Brought the dogs in then got a text message with the invoice which was going to be $287 because they upcharge the little dog another $35 because of the way and they say it's listed on their website. This is after I talk to the owner of the company and quoted me 235 for the two dogs then the final bill came out to 287. I went in to tell him I got two different prices they gave me a bunch of excuses which didn't make sense. The owner also said that the little dog bit the groomer twice. I went in to talk to him about that she said that the dog was muzzled the whole time during his session. How did she get bit twice if he's wearing a muzzle? Then of course they charge me a $10 special handling fee because supposedly she got bit. They gave me the original price and then they upcharge my card for the price they felt was correct. Never go to this place as far as I'm concerned if you lied to it's not a good business stay away from this company altogether

We started taking him to Kaitlyn a few years ago, and it's one of the best decisions we've made. She always returns him in beautiful condition, looking so handsome and smelling great. She treats him with the utmost care, as if he were her own, and she always does an excellent job with his lion cut. Before finding The Grooming Box, we had tried another mobile groomer at a comparable price point, and even with two people in the van working on him, the results weren't nearly as good. The difference in quality and detail with Kaitlyn is night and day. I've recommended The Grooming Box to friends and co-workers in the area, and everyone has had wonderful experiences with nothing but positive things to say about Kaitlyn and the other groomers. The staff who answer the phone are polite, professional, and easy to work with, and the quality of care and grooming is unbeatable. Editing to add that I posted the comment immediately after speaking with a representative of the business who told me different info than what the business owner replied. She asked if my senior dog had been boarded before and I said yes, explaining that I travel around the country and board my dogs quarterly and send them to daycare monthly. She was clear that they have phased out accepting senior dogs who haven't been their clients. She also said I needed several days of daycare to assess temperament. It sounds like there may be some disconnects between this company's policies and what their reps say. This can probably be remedied with some training. I appreciate the kind response from the business owner (+1 star for that) and wish Friends of Toto all the best as they get the communication issue with prospective clients sorted.

When I made the appt for my Maine Coon to be groomed i was informed he would be bathed and brushed,…read moreears cleaned, nails trimmed and he would be shaved into a "lion's cut" as per the description of the full service grooming package i was booked and ultimately paid for. Upon drop off i was told everything from the back of his front legs all the way to his sanitary area would be shaved. I agreed and thanked her for the explanation. When I arrived to pick him up i paid for the full service BEFORE they brought him upstairs to me, my mistake. When we arrived home i noted he smelled nice and clean and his ears were visibly cleaner, other than that you could not tell he had been to the groomers! His fur was still very lengthy on his entire belly from the back of his from legs all the way to his sanitary area. He had not been trimmed let alone shaved what so ever. I called to inquire and clarify the expected services and was told he was shaved and if i wasn't satisfied with it to bring him back in. I certainly was not about to bring him back after being charged $164.50 simply out of fear of what he may look like the next time after I had made the complaint. I am happy to read to many people have had positive experiences with this establishment, unfortunately I am NOT one of them. I feel as though they set the expectations for me two separate times, both on the phone and in person and I paid the full price for services that were not in fact completed. The new facility is better in every way, and the owners and staff are the same terrific crew. This is a full-service dog center: daycare, grooming, overnight boarding, hiking excursions, farm outings, etc. So far I've only taken my dog there for daycare and the occasional grooming. She starts yodeling in the car when we're a couple blocks away, drags me in the front door and trots off happily with the staff, without even a glance back at me. At pickup time she's happy, tired and ready to come home - though I think she wishes we lived upstairs so she wouldn't really have to leave all of her pals. When I travel later this year, I'll be able to relax knowing my goofball is in good hands. Highly recommended.

The photo is of Lady the day after, still looking so lovely. Alisha updated me a couple times throughout the day to let me know how things were going. Lady is nearly 13 and not used to being away from her mommy, so it was comforting to know she was happy and relaxed. Lady's hair is still super soft, she smells great, and the pretty bling clip is in place. While I'm able to take care of Lady at home, I will definitely bring her in to Alisha and her crew for a "spa day" again. It's a less stressful experience for Lady (and for mommy!)
