I'm so disappointed in this vet, I don't know where to begin. First off, I was totally overcharged today for my dog to be sedated and shaved, and a dental exam. They whisked my dog away, before I was even allowed to speak to the doctor. I feel like this place is a game of telephone, where you whisper something to the person next to you and by the time it gets around the circle, the message is completely different. All I wanted was to speak to the vet! So when I went back to pick him up, I had to be updated by a person at the desk. The doctor couldn't even be decent enough to speak to me to tell me what they did. I paid almost $500 today and they couldn't even give him a bath after his horrendously bad shave job, when really all I want is a medication to help calm him down so I can groom him myself because he has fear aggression from before I adopted him. They refuse and say they have to do it their way, which means they shave him bald, which is really not good at all. It's like they didn't even try to do a good job. I'm not expecting miracles, but they should be smart enough to know that the paws need to be shaved correctly between the paws and to give him a bath! They left root fragments of a tooth they pulled last year and my dog had an infection on his face because of their bad dental exam in the first place. This has been gong on for quite a while. He's been on multiple rounds of antibiotics , but this little sore on his face kept coming back. I know he's not easy to deal with, but that's why he needs to be taken care of thoroughly while he's sedated. I am so disgusted and disappointed with this place. They even gave him an extra rabies shot because they obviously were too busy to even read his file. Wow, this is a very bad place. I feel like they don't really care about animals. It's like an assembly line. There's no communication between the doctor and the client. The office staff is incompetent and short. I'm so upset right now. I'm totally not satisfied and I'm going to find a new vet. If you are smart, you will take your pet somewhere else. read more

Brought my cat here 3 months ago due to possible urinary symptoms, they did a plethora of tests and we were told we have a perfectly healthy cat and we were on our way! Well we had to put our big boy down yesterday due to heart disease and cancer that had spread from his abdomen to his lungs. Either all of this came down out of nowhere for a "perfectly healthy cat", or this place is in over their heads and not capable of making such diagnoses (which is kind of the whole point of a vet clinic). The Dr. seemed nice enough but I'm looking for effective over nice in this business, not sure about anyone else. Also, neither here nor there but the two women working at the desk had pretty awful temperaments. This place gave me a really uneasy feeling at the time and unfortunately that feeling was confirmed for my family in a terrible and sudden way yesterday. This place is horrible. My dog was misdiagnosed by the vet that looks like a hippie and never even told us his name. He prescribed medicine at the first visit. This medicine didn't help, so when I called back I was told to keep trying it. They gave me more. 6 days later I called and they said come in and get something else. When I got there they had the same medicine prescribed. They told me to keep him on it. 3 weeks from my original visit we called because my dog could not even stand up. I was told the vet was busy and he would call back. Three hours later, I called back and was told the vet was still busy. I never got a call back. We then went to the Warwick Animal hospital and they treated my baby with the dignity and respect he deserved. It was 4:20 and they had closed at 4 They still took us. They were wonderful to us and our Dog. He is now gone, and he suffered needlessly for 3 weeks because of that horrible, non caring, non educated vet at Titan. Not sure what Steve's issue is. Is the fact that they sell high quality pet food, and other pet supplies really troubling....or does it have anything at all to do with the level of care the animals get from Michelle? I actually find this to be highly convenient. This is a small, family run business, not a glitzy pet spa. Michelle is empathic, kind,and knows her stuff. As someone who works in hospital, I will say this: you wold be hard pressed to find a better vet than Michelle. I wish she saw people. Her staff is wonderful and accommodating. They are not going to rake their clients though the coals financially either. We've been around, as far as vets go, and we will are loyal to Titan. Even though we moved 90 minutes away, we would not take our dogs to anyone else. They are great. read more

