Summer of 2025 I lost my last 'best' cat to a stroke, and quickly realized the house was too quiet. I had reached my maximum cat count at the onset of Covid with a 'please can you take ...' call from a tech in Millis. But in the years since I'd slowly lost my most attentive cats to age related maladies. Now I was left with just three - the Millis girl, and a brother/sister pair about 12 years old. All great cats, but none particularly people oriented. In the past the 'Cat Distribution System' has always routed creatures in need to my doorstep, but now I realized I'd have to take charge of filling the void. Web research led me to Ragdolls, and reviewing what I could find online led me to Willette Ragdoll. Bette's website answers every question you can imagine about ragdolls and cats in general. I interpreted the waiting list as a good sign, steeled myself for the wait and gave a call. Bette is very easy to talk with, she explained procedure is to mail a form and a deposit and that gets you on the list. The first point I'd like to make about contacting Bette - she gets right back to you. Always. Never an excuse. And she follows through. I mailed my deposit and the day she received it she confirmed receipt and that I was now on the list. "Welcome to the Family!" were her words. Bette posts updates on her Facebook page, which I'd check daily. Actually I checked them more often than daily, but we'll stick with daily. Reading some of her Facebook reviews I saw parents mentioning getting two kittens, and I quickly realized I'd made a mistake and needed to up my request to a pair. Contact Bette, she agrees, not a problem. Back to passing the time. Fast forward to Kitten Picking time - Bette sends you a clip of kittens available as your turn comes up. All white at birth, how she knows the color and markings from the faint hints, must be magic - all that experience I guess. She keeps you in the loop with updates as your little ones mature. Then their neutering dates and go home dates are scheduled. At pickup, which was late January 2026 for me, you get an information packet for each kitten and a food and care package. Once again Bette has all the details in place. Microchip registration form and Breeders Slip for TICA registration transfer. Bette has registered the birth of the litters. The whole experience demonstrates Bette's level of detail and determination to have everything just as it should be. These are now registered ragdolls, with full genealogy easily traced back for generations. Now, about the kittens. Lovely, healthy, gentle, absolutely engaged with people. Unless sleeping, which happens quite a bit, they'll follow you around. Watching tv - they are there. Mealtime, they are in the kitchen. Bed time, up we go. And they are sweet with my other three, well two really, Millis cat is taking her time a bit. They play with my two special needs cats very gently. In summary, absolutely worth the wait. These two kittens are lovely, and growing quickly. At ten months old, one is 10.5# and the other is 13#. The coats are amazing, I've had no matting and they are soft like bunny fur. First thing each morning they wash each others faces and necks, at the same time. It's quite a sight, and often transitions to a bite and wrestle match. I recommend Willette Ragdoll with full confidence, her knowledge and her responsiveness are 10 out of 10. read more

We wholeheartedly recommend getting your kitten from Bette! We have had the absolute best experience from start to finish, and we already know we'll be back for a second (hopefully soon...). Our experience with Bette started when we called her to get added to the waiting list, and right away, her passion for her ragdolls and her knowledge and experience were so clear. Throughout the months we waited for our own, she was always in touch, sending updates and answering all of our many questions. By the time it was finally our turn to choose our kitten, it was such a difficult choice because they were all so precious. Bette kept reassuring us that there was no wrong choice because every one of her kittens is special, and now we completely understand what she meant. Once we chose Scooter, she sent us countless pictures and videos so we could watch our sweet boy grow. She also gave much guidance on preparing us to bring him home. After 9 months of waiting since joining the waitlist, we finally got to bring our boy home, and he could not have been more worth the wait. He is the absolute sweetest kitten and the perfect balance of calm, playful, confident, curious, and cuddly. Even bringing him home was easier than we could have hoped. He slept for the entire hour-and-a-half car ride and, once we got home, quickly started exploring and playing. And of course, we have to mention that he is absolutely beautiful!! I did not know a kitten could be so soft and have eyes so blue. We truly could not be happier with Scooter or with the entire experience of getting him. It is so obvious how much time, care, and love Bette puts into raising her kittens, and we feel incredibly lucky to have one of them. Thank you so much Bette for giving us our dream kitten. We already love Scooter more than we can say, and we already cannot wait to get him a sibling! read more

We had such a wonderful experience getting our kitten from Bette! From the very beginning, she was incredibly caring, knowledgeable, and helpful. You can truly tell how much love and dedication she puts into raising her kittens. Our kitten has the sweetest temperament -- affectionate, playful, gentle, and very well-adjusted. It was clear from the moment we brought them home that they had been given lots of love, attention, and socialization. One of the things that really stood out to us was the communication throughout the waiting period. Bette kept us updated with photos, information, and guidance, which made us feel connected and reassured while we waited to bring our kitten home. Even after bringing our kitten home, Bette has continued to be an incredible resource. She is always willing to answer questions and provide advice, and knowing that she offers lifetime support gives us so much peace of mind. We couldn't be happier with our kitten or with our experience. Bette genuinely cares about her cats and the families they go to, and that really shows. We are so grateful to have found her and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a loving, responsible, and knowledgeable breeder! read more

