Our previous dog, Honey, had major surgery and couldn't be groomed for almost 5 month. When we called and spoke with Buffy she was so compassionate and took Honey in and groomed her with such care...as if she were her own. Honey looked beautiful and was so proud of herself! Now we have Molly and she absolutely loves everyone there. she always looks adorable when we pick her up. Yes, we do drop her off early and usually get a call to pick her up a few hours later but it takes time to correctly wash and groom a dog. As far as the cost...I think it's about average for a perfect grooming done exactly as we request. I would definitely recommend Four Paws to everyone...and I do. Kudos to Buffy, Mario and Rhonda!

Editing to add that I posted the comment immediately after speaking with a representative of the business who told me different info than what the business owner replied. She asked if my senior dog had been boarded before and I said yes, explaining that I travel around the country and board my dogs quarterly and send them to daycare monthly. She was clear that they have phased out accepting senior dogs who haven't been their clients. She also said I needed several days of daycare to assess temperament. It sounds like there may be some disconnects between this company's policies and what their reps say. This can probably be remedied with some training. Setting up an appointment was easy, pricing was decent - can't complain seeing how they come right to our house which was stress free for us and our boys. Augustine was AMAZING! Explained everything to us, met our dogs and everything went about more smoothly than we expected seeing how our boys aren't the friendliest with new people .. but I think they made a new best friend!! We started taking him to Kaitlyn a few years ago, and it's one of the best decisions we've made. She always returns him in beautiful condition, looking so handsome and smelling great. She treats him with the utmost care, as if he were her own, and she always does an excellent job with his lion cut. Before finding The Grooming Box, we had tried another mobile groomer at a comparable price point, and even with two people in the van working on him, the results weren't nearly as good. The difference in quality and detail with Kaitlyn is night and day. I've recommended The Grooming Box to friends and co-workers in the area, and everyone has had wonderful experiences with nothing but positive things to say about Kaitlyn and the other groomers. The staff who answer the phone are polite, professional, and easy to work with, and the quality of care and grooming is unbeatable.