Awful experience! EVERYTIME I went for an appt. they could never find my animals charts. The staff is beyond ignorant and the place is dirty and smells of urine. My dog Rocky is traumatized from his experience, he will not go into any vet place now because of what happened and I have to have a travel vet come to my house now. When administering a vaccination they hit something and it hurt/startled him he freaked out running in circles in the room while the needle was hanging out of his skin and the vet/nurses just stood there watching! I yelled at them to do something god forbid the needle broke while still in him. Luckily he is ok other than it being a huge expense to have to utilize a travel vet now. I have been taking my 19 year old Pomeranian (Raeven) to Michele since December, 2013 on someone's recommendation. I have never experienced such caring, compassionate, and knowledgeable people in the vet business. They clearly care more about the animal's well being than the money. Their services are first class and extremely affordable. Unfortunately, after 19 wonderful years, my dog had to be put to sleep due to internal organ failure from old age. I had called them at 8am, and was told to bring her in at 11:15am. A blood test was performed, and was explained fully to me so that I could understand the gravity of the situation. It was a difficult decision for me to have to make; however, all of my questions were answered completely, and options were presented that could have prolonged her life be a few days. Clearly, at times like this, the well being of the animal must be considered before your own pain. The staff and vet did a great job helping me to make the right decision. I would recommend them to anyone! read more

I am sure there are good stories and bad about everything. No one is perfect. However, there are also ethics. This clinic treated an 11 week old puppy who presented with obvious kennel cough and then allowed it to return to the kennel that also housed its litter mates. The puppy was having difficulty breathing, was very thin, and had severe yeast in its ears. This is just sad and completely irresponsible. Isn't there a saying, "you get what you pay for"? I had the greatest 5 star experience at Titan Vets! I was not a customer and had an emergency situation with my dog who had been out in my backyard and got into a fight with a cat. My dog was bleeding profusively in the face. I was on my way to Warwick Animal Hospital because it was 445 pm and my vet said to go there or Ocean State Vets which I am not overly fond of neither one. I was passing by Titan and took the chance of walking in to seek help. They immediately took my dog from me. Within 10 minutes they concluded my dog had to have her eye removed had me sign the paperwork and the staff stayed on to do the surgery. I am grateful to the staff at Titan for taking care of my emergency situation even though they were closing within 25 minutes. They put my pets needs first and contacted me once the surgery was complete. The price that was charged was very reasonable compared to the other 2 clinics that was recommened. Although I have never been a customer I am moving all of my future business to this clinic. Thank you Titan for your help and support during this unfortunate difficult time. read more

My owner took me to Titan Vet today for my first visit. I was little a anxious because there were 5 other dogs already waiting. I noticed there were only 3 examination rooms. Other dogs came in after and were seen before me. I was thinking this is going to be a long wait. Boy, I was right! After about 50 minutes, I couldn't hold my bladder any longer (I'm old) and wet on the floor - bad first impression on my part. My owner got up after another 10 minutes had past and ask to be re-scheduled. The girl at the check in window apologized. I could sense that my owner wanted to say something, but held his tongue and politely said "thank you." I know mine was wagging from the long wait. I guess we (me and Titan) both didn't give a good first impression. I hope the next visit is better. read more

I can't recommend this vet clinic enough. I'm sure there are other places that have more bells and whistles but I called on a weekend and they fit my cat in who had never been seen before and had been sick. I had previously brought him to another clinic the week prior and they told me nothing was wrong and he was just just "stressed" but after doing everything they recommended at the first clinic, he was seeming worse. I called Titan and they answered all my questions, fit me in on a weekend and were so kind. They Vet we saw was so gentle with my cat, he didn't try to sell me all kinds of things and was very honest with me. Within 5 min he knew my cat had an infection and he gave him an antibiotic and told me what to expect, what to do if he got worse and some tips to help him along his road to recovery. They gave me samples when I was leaving and really seemed to genuinely care. After the doctor visit, antibiotic injection, and 2 additional prescriptions ( and samples) I paid 20 dollars more than the place that did literally nothing but feel around his belly and told me it was stress! My cat was back to acting his normal lovable self in about 24 hours and I truly have this staff to thank! If you're looking for a new place to bring your pet, please consider them. It's not the fanciest but their hearts are exactly where they should be for your pets! read more

