Save your money and your pet's health and don't use these people. Hardly ever the same person. Communication issues most times. Going back to old place tomorrow after 2 months of treating for severe ear and skin staff infection. From dirty equipment or water, who knows. Finally better. Also saw that they never trimmed her nails that are buried in her long fur. Upon closer inspection they are so long that they have curled under which doesn't happen by missing doing them once. Suspect they never did her anal glands from what the vet mentioned. Hair cut was always half-assed and inside ears left unplucked and dirty, but she is not a show dog. Each time they came took less and less time until they were doing a double-coated, long-haired dog in 75 minutes. Originally took almost 3 hours. They did bathe her but by second day the perfume wore off and she smelled like a dirty dog again. Not sure how they are still in business but in my opinion (and my dog's) go elsewhere. read more

So I had them 6 months ago and I was very pleased with them. They had called me 3 months later for an appt, but I do not groom my German Shepherd that frequently and relayed that to them and told them I would contact them in the spring. I have been attempting to contact them since last week, left numerous messages and left and e-mail stating I was having difficulty booking on-line. I have yet to receive a call back or an e-mail. It is too bad, I liked them, they did a great job, my shepherd loved the groomer but I will have to find one that actually gets back to me since my dog needs his grooming. Let's just start by saying the girls are super nice and very good with my one year old toy poodle. They always get his hair cut pretty much how we want it and he always is happy to see them. The last two times we have gotten him groomed by Juan he's done a terrible job. He never cuts him right at all and he literally CUT MY PUPPYS SKIN! We will NEVER USE THEM AGAIN! Javier and Daniel barely left my driveway and I'm already sitting down to write a glowing review! I have a 10 year old Maltese rescue who's hard of hearing. Only a year and a half ago he was wandering the streets of New Haven. I don't have much history on him. I do know that while he tolerates baths and light brushing, he does not like his feet touched and jumps a bit when his face is touched. He definitely needed a professional. We went to a brick and mortar place a couple months ago and after 4 hours, they said he was unmanageable and barely gave him half a haircut. They thought maybe it was because the groomer was a man, so when I scheduled with Samy's, I asked for a woman. Unfortunately, they were all on vacation. Loved Samy's! Originally I had an appointment a couple months out, but asked if it was possible to be on a cancellation list (like at the Drs office) was contacted a week later and they came right out and on time! They took their time with my cat and dog. My Dog is older and has trouble getting in and out of the car so going to the groomer has become difficult. The two groomers (I wish I could remember their names) were the sweetest, and so gentle. In all fairness, my cat is an angry cat, and I was surprised they did not return him within seconds.. as he does not handle stress he bites... but they did not get bitten! They were able to delay him (which I could NOT even take a brush to him) and they were able to shave 90%!! I was so happy! My dog, a 13 year old Labradoodle is another story. He's a plus sized model but I don't let him know he has love handles... (I'm sure they were dreading my dog after the cat) but remained professional and so sweet! Next they assisted (by that I mean carried my 80+ boy) into the van and got to work. My boy came out the van smiling and wagging his tail! The boy and couldn't wait to show off his new haircut. He smells so great now and is so clean. I found their prices absolutely fair and very reasonable. They did not charge for the full service for the cat since they had to stop the service. I was very excited to have my pet go to Samys grooming, considering the positive Google Reviews. However, I did not have a positive experience. The groomer cut my dog during the grooming and did not let me know after the grooming. I contacted Samys grooming afterwards and their response (pasted below) was rude, unprofessional, and callous. My dog had to go to the emergency vet after the groom for stitches and to Samys grooming it was "a pity for the inconvenience." I do not recommend Samys Mobile Grooming. They will not take care of your pet like it's their own. Response I received from Samys Mobile Grooming after asking about my dog: "The groomer tells me the following: The wound was made by opening the knots that were stuck to the dog's ears, but it wasn't a cut, and it only bled a little, the groomer cleaned it up, and since it didn't continue bleeding, I left it that way and it was I forgot to mention sorry, it must be that the puppy scratched and opened the wound, what a pity for the inconvenience."​ read more

