Very disappointed this time. Usually have groomer Amber but she has left. She has always done an exceptional job. When I went to pick up my Shih Tsu the groomer Sam said she it was the best she could do because my dog kept laying down. Others never had a problem and other commented as a puppy she was great to groom. Let me state my dog was completely comb and knot free before she went into Petsmart. When I picked Suki up she did not smell fresh she smell more like kennel. I guess b/c I did not pay extra 22$ for deluxe No bows or scarf. Nothing special. I see why there is a sign Groomers wanted. I came here today for a vet appointment at Banfield I needed to use the rest room.When I went into the bathroom is was absolutely disgusting, dirty toilet, clogged toilet dirty dirty .floor dirty everywhere it's not even fit for my pet to use and this is a visit at 10 am . Was picking up an Xmas present for the work wife's fur baby. Ordered ahead online, but they don't have a customer service desk, so you have to go through one of the register lines. After being somebody who spends hundreds and hundreds of dollars, I was greeted by a very rude cashier yesterday who acted like her job was terrible, and she just did not want to be there. Came here to get my puppy groomed for the first time! I usually bathe her myself but wanted to spoil her. The staff was extremely nice and helpful, so I knew she was in good hands when I left her. After 2 1/2 hours, I picked her up and they put little bows on her ears--which I thought was the perfect touch. She was clean, brushed and dried. They also cut her nails, but I noticed that one of her nails was split at the edges, so I wish they took the time to buff it since her nails weren't split when I dropped her off. Bait and switch very disappointing. I made an appointment and received a quote for my dog to be groomed. I had brought my dog with me when I got the quote to be sure that they understood what I needed in order to make sure that they could give me an accurate quote. Upon arriving for my appointment I was told that the quote was not good and that it was going to cost me an additional 50% over the original quote to have my dog groomed. Needless to say, I left without having the grooming done. I don't recommend any company that practices bait and switch policies like that. read more

A place to spoil the creatures When into this store a few days ago and was pleasantly surprised. It was larger than it looked from the outside and even had a groomer and the Banfield hospital inside. Lots of different fishes, birds and some cool looking reptiles. We were primarily interested in cat stuff and found the Science Diet food our felines need and tons of treats that they probably don't need. Even some cool looking catnip mice to make our cat Crazy Walter even crazier. The staff were extremely friendly and one of them even showed me her kitten pictures. A very impressive pet store that will allow us to spoil our creatures even more. read more

I've visited many PetSmart locations and have had great experiences at most all of them. This specific location, however, doesn't quite match up to other locations. I had just moved to the area with my diabetic cat. I had discovered that this is the only location within a reasonable distance that carries the prescription food that he needs. I went to the location two days ago and discovered that they were completely out of the diabetic food my buddy needs. The young girl who assisted me at the time was trying to be helpful enough, went in back and searched everywhere. She had then stated, after not finding any, that finding it is never a sure thing at this location because it's the only one in the area that sells it and often it runs out and she never knows what to expect. I could tell she felt bad. I went back today and found it, but wanted to have a word with the manager about this subject to hopefully get a better feeling about my cat having what he needs on a regular basis. First of all, when I asked the cashier to speak to the manager and the "manager" approached me, it was some young gal with Kool-Aid hair snapping bubblegum. Call me old school (I am, I admit it), but I've always envisioned any sort of management having a bit more of a professional appearance. I asked the questions I wanted answers to, like is it going to be a regular issue finding this specific prescription food when my cat starts running low? I never got a real answer. She started rambling about her store is a corporate store, hence taking the ordering process out of her hands. She talked about my keeping up with their delivery processes regularly and calling the store. Her basic demeanor through the who conversation was that it was her store and she was going to run it the way she sees fit, that my concern didn't matter. I walked out feeling like nobody at this location cares about my pet. I'll get his food it they decide to have it on their shelf. My cats new vet has a mail order company on line that I can order this special food through, Thank you PetSmart, but I'll be using this privilege instead of fighting almost a half hour of traffic to deal with these young kids running the place. read more