After getting a recommendation from a friend, I brought my cat here to get neutered. Very quick and affordable. I brought him in at noon and he was ready by 4pm. They also gave him a checkup, shots, and antibiotics/pain meds - really affordable. Paid less than $200 for the whole thing. wouldn't trust him with anyone else. When choosing a vet you should do so as carefully as you would choose a doctor for yourself or loved one. They offer minimal care and services and an exam lasts for 3 minutes. If you need your dog to have an x-ray the pet must be brought in at 9 am and released at closing, 8 hours later in order for them to get to it. Useless is an understatement! Titan is potentially deadly for your dog since they take many high risk short cuts in providing care and will not see your pet without a 3 week wait for an appointment at their little shop of horrors This is true.. After having them as our vet for 2 years, we brought our dog there when they opened as the dog developed a sudden onset of total lameness in the rear legs. They insisted that we leave as they have a no walk in policy and would not consider welfare of the dog. So they happily upheld their no walk-in policy even though the vet was there and no animals were waiting to be seen (other than ours). I explained to them that the dog can not walk or stand at all as of that morning and that did not faze them so carried her out. We immediately took the dog to RI Animal Medical Center at 343 Warwick Ave, just a few miles away and they were / are fantastic. Today was my first time and last time at titan.. I will give titan two stars only because the manager and front staff were so great! My experience was wonderful until I got called into the room by a heavier woman with very short dark hair.. I unfortunately did not get her name, I wish I had! I was at titan because I found a small dog running around a main road in 85+ degree weather.. the cement was extremely hot and the dog looked like it needed a drink. I picked it up, brought it home, gave it a bath, checked to make sure it was okay, fed it and let it sleep.. it looked as if it had been outside for weeks. I tried to contact the number on the dog tag which was the previous owners number, which was weird to me, I also posted on Facebook to see if anyone would claim him & got no response. I then consulted a friend & she directed me to titan as well as a few others because the dog was in A LOT of pain with its mouth. I would've taken him to ocean state if I had the money.. or even my own vet where I take my own dog however I heard such great things about titan. I called titan Monday morning, explained the situation & scheduled an appointment, all out of pure concern for this poor dog. I took time out of work and brought the dog in.. this is when I got called in to the room by this woman.. she was RUDE and talked down to me like I was a doing such a bad thing trying to make sure this dog was alright. She was very unhelpful & she told me "I can't take care of this dog like it's my own" so I told her she could've been a little more pleasant and I left. She then followed me outside and stared at me as I left.. I asked her what her problem was and she mouthed something that I couldn't hear and all of a sudden, I HAVE A PHONE CALL FROM THE POLICE ANIMAL CONTROL asking me about the situation. This miserable woman told the police officer that I STOLE THE DOG OUT OF A NEIGHBORS YARD.. luckily I had already told multiple people the situation so her lie turned right back around in her face. My only goal was to make sure he was alright, and get him on some meds or something just in case if the owners showed up and they couldn't afford to take him to the vet... I am so disgusted with the treatment I got from this woman. The rest of the staff was very pleasant.. its sad that I tried to do a good thing for a dog in need and she didn't even have the heart to help me or lead me in the right direction. My experience at the vet was aweful we were laughed at for asking to check our dogs poop because there worms in the poop and we needed medicine also our dog needed shots we were told to come in on Saturday between 12-3 by a vet tech and she would administer the shots when we got there 3 weeks later we were rudely greeted by some lady who said shots aren't given by techs and nobody's here on Saturdays even though we had a card written by them to come in. I have been going to titan for about 10 years. Recently I got a puppy that had worms. I had to bring all 3 dogs in with fecal samples. Not a big deal except they put the worms on the wrong chart. When the 3rd dog age 16 went in they didn't even check her out just gave us the worm med. They said the 2 older dogs had a water parasite gave us meds for one not the other then called and said we forgot the med for the dog they saw the day before. I had to bring each dog on a separate day. When the puppy pooped after the meds there were dead worms in it . The vet didn't have the worms on his chart I showed them picture of his poop. Well that's not too bad either. Here's the part that got me... My chi is allergy prone. When this happened They put him on 3 meds at the same time. His throat on the right side swelled up it looked like he had no chin. I called them and asked if it could be allergy to meds or injury could they see him? They couldn't see him they told me to wait for an appointment or go to emergency vet. About 1000 dollars later I have switched vets. If you have stopped caring about the animals get out of the business. I was in their office the month before with my 16 yr old cat surgery old age never recovered fully 3wks later she was dead. Brought all 3 dogs in on separate days. You can't take 5 min to look at swelling and just let me know if I should stop giving meds. Happy ending the new vet is comfortable enough with my chi he didn't have to be muzzled 5yrs old wore a muzzle for every visit. Swellings gone new vet even appreciates that I make the chis dog food. She was very condescending when I told her we couldn't afford the treatment, she said "I don't like to hear that but I won't judge." Thank you for judging me and my family. My husband and I have been taking our dog there for approx. 3 years. I can not express my disappointment and frustration with the way everything is handled with them now from just stopping in to purchase the special food our dog needs, a prescription refill or a well visit. Rude treatment by the Associates at the counter or over the phone. Very long wait time as they discuss gossip or talk about how messy there work area is or annoying customers they encountered during the day. Unfortunately and it saddens me to write this not so positive review but I feel compelled too because it should be know. I can say very positively John is ALWAYS helpful polite and kind even in the midst of a mess or busy spurt he will take the time to attend to you, ask you if you need help after no one else even attempts to make eye contact with you. He answers questions or concerns and if he doesn't have answer he gets it for you in a timely manner and always follows up with a smile and thank you. In my opinion they took on more than they can handle at this point and the quality of service is now very poor too a once welcoming warm comfortable environment. This place is like a dog factory. They overbook and then rush through your dog appointment. I was not able to find a parking space so I called them and they told me to park in the handicapped space, very professional. My dog had a bad yeast infection they gave her two antibiotics and an ointment to put into her ears. I ran out of the ointment after five days when I called they told me I had to wait for the recheck that I wasn't able to get any more ointment even though it said continue to use 14 days. The antibiotics made her stop eating and vomit. I took her to another vet. He discovered that she not only had a yeast infection but a tumor on her back leg. We need surgery and not sure how long it's been there because Titan continuously told me it was a problem with her joint. We are not sure how long the tumor has been there so its a possibility it's malignant!! Thank God for all the veterinarians who are caring, kind and not just interested in the dollar. They missed blindness, kennel cough, giardia, and a gastrointestinal infection in my dog. I am a nurse and I showed them my dog was coughing with what sounded like kennel cough and instead of prescribing medication they sent her home. Because of the missed kennel cough diagnosis, the dog had to be brought to the emergency room and had developed pneumonia that nearly killed her. How do they even call themselves a vet? They nearly killed my dog. Do not bring your dog here for vet services unless you want a dead dog. Absolutely awful customer service as well. AVOID TITAN VET! Everyone claims Michelle is a great vet but she is the one that nearly killed my dog by not recognizing symptoms or doing tests correctly. They are always late. Many staff members were rude. They do not clean the table between pets- this is how diseases are spread. The facility is dirty. I DO NOT RECOMMEND BRINGING YOUR ANIMAL HERE. read more

