Since I live in a town home community, it was a dreadful thought to consider bathing him inside. I search for a groomer, and located a place near by. I browsed the website and was thrilled to see that they do self wash! for $15 they provide the bath(of course) dryer, towels, brushes and nail clippers if you are daring to do them yourself. The best part is, you can leave the mess behind! No wet dog smell, water everywhere and best part of all no hair to clean up! having a German shepherd he can have massive balls of hair. They do provide grooming and training for your pup. They have dog food, treat and shampoo for purchase in case you forget your own. The gentlemen that help me was very attentive and knowledgeable. I would recommend calling ahead of time to ensure your spot. This place is very useful!

August 24, 2019 @ 2 p.m.: My wife and I dropped off our dogs for grooming. They took down my phone number and told us it would be about an hour. We asked if it would be okay if we came back at 6 and were told that would be fine. After leaving we realized that they never asked us for proof of rabies vaccination and thought that they perhaps just forgot. When we returned at 6 they hadn't even started on our dogs and informed us it would be another 2 hours or that we could opt to bring them back today at 2 p.m. August 25, 2019 @ 2 p.m.: Against our better judgement we returned with our dogs because we drive a truck and really needed them groomed before leaving to go back on the road. Upon arrival we stood out front for more than 30 mins waiting for them to open. During the wait an employee sat in her car as two other customers came to pick up their pet from an over night stay with Obedient By Nature. She made no attempt to make them aware of why they weren't open and kept playing on her phone. There was also another customer waiting that had a 2 p.m. apartment for grooming. We finally got fed up and left after more than 35 minutes of this and called Bark Avenue Mobile Grooming. Who is coming to us to provide the exact same service for the exact same price. I highly recommend them as an alternative to the less than satisfactory service that we receive at this place of business. BARK AVENUE MOBILE GROOMING (770)562-8404

So today I want to do just that. Chippie's Place has been an absolute lifesaver for me and my fur child, Willow. Before finding them, we had a horrible experience with another local grooming and daycare facility that unfortunately even resulted in an emergency vet visit. It was incredibly upsetting and honestly left me feeling scared to trust anyone else with my baby. While we were at the vet, they recommended Chippie's Place. I was still nervous, but I decided to give them a call and schedule Willow's first visit. That first day I probably looked like a crazy dog mom because I stayed glued to the cameras watching her the whole time. But what I saw was a team that was patient, loving, attentive, and truly cared about the dogs in their care. Now we have been going there for a couple of months, and Willow absolutely loves it. When I tell her in the morning, "Let's go to daycare," she gets excited. As soon as I turn onto their road, she gets even more excited and is ready to jump out of the car and run inside. They do a wonderful job grooming her, but more than that, they treat her with patience and kindness. I look forward to seeing her photos during the day, and little things like the Valentine's card they helped Willow make for me just show how much heart they put into what they do. I honestly didn't think I would find a place that would love and care for my baby the way I do, but they truly do. Thank you, Chippie's Place, for giving Willow a place where she is safe, happy, and loved. That means more than you know. And if Willow could type this herself, I'm pretty sure she'd say, "Five paws up and see you tomorrow!"

Brindy can't get out of the car fast enough when he realizes he's going to "play with his buddies". They are incredibly accommodating, having allowed us to change our plans last minute several times. The young people who work with the dogs are great! They genuinely know and love their pups! Brindy is greeted by name right away and he comes home worn out but very happy. This is especially important to us as my husband and I both are getting older and have run into physical issues the last few years that limit our energy and mobility to give Brindy all the exercise and active play he needs and deserves. It's a bit pricey but worth it. I wouldn't take my pup any where else. Highly recommended.

Because we are all looking for different things I'm simply sharing a pro's and cons list from our (my and Little Leo) perspective. Pros, for us - Super kind people! Just down right nice people! - Nurturing - We've known our trainers for a full year and we really feel like part of the family! They are truly the best! Cons, for us - Calendar - I didn't ask for a holiday calendar and was surprised to learn group was often cancelled for holidays that aren't observed federally, in schools, etc. For example Sunday, 10/28 was cancelled because Halloween was Tuesday, 10/31. - Timeliness - I learned an unwritten rule is to wait until all instructors are present and a majority of that class sign up. Most of the time this is 15 to 20 minutes past start time. As a result, you're either waiting up to 20 minutes or late if others are on time. - Weather - I didn't ask what the inclement weather policy is. I suggested having make up days or even an inclement weather plan like meeting in a mixed use facility or school which come at no cost. Too bad there is lots of rain in the summer months that cause cancellations. - Communication - We understand things happen. We just expect more direct, proactive communication. For example, if trainers are running late to group, a text to all sharing that would be most appreciated by many. My recommendation would be to ask the right questions, be really clear, and get things in writing. For example, the group would take trips to the airport and work with the airline to get our pups in training through security and to the gate. I later learned is not a service available since COVID. I really wise I'd have known that they were just sharing components of the program in 2019. For us, each of the cons, commensurate with the price, won't allow me to recommend for others and we won't use them again for obedience training or me next service animal. I am certain this style works for many, and I'm sure it would exceed the expectations of some. They really are a wonderful group of people! Thank you so much Natasha, Reina, & Sable! You'll forever be in our hearts! Can't wait to see you at group next Sunday!

We…read morefocus on positive reinforcement paired with a personalized, in-home approach. This will empower you as the owner to be an integral part of the process for sustained dog obedience training in Atlanta. Our approach is based on positive reinforcement. You may have heard it called "Classical Conditioning" or the "Pavlovian" model. Research has shown positive reinforcement to be more effective with longer lasting results than other training methods. We help you and your dog achieve sustained, deep-rooted obedience. We use positive dog training in Atlanta based on the classical conditioning theory, paired with an electronic collar-- this is not a shock collar. Unlike a shock collar, an electronic collar does not hurt or harm the dog and is used to obtain a dog's attention. We believe in using ongoing praise to encourage good behavior. The difference becomes clear when comparing a dog that is trained using treats to bribe vs a dog who truly desires to please from the inside out. Dog Training Elite is veteran owned and operated. We specialize in obedience, service, and therapy dog training. We are partnered with the Malinois Foundation that provides service dogs to veterans to aid with PTSD and other service needs.
