One of the worst veterinary experiences ever! We recently brought our 5-month-old puppy here to be spayed per an adoption agreement & will never be back. When we dropped our puppy off, we felt very rushed & that it was an "in & out" style vet where they don't truly care for the animals. We asked for our puppies nails to be trimmed, in addition to the spay & for a distemper shot & Lepto shot. After the receptionist checked us in, she went through the paperwork. She informed us that we'd have to get our pup a cone, which we knew, but that she wouldn't charge us for it because we were already paying for the services & we appreciated the gesture. She told us that they would call us once our pup was out of surgery to tell us how she did & when we could pick her up. We dropped her off at 8:15 in the morning.. by 4:00 in the afternoon, we still hadn't heard a WORD from Titan, so we had to call them. Their response... after being on hold for over 10 minutes.. "yeah she did fine, you can pick her up at 5:30." Oh ok.. thanks for letting us know! We arrived at Titan around 5:00 & went through the whole check-out process. We had a different receptionist checking us out who charged us for a Lyme shot... I told her we didn't ask for that & she said they gave it to her anyways. That's the first red flag. Then, she says we have to pay an additional cost for the cone.. we told her what the AM receptionist said to us & her response was "I don't know what she would say that... you have to pay for it." Obviously we're not going to say no if that's what our puppy needs. A few minutes later, our puppy was physically carried out by a vet tech & my heart dropped. My happy, energetic puppy that I dropped off in the morning looked like she was dead. She was stiff as a board, tongue hanging out of her mouth with her eyes glazed over! We immediately started to panic, along with other people in the waiting room & the vet tech calmly said "her gums are pink, so she's fine. I wouldn't let her go home if she wasn't." We asked what time her surgery was done.. their response? 3:00. 3:00?! Our dog had major abdominal surgery & you're handing her back over to us 2 1/2 hours later?! When I dropped her off at 8:15 in the morning?! We were outraged & panic stricken carrying our poor puppy out to the car. We took a look at her nails & they looked like a hack job where half of them weren't even cut. We took her home & couldn't get her to eat, drink, stand up or keep her eyes focused. I tried to call Titan, but of course they were closed with no answering machine. We had to take her for an emergency visit to our regular vet, which made us even more uneasy. They explained to us that they reviewed all of our puppies discharge paperwork & were concerned about a few things.. one in particular being the prescriptions they provided us with. They said based off of our puppies weight & the dosages they were suggesting, we were potentially going to be OVERDOSING our dog. We had to change the dosages, give her an injection to wean her off of the drugs they gave her at Titan & give her a fluid treatment because she was dehydrated. I called Titan the next day & said I wanted ALL records of what they did to our dog, including vaccinations due to the Lyme shot mishap. Low & behold, they never even gave her the Lyme vaccination & it was a "mistake" we needed to refunded for. How do you mistake something like that? All in all, MAJOR disappointment & extremely stressful as puppy parents. If it weren't for our adoption agreement, we would've never stepped foot in this place. read more
