as I have seen at others . The home department had a good selection of items, but it was very disorganized, so be prepared to scavenge. They had a large selection of furniture (chairs, accent tables/drawers, etc.) and baskets. read more

It's better. Still not great, but the service is nicer, they staff the counter better, it's not such a hot mess. The dressing rooms are clean. They carry some of my favorite lines, Max Studio and Studio M, love the jersey dresses for 40 bucks, although the price is the same and selection better at Nordstrom Rack. They have a decent selection of jeans. You really have to dig through things to find an occasional gem, like my new Max Studio yoga pants for 15 bucks. I find myself constantly looking for a deal. I love the home decor section here, and on occasion, I do find nice sheets and just knick knacks for around the house. However, the children's department and shoe department are lacking in stylish selections. I would not buy shoes here. I do however find a good dress here and there and definitely find some good shirts and cover ups, like the light cotton vests with sleeves. The customer service is great and the lines are never too long, unless it is someone exchanging something or asking a million questions are the register which holds back the line. They could have a few more people working the check out on busier days. Otherwise, this store is great. read more

This location has good customer service, a good selection of home goods, and a vast sea of things you don't need for a relatively decent price. For $71 I was able to get 5 Cookbooks, a pack of socks, a heart shaped Cheesecake pan, two cookie cutters, and an icing pen for cake decorating. Talk about a lot for a little, def a great way to finish up my Christmas shopping and snag some last minute stocking stuffers. Located in the Hacienda Shopping center there are other stores in the area so you can accomplish other things before or after your trip here, or, send your significant other to Best Buy so they don't bug you - your choice. read more

I come to this TJ Maxx at least once a week to check out the new inventory. This location has typically has a great assortment of contemporary clothing, and loads of other treasures hidden around the store, if you're willing to take the time to search around. The clothing sections are usually well-maintained, but the aisles in the back could do with a bit more organization. The check out line can get a bit long in the afternoon, but it usually looks worse than it actually is. Also, returns are made simple (no questions asked) just as long as you have your receipt. Employees here are generally friendly, but last week I had an exceptionally great customer service experience with Michelle. I came to check out my items, but a journal I wanted to purchase was missing its price tag. Michelle politely excused herself, ran to the back aisle to look for a similar product, and offered me a more than reasonable price-- all with a smile. Thanks for making my day, Michelle! read more

I like this TJ Maxx. I can always find something cool in here. So fun to walk around to hunt for a bargain item whether it's a picture frame, hand bags, or a dress! If you use TJ Maxx, Marshall, and Home Goods often enough, you might want to get their credit card. I feel $10 off coupon is rewarded pretty often, and I do not spend a lot of money buying stuff, so it's a good deal. I am happy about that~ read more

Not quite as good as the TJ Maxx in Brentwood, but still pretty amazing. They have much better merchandise in the Dublin store than in Livermore for some reason. Last time I was here they had Juicy Couture flip-flops (they were just a size too small for me! Dammit!). The home decor items can be broken -- especially in clearance -- so check carefully before you buy. I wish they shrink-wrapped their makeup for similar reasons, because it's so disgusting when people open up the packages to try them on. They had some E.L.F. eye makeup in a color I'd never seen before and I was going to buy it only guess what? SOMEONE HAD OPENED THE PACKAGE and they didn't have any more items in that color. :( What I really live for is the food section. They have what I call hippie food in spades -- and what tasty hippie food it is: kale chips, candies made with real sugar, flax seeds, health food bars. Last time I went here I bought my father some artisan mustard made with a champagne base and garnished with dill. After reading some of the reviews I am not surprised this store has 3 stars. I went in today to pick up some stuff and my son happened to find a used buzz light year. It clearly did not belong to that store, but I still asked to be safe because what example would I be giving my son if we just walked out with it. It was $12 but they wanted to give it to me for $2 when this buzz had the paint coming off, the helmet broken AND it was dirty. So they tried selling me a toy a kid lost in that store. The employee ringing me out wasn't much help either, I asked her if she could check something that was in the clearance aisle and she said no because it wasn't on clearance. There is no such thing as "window shopping" once you step foot into TJ Maxx. It doesn't matter what I'm looking for, I always end up buying something. 5 stars for their handbag selection. I try to stay away, but it doesn't help that the purse section is right by the front door! If you think "It's okay..I'll just go and look" Well....joke is on you. If you don't find something for yourself, then you will most likely find something for someone else. Their home decor and kitchen selection can be a hit or miss. Probably because it's out in the 'burbs, this discount department store makes it's SF/Oakland counterparts seem cramped, cruddy, and crowded. I drive here from Oakland and have scored gems SO many times. I've been happy getting jewelry, purses, work clothes, flatware, cooking pans, shoes, and underwear. I once got an amazing set of crystal glasses for 2 dollars because one was broken. I also appreciate that they have so much variety...the discount department store works for me. read more

What can I say, it's one of my favorite stores to find odds and ends. I don't shop for the furniture but love browsing through their knick knacks and body stuff. Often times I find a lot of gift basket items from here to create my gift arrangements. You walk in and it's so sparkly! I've noticed some are better than others. One thing I do not like is that their clearance items at least in the fremont location doesn't really feel like clearance items. A dollar less is hardly a clearance. But other than that their selection is pretty nice and makes me feel good inside when i find tons of things I wasn't looking for lol. read more

I usually really like TJ Maxx, especially the one in THE CITY (5th and Harrison) - but this one is not as "equipped" as other TJ Maxx's I've been to. Their home department is nice, but they have little to no shoe selection for children. I think overall it is pretty decent. I gave them 3 stars instead of 4 because my most recent visit was a little awkward. I was purchasing a summer dress (long beach type dress) and when I went to pay the cashier asked me "Did you find everything alright?" I then replied, "yeahhh i found this really cute dress, I just wish it was a size smaller" The cashier then gave me a funny look and replied, "Well maybe you just need to put some meat on your bones." (I have a rather small frame, but by no means look malnourished). I was taken aback by her comment and didn't reply, at which point she then said "you can always have some of mine." Now if the moment wasn't already awkward, her last comment just magnified it. I didn't know what to say after feeling so uncomfortable and frankly, insulted. So with that being said, they are rated a 3 instead of a 4. Perhaps, they should invest a little more in training their personnel about customer service, at least in my opinion. read more

This is an OK place to shop for discounted items since they do carry some interesting items made in Italy & France from time to time. Customer service is average; some staffs are friendly and energetic while one or two can be rude and fake. Maybe it was because we were in on a weekend, but it was like a tornado had hit. In the kids section all the books were ripped and many of the toys were missing parts. I came to this TJ Maxx after going to the one in Newark, and they have different things. Not all TJ Max's are the same. They each have certain little things that the other one doesn't have. Today I found a lot of good skin care brands on the shelves. They have clinique, Elizabeth Arden, and Big Sexy Hairspray there and also flat irons. If you are into flat irons like I am they have more of a selection in the TJ Maxx in Newark. However, I felt like they have more decor stuff for your house at the TJ Maxx in Pleasanton. But the lady told me they get new stuff every day to every other day so you have to come and check on a daily basis. The shoes are a good buy if you can find the one in your size. They also main brand children clothes as well. You never know what you will find. read more

We go to Marshall's, TJ Maxx and Homegoods almost every weekend. This is the second time we've been to the new one in Dublin and I have no intention of coming back anytime soon. The cashiers are way too new-have no idea how to run our TJ Maxx notes or have any sense of urgency around a line of twenty five people deep.