I have taken several of my pets to Titan over the past 5 yrs and have been very happy with their services. It is a low income clinic so the vet takes into consideration that people cannot always afford the high costs of testing. She will give pet owners the option of forgoing preoperative blood work if their pet is otherwise healthy. I have rescued a couple of dogs that people have dumped at the shelter because they couldn't afford vet care for them and who desperately needed their teeth cleaned or they would have died from the ramifications of periodontal disease. Michelle was able to take care of them for 1/5th the cost other vets had quoted me (only $120 compared to nearly $600), That's crazy!!! and my dogs were fine and their teeth were GREAT!. Although the clinic is not run exactly the same way others are, the staff really cares about the animals and do the best they can with the resources they have. If there is a condition beyond which the vet has the training for, she will refer people to another vet. If you want basic care, spay and neutering, and a no fuss approach to meeting your pets health care needs, Titan is the place to go in Warwick, RI. I like her because she is honest and doesn't screw people over financially. She really is a vet because she loves caring for the animals. It may seem like your being pushed through the appointment but I think that is because there are a lot of animals Michelle needs to see every day and she doesn't mess around with a lot of chit chat. Let me start by concurring with whoever reviewed Titan Veterinary Services and stated "if you love your pet, stay far away from this place." I brought my 2 cats in to be spayed about a week ago and was told to drop them off by 9 as surgery would begin at 11. Turns out my cats weren't even seen by anyone until about 2pm. I get a call from a staff member informing me that I was able to pick up my pets in 45 minutes, but upon getting to the office, was then told that they called the wrong person and my pets weren't going to be ready for another hour or so. Kudos on being so organized, guys! When I was finally able to retrieve my animals, a staff member asked me if my older cat was feral and that I should really get a better carrier for "mean cats." A little offended, I explained that my cat wasn't "mean" nor was she feral, she was nervous... don't they deal with pets of all temperments daily? Two days after surgery, my boyfriend and I discovered that the 2 cats had fleas! Fleas that they were NOT infested with prior to their visit at Titan. When I contacted the clinic, a staff member said bluntly, "no, they had them already. The doctor found them while she was shaving your pets. She wrote it in your file." First of all, that is a lie. And second of all, even if that were true, why would a vet continue with surgery, risking fleas getting inside of an open wound and also possibly infecting other animals? And why would NO ONE at that clinic let the pet owners know or offer treatment!? Please, for the sake of your animals, stay FAR away from this facility. read more