We had an absolutely wonderful experience working with Willetteragdol! We purchased three of our girls from them: Azalea, Magnolia, and Willow. The entire process--from initial communication to bringing the kittens home--was seamless, transparent, and incredibly professional. The level of care and intention behind their breeding program is exceptional. They prioritize the health of their kings and queens and are one of the most ethical breeders in the United States. Their cats are not only beautiful, but they have wonderful temperaments--calm, affectionate, and well-socialized, which was especially important to us as a family with young children. You can truly tell these kittens are raised in a loving environment. Bette is SO very knowledgeable and generous with her time, answering any of our questions and helping us feel confident as we brought them home. The health, structure, and quality of our girls have exceeded our expectations, and we are forever grateful for Willetteragdol. We would highly recommend Willetteragdol to anyone looking for a well-bred, healthy, and truly special ragdoll kitten. Our lives are forever changed because of them! read more

My husband Brock and I adopted two beautiful Ragdoll kittens from Willetteragdo, Betty a.k.a Bett was absolutely amazing to work with. Bett, actually takes the time to know her kittens future parents. Bett is one of the few breeders you can reach by phone. Most breeders want to email. I am not spending money on kittens whose breeders only communicate via email. Bett, loves the breed so very much. Her knowledge is so expensive, and she provides you with so much information beforehand. Example: Did you know Ragdoll kittens can get chin ache from drinking out of plastic bowls?? Bett, also provides weekly photos of your kitten / kittens. I felt bonded to my babies from photo 1. This is just the tip of the iceberg as to the knowledge she provides on her parents. After the adoption, Bett is available. I called her many times with questions or just to tell her how well the kittens are doing. Honestly, yes there is a wait. Is it worth it, Hell YES!!!!!! My relationship with Bett, went from a transitional relationship to a friend. I feel blessed!!!! Willetteragdol is definitely far and above other breeders Talk to her & see for yourself. read more

I would absolutely recommend Willette Ragdolls. From the very first phone call, you can tell how much Bette and Rick genuinely care about their cats and their clients. Their attention to detail, knowledge, guidance, and support throughout the entire process were outstanding. Bette kept me well-informed every step of the way and was always transparent about finding the right kitten for me. Pickup was smooth, organized, and professional, and I felt completely prepared to bring my kitten home. Louie is now home and has settled in wonderfully. He is healthy, alert, intelligent, playful, loving, and EXTREMELY well-socialized. He is confident, curious, affectionate, and has adjusted to his new home better than I ever could have imagined. I have truly never met a cat like him, and I think that speaks volumes about the care and effort Bette and Rick put into raising their kittens. I could not be happier with Louie or my experience with Willette Ragdolls, and I would recommend them without hesitation. read more

In terms of how impressed you will be with WilletteRagdoll compared to any other Ragdoll cattery -- well, it's the difference between lightning and a lightning-bug, to paraphrase a famous remark of Mark Twain. These kittens are perfect: confident, affectionate, and curious. They made themselves right at home upon arrival in our house. I can't take my eyes off of them, as they are exemplars of the Ragdoll breed, with ideal form and markings, truly beauties. Healthy and robust. It will be a great loss to the American Ragdoll community when Bette and Rick retire. It's such an honor and a delight to be able to have two of their wonderful kittens, and I am grateful to them for the meticulous care, knowledge, and love they invest in every one of their kittens. Truly the best you can find. read more

We couldn't be happier with our kitten, Georgie, from Bette. She is so well socialized, and settled right into our family within a few days of bringing her home. She is curled up beside me right now :) We are picking up her half-sister in just over a week and we feel so lucky to have two kittens from Wiletteragdol. We have owned Ragdolls for 18 years (our two older girls sadly passed within the last year), so we know how lovely the breed is, but Bette is by far the most knowledgeable and responsible breeder we have worked with. It is clear that she cares deeply about the breed and every kitten that she raises. Georgie has already brought us so much joy. We are totally in love with her and can't wait to welcome Evie into our home very soon! read more

Just brought home our third Willetteragdol and could not be happier. Bette is an experienced breeder who always puts her cats' welfare first. She's also just an incredibly good and generous person. We became friends when we purchased our two older kitties six years ago and have kept in touch by phone and text ever since. Our newest kitten is an absolute dream -- beautifully socialized, fearless, gorgeous boy. This isn't just a coincidence; it's because Bette and her family raise their kittens in their home and shower each one with love. We could not be more pleased and are so happy to have this new little guy in our family. read more

An exceptional breeder! From the moment I contacted Bette, I knew right away how much love, time and effort she puts into her cattery. Bette answered every question and continues to support me as I have adopted one of her gorgeous retired queens! Prior to adopting her, Bette kept me updated on her, sending photos and videos. She never hesitated to respond to my many questions as a first time cat owner. I have now decided to return to be put on the waiting list for a kitten! The wait will be worth it! There's no other breeder I'd go to or recommend... she's simply the best! Her experience and knowledge on this breed is exceptional. read more

Back in 2019 I connected with Willetteragdol unfortunately because of my experience with a horrible breeder, lost my six month old beloved Oliver. I didn't want to wait six months for a Willetteragdol. Please learn from me. The wait is worth it. I have had Isabella since January of 2020. she's gorgeous and an angel (except at 3am lol). Willetteragdol is a wonderful breeder. They are cared for in an immaculate house. no cages. This is the best breeder I have ever been to. Their babies are GORGEOUS! read more
