We were free to pass if we did not see any we liked. My son and daughter fell in love with a blue bicolor and a blue mitted ragdoll. After selection, we received updates until our pickup day. We brought them home and they acclimated quickly. Since day 1, they have slept with us and have not woken us up! They have been a delight. They have the best personalities - One is very outgoing and wants to explore everything. The other loves taking stuffed animals from the kids and playing with them. They both love each other and keep on trying to become friends with our grumpy old cat. They are happy to meet any friends that my kids have over - even very loud, hyper kids. They have brought so much joy to our family. Bette continues to be a great resource - I text her questions I may have. She loves receiving pictures and updates on the kittens.

It's amazing to me how so many of the animals can roam freely and not get into conflict with one another. We saw cats, donkeys, horses, goats, llamas, chickens, peacocks, a tortoise, and more! There were a lot of cats so if you are a cat lover, you will definitely love this place! There was one cat, Velcro, who wanted me to hold him for like 15 mins while I walked around the sanctuary! What a cutie ! The staff working here were all really nice and were happy to answer any questions we had. They seem to really care for their animals. The sanctuary does not accept credit cards so be sure to bring cash or a check. They have a little parking lot that probably fits about 6-7 cars.

The entrance was a little hard to find but there was someone standing there to guide you in. There are a lot of sings that say "do not enter" so be wary! STAFF: All of the staff was VERY welcoming and friendly. The staff member at the front gave us a rundown of the rules and told us we can roam around freely. We went for the autumn festival which was just a scavenger hunt. The staff helped us around with the clues and introduced a few of the animals to us. ANIMALS: We were greeted by Velcro - one of the friendliest cats I met. We also saw Jack, the resident dog, sniffing around. The animals all have very interesting but sad backstories - it's great that they ended up here at Winslow Farm. Some of the animals are kept away from the guests but you are allowed to pet! Many roam around freely! GUESTS: We visited on a Saturday afternoon and didn't see too many other guests - the staff probably outnumbered the guests. I did witness some boys chase around some ducks and geese. If you bring your kids here, just be alert and parent. This is their home and you're the guest - kids will be kids but also teach them to respect the animals' space. PRICES: The admission goes towards feeding and maintaining care for these animals so it all goes towards a good cause. Overall, I respect the farm's mission and I think it's a great place for everyone to learn about the animals. lol

We found the process extensive which is better than just giving dog away so we were ok with this…read more Our problem is that they listed the dog being in not only the same state as us but also the same town as we lived in. Once selected to be able to adopt we were then told our dog was in another state and two hours away from us. Which we did go ahead and adopt but found that all the vaccines were done in an order that made them no longer affective so we had to do all vaccines ourselves. It also seemed to be listed as if our dog had been micro chipped but he was not. Also seems weird that they had several puppies rescued at the same time but didn't know who the mother was which makes me nervous that this could potentially be a dog mill rescue. I also had another friend try and adopt a sibling of our dog where a date and time was set up for the zoom home inspection only to have the person never call for the zoom and never again contacted to reschedule. When my friend asked about this they were told another family had adopted the dog. This seems wrong to do this to someone who took the tone off from work to do a home inspection only to never be contacted to say this had been canceled. This was not even the first step he had already got three references interviewed and and an over the phone interview and vet contacted from previous dogs history and was now just waiting to have the home inspection thru a zoom call never be call again until he reached out to the rescue to see why no one had contacted him at the set time to be then told the dog had been adopted by someone else. This was heartbreaking not only to the guy apply for the dog but to me as someone who had referred him to this company to only have this happen. We lived close by and could have had sibling doggy play dates. Very disappointed.