This is probably the worst Vet I have ever encountered. They are very unprofessional. My dog was sick and they told me to go to Ocean state for care. They were open but had no openings. How odd. They even have a sign that says that the wait may be longer if there are emergencies. The staff was not pleasant and seemed like it was just a job and not something they enjoyed. Not a single smile or friendly small talk. This place is barebones. It is little more than a pet store. I finally begged for an emergency appointment and was seen but you could tell they weren't happy about squeezing the sick pet in the schedule. It really wasn't busy, 3 rooms and there was nobody waiting. The male vet was pathetic as he prescribed totally wrong treatment for my animal and he got worse and had to seek care with another vet. I would highly recommend staying away from this place. (By the way, their prices are the same as you get with the quality offices) read more

I'd like to recommend East Greenwich Animal Hospital (EGAH) to Steve from Seekonk. He didn't like the appearance of pet food and supplies being displayed. Perhaps he didn't notice that there is a separation between the hospital waiting area and the food/supply display. He will find none of that at East Greenwich Animal Hospital. Instead, he will find overpriced exam fees (approx $75 if your animal isn't well), a vet who prescribed medication for my 13 year old dog that had contraindications to her heart condition and then refused to refill Michelle's Rx for the medication that wouldn't hurt her. EGAH insisted I bring the dog in for another exam less than a month after she had a complete exam and full blood work telling me that "a lot can happen in a month." Only after I said I would post my complaints on Twitter and Facebook did the EGAH vet refill Michelle's Rx. Or, perhaps Steve would like North Kingstown Animal Hosp (NKAH). Same dog needed a sonogram of her heart and I was told they would take her to Ocean State Vet Spec. I'm on a fixed income and home, so I offered to take her. NKAH told me Ocean State would charge me much more for the test if I brought her in. I later found out that I would have paid $24 LESS. NKAH knew of my financial limits and had noted in my file that "client has no money." After the sonogram was done, NKAH called and said they wanted an "expert" to give a second opinion of the sonogram. That was another $49. I later found out that NKAH never took my dog to Ocean State and instead had a CT "traveling" doctor do the sonogram in his "mobile" office and the charge was $249(Ocean State charged me $225 for a followup I brought her in for) . The second opinion was done by the Ocean State vet. I was never told that the CT doctor did the sonogram and had NKAH took my dog to Ocean State in the first place, the "second opinion" doctor was none other than Ocean State's expert - there would have been no charge for her opinion if I wasn't lied to. I was also lied to because the Ocean State vet gave a 2nd opinion of an xray and not the sonogram which superseded the xray - I would have never agreed to the consult if I knew. I only took my dogs to these other two vets because Michelle doesn't board and I sometimes need that service so I was going to these other vets once a year to meet that requirement. You have to be a client to board, but it would probably be cheaper for me to hire someone to stay at my house than to be ripped off by these other vets. EGAH didn't even want to refund my money on the Rx that could have harmed my dog, and it was still sealed! Think about it Steve ... don't you want a doctor who doesn't pay attention to superficial aesthetics and puts the well being of your pet as their top priority? I would suggest to you that Michelle was busy with surgery or other matters "behind closed doors" when the office appeared to be empty. If she and her staff spent wasted time holding the hands of you and clients like you who need to be coddled because of your unwillingness to accept a stated no walk-in policy, she'd have no time for her patients. Frankly, I don't know how she meets the obvious and constant demands of her practice. I'm grateful for her skills, compassion, and selflessness when it comes to charging moderate fees to owners who want to properly care for their pets but have financial limitations. Given the sacrifices Michelle makes in making vet care affordable, she is more than entitled to impose rules (such as a no walk-in policy) in order to manage her practice. Like you said Steve, you went a short distance to an EMERGENCY clinic - if your pet was in distress, that is where you should have gone to immediately (or to Ocean State in EG - both are excellent emergency facilities). Would you go to your PCP and sit in the office waiting to be "squeezed" in before scheduled patients if YOU were in distress? Of course not, and neither should your pet. read more