This store, and the company, do not stand behind their inferior products! Thankfully, my dog was not seriously injured by one of their products. Last summer, I bought an orange, plastic, floatable 'training dummy' from this store, sold under the "Top Paw" brand (which is a PetSmart store brand). As soon as my dog got ahold of this orange plastic training dummy, she quickly chewed the end off of it, ate the pieces of plastic, and later, vomited pieces of orange plastic. Although this product is not meant as a chew toy, in my opinion, it should still have been constructed from a sturdier plastic or material that would not be chewed apart so easily (my dog only had it for about three minutes before I realized she was chewing it apart). With original receipt in hand, I returned to the store within a day or two of purchase, but a store manager refused to refund my money, or even give me a store credit, saying that the item was not in re-saleable condition. So, I wrote a detailed letter to Mr. Eran Cohen at PetSmart's corporate offices in Phoenix, Arizona. Mr. Cohen is executive vice president of "customer experience". I included a copy of my receipt, and photos of the chewed up toy my dog had ingested and vomited. I asked for some compensation for the cost of the item, and possibly something for the fact my dog suffered. It has been over two months since I sent Mr. Cohen the letter, and I have not received any response. Needless to say, I will not be purchasing anything ever again from this, or any other, PetSmart store. read more

I have been taking my two Siberian Huskies to Jen at the grooming salon every 6 weeks for almost a year now. Sometimes I get the "basic" package which is shampoo, condition, blow dry /brush out, nails and ears. Other times when they need a little extra TLC for their extreme shedding I get the "furminator" package which uses special anti shed shampoo and conditioner and then they get extra brushing for their undercoat. Jen even trims the hair around their pads for me, and sometimes I'll throw in a teeth brushing. Jen never disappoints. She is kind and gentle, and extremely thorough. I have such peace of mind dropping my "kids" off with her for the day knowing that they are in great hands, and though they give you a pick up time, she always calls to let me know if they are ready or if she needs extra time. Also, my vet always comments on how beautiful and healthy their coats are! An added bonus! read more

This is a good store to go to for just about anything that you need for your dog. I don't know about other animals because I only have a dog. And what I didn't realize is when I went yesterday because my dog had a sore paw pad and I was looking for cream was that they have veterinarians right in the store. I had no idea that that was an option. I know that they offer grooming and I have considered that when my groomer was not available. I was assisted in finding cream for my dog but also advised to talk to a vet there to make sure that I was treating it appropriately. It was nice to have that opportunity and to have a selection of treatments for the sore paw. Their prices are a little higher than some other stores I believe but they do have a nice selection and I was able to buy a cute little T-shirt for my dog for Thanksgiving which is fun read more

Clean, organized and convenient all describe this store. I don't think I have ever stopped here and they were out of something I needed. Great selection of food and treats as well as other supplies for your pets. It does get busy on the weekends, like most stores, so I tend to shop during the week. My favorite thing about PetSmart is they are very active in helping homeless animals. They host adoption events and also make it very easy to donate to animals in need. read more

This place is ridiculous either doing a puppy hair cut that it's literally no haircut just a bath. And they wanted to charge me 85 dollars just because it's the bread. The puppy is 3 months old adult ones get to be up yo 100 pounds just think how much it doesn't make sense. read more

"Danielle is a great groomer!" I just had my boy Luke a 90 pound half Alaskan Malamute half Siberian Husky mix get a Furminator Shampoo & Furminator Moisturizer bath and grooming as well as his nails grinded and a stencil of a paw print on his hip in a galactic color scheme. Grooming this breed is a real chore as they never seem to stop shedding especially in the summer however now he looks AMAZING! She did such a great job and I'm glad she makes me feel comfortable leaving my best buddy with her. He was even done an hour early! It was well worth the price and it was affordable. She even wrote a sweet note about today's service about how Luke was such a sweet boy and she gave him a creative blue bow tie bandana. His next grooming appointment will most definitely be with Danielle again. read more

The store offers a lot and is very nice inside. The training however is a complete waste of money. Trainer is kind BUT bad. She would tell stories and never got down to consequences but instead told them how to sit and give paw. You can do makeup classes (one on one) which is better because she's not distracted with 5 other dogs and dog parents. I really do not recommend in store training at pet smart or any store really. It's worth the money to have a trainer come to your home and train the dog with you and all family members. Reana is the trainer, I think she's why it was unenjoyable. She'd get mad if you went about something different and would call you out and laugh in front of everyone else. I just don't suggest it and it is not even close to worth $119 once a week for 6 weeks. The socialization for the puppy is GREAT but besides that, just take him to the dog park. read more

