The first location (6101 a1a), in my opinion, is truly doing their best. They are limited on funding and help. And perhaps a little unorthodox, but they seem to care about the doggies (didn't drop off kitty litter here as they only have dogs at this location) and they will talk to you happily about any dog you look at. Be patient with them and they will be helpful with you. The second location(1250 a1a) , however, .... where to start. It has a thrift store in the front but there are animals there to adopt. Many in fact. When I walked in with my donations I was ignored. I followed a woman and asked her where to put my animal donations (not thrift store donations) she seemed annoyed. She waved her hand in a general direction and said "that way" I went "that way" and ended up outside where another unhappy woman asked me what I wanted. I said I had cat litter and blankets. She said "put it on the stairs, doubt we will use the blankets" .... I was a little stunned at this point. But still wanted to see the dogs. My group and I were once again waved to a general direction, ended up around back, had to find the dogs on our own, and no one was there to talk about the dogs to us. Also, it was at this point that when we entered we quickly discovered a dog to be VERY aggressive. Now, who knows what this poor baby has been through, but his aggression was working up most of the other dogs. Very much. Everyone else quickly left the room. I refused to. (I always try to get pics of pups to send to people I think might give them a good home or post on FB with my fingers crossed) By staying I discovered 4 dogs immediately that were so loving that even with all of the barking and chaos they were just sweet and lovey. Which no one else got to see. One dog picked up her toy as soon as she saw me and got excited. I knew she was sick but was curious about her temperament with other dogs to help me find her a foster mom. A woman walked in and told me Mater (a different but SUPER LOVING dog) was a sweetie. I agreed. Then asked about the other sweetheart, her reply: oh, she has cancer. *shrugs shoulders and leaves the room* ..... WTF??? I know shes sick I wanted to know more to try to find her a loving home at least for the rest of her days. But NO ONE WOULD TALK TO ME!!! I left very upset. But this is where I tell anyone and everyone, please PLEASE don't let bad attitudes and loud barking keep you from meeting a wonderful potential new part of your life. These dogs need love. One of them held his head to the cage so I could pet him!! But no one else was walking in there. Also, I believe this place represents a very good cause. I still believe in donating to them and helping fur babies. But I'm warning you, this location is unpleasant, move past that to the animals and just love something that can't wait to love you. Should the owner read this, I thank you for your cause, but bad attitudes and being ignored does not get dogs adopted. Talk to your employees and volunteers. Please!! ??

My family recently adopted a black smoke Maine Coon kitten from them, and we couldn't be happier. From the moment we brought her home, she has been incredibly loving, gentle, and social -- especially with our little kids. It's clear she was well cared for and properly socialized. She also came already litter-box trained, which made the transition so easy. Her personality is exactly what we hoped for in a Maine Coon: sweet, curious, and affectionate. Karma Dog Training is a MUST for puppy owners! I went through their puppy kindergarten with my…read morelittle beagle (an infamously stubborn, difficult to train breed) and it was absolutely wonderful! It has really established Chloe's basics that I otherwise would have had a very hard time teaching her on my own. In fact, I am planning on continuing training with Karma Dog and enrolling my pup in their basic/intermediate classes. I have to talk about how great the trainers are. They do a stellar job of teaching each week's lesson and will give you individual attention if you and your puppy are struggling with the command. During the puppy socialization time trainers are able to answer questions about how to deal with little antics you are experiencing with your puppy. They are SO knowledgeable about all different breeds and behaviors. It was so comforting to know that there were people that I saw once a week that I could get advice from that was best for my pup AND worked!! Much of the advice you read on the internet on behavioral corrections is very punishment based. Karma is all about positive reinforcement and building a relationship of trust with your dog, which I love. I love that my little Chloe was able to start being socialized at such a young age in a clean, sanitized, safe environment with other puppies her size. They do such a wonderful job of sanitizing and keeping the area clean that I NEVER worried about her contracting anything after I saw the precautions taken. Socialization is so important and Karma does a great job of making sure that the puppies are gaining that skill by allotting a good portion of the session to it while still getting in a great lesson. Not to mention watching a room full of puppies play is just adorable. Karma Dog is also extremely accommodating. They will allow you to make up any missed classes or even re-take a class if you feel like you and your pup need a refresher on that lesson!! You also get access to an online portal of training material that is great! I seriously cannot say enough great things about Karma Dog Training!! I couldn't be more pleased with the results!!

After doing tons of research on the breed, I wanted to make sure I started off on the right foot. I decided to put him into socialization & training right away. I absolutely loved the style of the puppy kinder garden classes. There was a great mix of training and socialization throughout each class. During the puppy socialization parts, I was able to ask the trainers any questions that came up in-between classes. Puppies can be very difficult, and training can be tricky but Karma Dog gave me the peace of mind I needed to know I could do it. With their help, I was able to gain the confidence to teach my puppy the basics: sit, leave it (my favorite), stay, go-to-bed, how to not bite me like a zombie maniac, and a handful of other helpful commands. I will definitely be continuing the rest of the courses they have to offer! One more rid bit of information I think you yelpers would find useful. For almost a month, I believed my puppy was starting to have separation anxiety, crying in his crate NONSTOP. I was horrified. I work full time and didn't know what I could do to fix the sitaution. I called Karma Dog and ended up speaking to the owner Jeff. He was able to calm my nerves and it was an eye-opening and amazing conversation. I under that theyre puppies so they have accidents but the kennels were FILTHY. I genuinely pray people stop buying their pets from here just so they stop selling those poor babies. Awful atmosphere, disgusting behavior by employees, and poor enviorment for the puppies.

She came with 2 rounds of shots already and all of her papers. The staff was great too and I was able to tell that that really love their puppies. The stud, Stumpy, doesn't have to wear a diaper like most male breeding cats. He has his own lanai with a big cat wheel he runs on delightedly. All in all, Terri impressed us with her cattery. As Sphinx owners, we have purchased from several breeders up north already. This place was remarkable in its cleanliness and care for the cats. We can't wait till the next batch of kittens is born and we can select our new baby! Call Terri if a Sphinx is your dream cat!