This was a few years ago My dog has skin allergies and develops hot spots which she licks and bites at them until they are sores, I had taken her to her veterinarian that she had been seeing since a puppy. After 3 rounds of antibiotics her sores still weren't getting any better, and to add every time i brought her in to the clinic it cost me approximately $85. I had been referred to Michelle by a friend at work so called an made an appointment they fit me in for 9pm on a friday night. Who would have thought i could get in that late. Although I waited a while to be seen she was very busy it was sooo worth the wait, she gave me a different antibiotic and a medication to stop the dog from itching, in one week her sores were almost completely healed!!!!!! And to boot it didn't cost me a fortune, she didn't press me to get blood work, this shot and that shot or any other added expenses, she treated the dog for what I was there for!!!! My other vet would have tried to rake me through the coals and make me feel guilty for not doing their recommendation. I recently took my adopted Chihuahua to be neutered, again a busy office and did have to wait but I will wait as long as i have to knowing she is going to do well for my pets. And you cannot beat the prices i was quoted $375 for my female to be spayed Titan quoted me $175. I would highly recommend Titan. They are in practice for the right reason and it's not to rob you blind!!!! read more

In all honesty if i could give this place a 0 i would. It all starts when you call for the appointment. The front desk staff is uneducated and rude! When i came in for my appointment i was ignored at the che k in counter for quite some time and when i checked in both myself and the lady behind me were disrespected. I was taken into a bland, dirty exam room where there were open needles on the table my cat was supposed to be on. If my pet wasnt having a serious issue i would have ran for the hills. I was treated like dirt by the technician in the room, a chubby tall girl with blondish hair. Then i heard them talking badly about me and my pet on the other side of the door. The vet was rude as well, acted like i was bothering her. It was 9am, how could you possibly be this stressed out. I was there for 3 hours and maybe 20 mins of that time was devoted to my pet. They did not provide me with estimates, a treatment plan or anything. My bill was over 400 none of which i was consenting to and when i had questions they made me feel like a bad pet owner and immediately offered me the office manager for financial help. I had the money they just assumed i was broke. I just wanted to know what was being done to my pet. When they brought my cat to me she was covered in blood on her legs and listless. When i asked to see the doctor because i had questions i was told that she was busy and this rude tech would answer my 400 dollar questions. The tech haf no clue of anything i was asking and proceeded to call me a dumb bitch behind closed doors. When i went up front to pay my bill the male receptionist was great, he tried to answer my questions and even went out back to ask additional questions he was not aware of. Long story short i had to take my pet to an emergency clinic that night where she needed to be euthanized. If you love your pets, please stay away. They should be shut down and slappec with violations and that tech should be fired.