Last time I took my 13 year old shihzu was Aug 8 its exactly 2 months today.... While giving her a bath I noticed her nails where not clipped since all her her nails where curled in to her skin, I understand she's a hairy dog and sometimes they have forgotten but not to this point that they are in her skin. I'm taking her to the vet to have them clipped rather have a vet since they are extremely curled. When I called to inform them of what I'd happening the manager was not there do they put me with some random guy who all he can say to me was "ok". Ok,ok". This is not only to other consumers but to PetSmart .. customer service and showing care to the people that actually contribute to your business a but more sympathy and retrain your staff will take you a long way. All I needed from you guys was an "I'm sorry we maybe had missed this bring g her in and will take care if those nails or something g similar" some sympathy even if you guys don't care .. as customers our dogs are like our children and to hear someone untrained to pick up a phone and act like he has better things to do is unacceptable since because of your customer owners and employees have a job. I usually always come here but lately for the last year or so, all they sell is dead crickets. I've heard employees acknowledge this plenty of times but nothing is done. Even the crickets in boxes are dead. Today I tried bringing it up, and instead of addressing it, managers just say it is what it is. Besides that, there are hardly staff when needed. There have been plenty of times, I've waited a long time with people also waiting with me. Even though I am closer to this one, it is worth it to drive to the other location in Attleboro instead of coming to this one. Before I wrote this review I did try to talk to the employees/managers about it. I had an appointment for 10/27/2020 which I kept. When I got there I was very disappointed that they could not cut my dogs because of the matting around their ears. I spent over 4 months trying to find a company to trim my dogs and finally found PerSmart. Never once did they tell me matting was a problem. This happened because I could not find a groomer until now. The answer was they could not use a close enough blade to get at the matting. If I was able to have them trimmed before they got to that stage why would I need them now. read more

I have been going to PetSmart to purchase Dog toys, food, gromming combs, etc. I have been less than satisfied with the quality of the toys. I have found them to contain easily accessable small plastic parts, fluff or non-digestable materials. Relative to such items I would recommend elsewhere for better quality and lower surgical bills for the dog. read more

well im sure some people are happy with petsmart but im most certainly not,ive used them for a long time but this time was crazy. I have a 17pd little dog and I was charged 86 dollars and he was just there not even a month ago, and then a guy came in to get his dog and this male groomer told the lady that works there give him a coupon and he was making sure he got a coupon, so I thought whats up with that, we pick and choose who gets a coupon. and I know you get a coupon from your last visit not when you pick up your dog. I found somewhere else to go and im sure it will be cheaper and much better and all hair wont be flying around my car or house. read more

Other than RT 2 traffic this place is really a great location. The store is large, the selection is vast and you can bing your pets in with you. Prices are not bad either, cheaper than the supermarkets and Petco. I like that they offer a place for PARL to show cats that are in need of good homes and up for adoption.This is my go to for all of my pets food, and other needs like toys and cat nip. If I could give this place a zero star I would. The people are not fit out for grooming whatsoever. I've never had a problem with my pup being groomed. I took him to PetSmart and the dog in line before me was turned down for being too knotted and when it was our turn he took one look at my dog and said his ears were matted and he could not bath, or give him a cut. Didn't even attempt to brush his ear out, which I do frequently. I'm really not sure how they're even still running a grooming business if they turn down every dog with a single knot. If you can't handle a simple grooming my advice is to warn customers on the phone that your experience as a groomer is extremely limited, rather than waste peoples time. read more

Today my daughter and I went to Pet Smart with the intent of purchasing a goldfish after we had spent 2 days prepping an aquarium, testing the PH Levels, etc. As we entered we were immediately approached by the "fish guy" who asked us what we were looking for. We told him, he asked what our aquarium size was and immediately started lecturing me on the fact that our aquarium was too small for a goldfish. I looked at him quizzically and let him know that I have homed 2 different goldfish in the same tank for 5+ years. Fish guys response was: "That's nice, but a goldfish can live up to 50 years." He then points at my daughter and says "Being proud of a 5 year old goldfish is like being proud that she only made it to ten years old." Excuse me? Are you kidding me? I am not only a responsible mother, but also a responsible pet owner who (odd as this may sound) really bonds with my pet goldfish, which is why when one expires (usually due to the poor water in Warwick post tank cleaning), it takes me at least a year to move on from the loss of a beloved pet. However I am not unreasonable; if Fish Guy had displayed a touch more tact I would have gladly been open minded into being persuaded to purchase an alternate aquatic companion.
