Good if you're in a pinch but not great. When I picked up my dogs, one of them peed like he hadn't in days and the other one peed in the car, which he has NEVER done. Both my dogs were very smelly and a little skinny after only 4 days. They don't really let you tour the place or send you pictures to let you know how they are doing. They were also very wired, which makes me think they were in the kennel for long periods of time, but not sure. read more

I strongly recommend boarding your pet elsewhere. I dropped my dog off at 8:30 am this past Saturday and picked him up 3:30 Sunday. 31 hours. I dropped him off with his bed and tupperware of food. When I picked him up, his food bin was at the same level (in other words, not touched) and they handed me his bed in a plastic bag. The bed was absolutely soaked in urine. That evening, my dog started to have diarrhea and needed to be fed brown rice for 2 days until it passed. I have worked in animal hospitals and boarding facilities since 2003. My dog is quite accustomed to hanging out in a boarding facility, as I have often brought him with me to work. He doesn't get stress colitis and only has diarrhea when he has a dietary indiscretion or his food has been changed. He has also had some long days waiting to be walked and has never ONCE urinated in his bed. Upset by how my dog was treated, I called the following day to speak to the manager, Karen. Karen looked into it and left me a voicemail stating they had a new kennel person "who didn't know he was supposed to clean the bedding". Did he know he was supposed to walk the dogs after giving them water? My dog basically held his urine until he couldn't take it any longer and then urinated all over his bed. And how long was it before they came to clean up his run, I wondered? I called back the next day and spoke with Christine, the very nice kennel manager. She had been absent that weekend and apologized for my experience. I asked that I have my money returned since they clearly didn't take care of my pet. She didn't have the authority and, after another call 2 days later, I was told she spoke with the owner of the practice who said, "the best we can do is give you a $20 credit." Not, "I'll give you a $20 refund" - they'll give me a credit. Boarding your pet here just because it's attached to a medical facility is not going to get you the care you would expect. My dog was neglected and I paid money for it. For the owner to decide to only give me a credit is to communicate he doesn't care my dog had a bad experience and that he'll take my money anyway. To give a credit tells me he wants me to spend more money with the arrogant assumption I would now, knowing he is this sort of person, ever bring my pet back for "care". read more

We had our 2 dogs stay there at their daycare. Dropped them off fine. But when we picked them up at the end of the day, one of our dogs was limping and could barely walk. He also had scratches on his nose. They didn't say anything to us about what happened. We called them first thing the next morning and told them about it. They said "oh yeah, your dog was playing with our new ball and may have hurt his paw and scratched his nose. We treated his nose. He may have hurt his claw." We brought him back that morning to have him evaluated. No call. We finally called THEM at 2:24pm, and we were put on hold until 3:00pm. Finally, someone answered the phone and said the manager was "on an errand" and "he will call you right back" with an update. We waited until 3:58 and they put us on hold AGAIN for 15 minutes. Understandably, we were very upset. They then had the audacity to start yelling at us. The veterinarian finally called us back to tell us what was wrong with our dog, at 4:38pm. She confirmed that our dog had "ripped a nail" and gave him pain medication. They wouldn't even cover the cost of the "sick visit", but instead CHARGED us for it! They displayed severe unprofessionalism and neglect. read more

I can't understand how this place has a rating over one star. I boarded one of my dogs in 2012. I had used their vet service 1st. They suggested some vitamins and tried to get me to pay for lots tests, which I could not afford and he was not sick, he was running around and a happy dog. When I boarded him I had printed directions for care and personally went over his care. I called twice a day to check on him. Plus I asked that he be groomed before I picked him up. After 6 days I returned home, he seemed out of sorts I thought it was because he missed me. But I noticed he was not properly groomed , no scent and dirty eyes. I don't believe he was groomed at all. As soon as I got home he peed blood so I called back to the vet connected to them and made appointment. They wanted me to do about 3 tests that would be over $800, at this time with the boarding and previous vet visit I was almost at $900. So they did some bloodwork and another test that day I paid close to $400. They recommended some food to use, which I bought, he bloated up I took him back since he was not eating and was very tired. Again they wanted to do a few tests in the hundreds. I had my daughter talk with them and the Vet said his chances of surviving were bad. So I had to put him to sleep. Remember when I brought him to be boarded he was not peeing blood , was not bloated ate well and was running around. He was not used to going out to pee he used pads, he was a small dog, I advised he was pad trained and asked that he not be taken out. They don't keep the dogs quiet and when I returned home they bragged how they took him out twice daily, disregarding the two printed sheets that I plasticized with care directions. I had him 12 years my heart was broken. Within 1 day of picking him up he needed to see vet, and when I mentioned I saw their vet before trip, and asked why I was not told of issues they just ignored it. Within 3 days of picking him up I saw their vet twice they wanted a hundreds more for more tests but said they did not think he would survive. He was bloated , not eating and peeing blood. My heart was torn apart when I made decision to put him down. After that I tried to get dogs from pound they black balled me saying I refused treatment. At this time I had paid them close to $1700 in two months. I believe he was abused, I had told them both verbally and printed that he was not used to people and sometimes could be mean. I think he was abused and that's why he got that sick. I dropped off a loving dog that ran around and played, picked up a sad dog peeing blood and bloated. PLEASE IF YOU VALUE YOUR PET DO NOT USE THE VET OR BOARDING . I know have two little dogs bought off private parties and my vet is CAWS they are awesome and my boarder is DELMYRA COUNTRY CLUB. Great experience at 4 paws. I just adopted a rescue pitbull who has been neglected without nail clippings for probably over a year. She's very traumatized from other dogs and freaks out as soon as she sees one. After failing to keep her composure for a nail clipping at the petco grooming center, their groomer recommended four paws. I called and spoke with reception, who was very understanding of the situation and assured me they'd be able to take my dog and work around whatever issues she has. They even gave me an appointment for the very next day. They have medical and DVM on staff so they can medicate and lightly sedate your dog, if necessary. When we arrived we left our dog in the car and checked in at the desk. The tech who was scheduled for us already knew my dog was reactive and came right out to instruct us on how to get to their side entrance to ensure my dog didn't cross paths with any other dogs. Her nail clipping webt swimmingly and the tech was extremely compassionate and understanding. We were in and out within 10 minutes. $12 for a nail clipping, which is even cheaper than petco. We'll be booking our monthly nail clippings with Taylor from now on! read more

We've used Four Paws now for boarding our dogs and several grooming appointments with Jeannette. One of our dogs is a cockapoo with very thick, curly hair. After every grooming appointment, Felix looks perfect. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. You can tell they love the animals. It says something when your pets jump out of the car and run for the door :) read more

Recently took my dog to Four Paws for a single night stay while we attended a family wedding. It was anything but a pleasant experience. I had made a reservation in advance and was told that I needed to provide proof of vaccinations including kennel cough. We stopped by the day before we were going to board her to complete her paperwork and were then told she needed both a fecal test and a heartworm test. This was the first we'd heard of either. Four Paws offered to do both tests at a highly inflated price. We also asked to have the dog groomed and were given a chart of options. We choose a $20 package which ended up being $60 since they failed to mention that it was a basic charge of $40 and the $20 was additional. When we picked our dog up the bill had other unexplained charges including a charge for "medical boarding" even though our dog was perfectly healthy and her testing was all fine. When we asked to speak to a manager regarding the bill we were told they would call us which they never did. Our dog's one night stay ended up costing more then our one night stay at a five star hotel after the wedding. Very poor customer service. We will not use them again. read more