Amazing pet grooming. They are everything the website says and more. We have a 23 to 25 pound Maine coon cat who looks like a huge raccoon. They didn't amazing job with him giving him the best summer cut he's ever had. They are extremely caring careful and very easy to communicate with and listened to everything we wanted and any concerns we had. Sometimes he would come back from other grooming places looking like a sad poodle bc they did not listen to us. That is not the case here they gave him a beautiful cut trimmed his nails and bathed him right in the driveway in their well equipped professional mobile grooming van. I would say the most important part is he wasn't stressed and completely freaked out for a week afterwards he came right back in the house and was himself. Whatever they do in that Van is magic. I can't say enough good things about the people and the services they provided it's extremely difficult it's fine good groomers for cats if if you can find one at all. And for him not to be stressed out and looking like he went through hell all day is a great thing. The only downside is we are way outside their service area in Jamaica Plain but the came on a Friday afternoon at 4 o'clock in traffic and spent over an hour making him look great. When I asked them if I was going to see them again they said probably not because it was so far away. I totally get that however they will see us again we have friends that live down closer to them and we will bring him with us so he can be groomed by them again because it's worth every penny and peace of mind. I hesitate to say anything more because they will book up so quickly as they always do! We will do anything in our power to be able to get them to them for our next grooming. Thank you to the amazing women that drove all the way here and treated him so well. He even came in the house with a handsome little bowtie to top off a great experience!! read more

I am so happy I found a great groomer with Samy's Pets!!! I just had my first appt for my 2 15yr old Malteses, one of which is special needs. Maria was FABULOUS she was so sweet and gentle with my little guys! I loved that they were able to come to my house (I can't even get a pizza delivered over here as I live in the woods of Exeter) and did the grooming right inside a brand new sprinter van they turned into a full professional grooming salon on wheels! It was so cool, way nicer and cleaner than any grooming salon I've been to (and trust me I've been to a lot)! I felt SO much more comfortable and at ease having my little guys getting individual attention groomed right outside my home in a peaceful environment rather than dropping them off at the groomer with other dogs for hours. They are the absolute best! Great people who do an excellent job. I've always had huskies and this was one of the best grooms my dog has ever had. I also have a very afraid, fear aggressive rescue dog who was previously abused and neglected. They were so great with her! Her attitude after being groomed by them was so different in a good way than after any other grooming. She was happy and relaxed. Plus they were able to do her nails without stressing her. No other groomer has ever been able to do them. Usually the vet has to with a sedative. She allowed them which is totally amazing! read more

I have 4 cats. One female & 3 males. The female is long-haired. I asked the 2 groomers while she was groomed to remove her mats, including clipping & brushing. Her nails were also trimmed. The 3 other cats' nails were also trimmed which I paid $ 15 per cat. I paid almost $ 200 for this service. My female cat was returned to me from the 2 mobile groomers with mats in her fur, & only very little of her rear end clipped. The groomer told me she was very aggressive & wouldn't allow the 2 groomers to dry her. I am very dissatisfied & disappointed that my female cat still has mats & was unclipped. I will not use Samy's again. It seemed that the groomers (who arrived in an unbranded white van with a # 2 label on the rear & Florida license plates,) didn't know what they were doing &/or didn't understand what I was telling them (as English is not their first language), but they happily took my cash payment plus generous cash tips. read more

My older cat Doodles who never goes outside was so very frightened when we brought her outside to Samy's mobile van. Samy gently took her and calmly placed her on the table. My cat looked at me with big sad eyes as I left her, which broke my heart. Doodles's back end was so matted. Although we brush her, she has a difficult time reaching back to clean herself. Samy bathed and shaved her and also cleaned her ears and eyes. I can tell that Doodles feels so much better now. Samy and her helper took such wonderful care of Doodles and provided much needed attention to her matted fur. They both made this experience a most positive one.
