Dangerous, aggressive driving. At 4:30 PM today, the driver of this fully wrapped Ford Titan Construction truck tailgated me aggressively on Galena Road heading toward Route 47. They were riding my bumper so closely that it was incredibly unsafe, forcing me to pull over completely to let them pass. The vehicle had Illinois license plate number 3644633. If this is how your employees behave in clearly marked company vehicles, it shows a complete lack of safety and regard for the community. read more

Memorial Day storm of 2019 hit us hard. Titan was there next day around the neighborhood soliciting business. They promised us that they would do everything, roof, painting, gutters, deck and fence staining and garage door and window work. They told us to leave it to them to work with the insurance company. After many months, all they did was the roof. Kept putting us off and coming up with excuses. I got an attorney to let them know we were canceling the contract and they refused certified mail from him. The roof, I must admit, looks great and was done well but I would never suggest anyone to fall for their tricks especially now since our city has been hit again. This company replaced my roof. The cost was almost $20,000. Although my contract stated that new plywood would be installed prior to roof installation, this was not done on the front porch roof. When I called multiple times about this I received no response. When the company was laying the new shingles they were very obviously being put down crooked. My husband had to argue with them to correct the mistake. After that, the owner would always say to us that if he makes a mistake or something is not right he will stand by his work and always come back to correct it. But they did not respond to multiple calls when we discovered that *plywood was not installed per the contract on the front porch roof.* When this company was doing the roof, they didn't clean up one night, leaving old shingles and debris all over my neighbor's driveway. Then they were late the next morning and my husband had to clean up the mess so our neighbor could have access to their driveway. read more

Titan did my roof and siding on my house. Loved the look but there were a couple minor issues that needed to be addressed immediately . Titan came out and fixed the problem but charged me for a repair of a $1055.00. this should of been fixed at no charge since it was part of the original installation. I refuse to pay so now they won't warranty there work plus taking further action against me for the money. Titan is so wrong for charging me extra for there error in the first installation. We hired Titan in August of 2019. They were recommended by a few people on FB and they did a friend's roof. Well, we just fired them yesterday. There was lack of communication and deceptive practice too. We were given the run around with the install date. Nathan, our sales person, lacked skills in customer service. After waiting so long for them to do our home - siding and roof - we finally fired them when they wanted us to sign a third party's recurring credit card authorization form. Said form would be for us to pay for our material and would allow the third party to charge our credit card periodically. A lot of things were not mentioned to us, but the latter is unethical. I had to give them one star in order to comment, but in reality, they don't deserve that either. read more

The lack of follow up was unacceptable. I needed roof repair, interior painting and new gutters. After 4 weeks I finally got my roof repaired, I'm still waiting for an estimate for the painting and gutters. Also I need a detailed receipt for the roof repair to send to my insurance. Their answer was they don't deal with insurance. Funny their sales person (inspector) mislead me as he said they would take care of the insurance company with no cost to me. I got a contract that quoted it would cost me 20% of any money they got from insurance. Well, which is it? They talk out of both sides of their mouth. Stay away. read more

These guys are great! They just replaced our roof, replaced a skylight, replaced some siding that had failed due to age and damage, and replaced some of our downspouts that were not performing very well. They did fantastic work. The new roof looks great! The siding repairs came out really good. And the new, larger downspouts work well. They stand behind their work, and as far as price they were very reasonable. Also the cleanup crew was amazing. I would like to first Thank Titan for fixing my Roof problem. It was unfortunate that I've had this problem a year ago where the water was somehow leaking on the walls and I called 2 professional roofers and paid both of them which as you can see one didn't fix the problem so i called another one and the 2nd didn't fix the problem either. Finally I called Titan and they sent someone out to look at the problem and figure it out right away which was not a gutter issue. Can't stress enough how much I regret allowing this company to work on my home. We purchased a roof from this company and we have had nothing but problems. We have an old house, and the crew needed to cut stucco near the roofline. Instead of using the correct saw to cut stucco, they just started smashing our stucco with no regard to what they were doing. Not only did they destroy our siding, they could have warned us before they started ripping my house apart that they may have an issue with the stucco. I've had to have several companies come out to look at the damage and will have to pay around 4500 dollars to fix what they destroyed. Not only did they do a terrible job in that regard, but they did absolutely garbage quality work on the roof. We have had to have them come back numerous times to patch and repair careless mistakes made. Sometimes they would stop by unannounced and in an unmarked work van, for me to wake up and find strange men on my roof outside my bedroom with no notice. I had someone from this organization knock on mt door. they said they were doing work on a neighbors house and they wanted to know if I needed any work or remodeling done. The person went on and on about windows and doors and siding and roofs and concrete... they can do a lot of work. so I thought about it, and I said... Follow me... We went to a part of the house where I needed some patio work done... i.e. concrete... or Patio block install... He said he will be back tomorrow for a "Free Quote"... ok... Cool. and by the way.. I had to ask for a business card... before he left... WTF Next day I got a call from a person to verify coming over for the Free quote... After waiting for quite a while, some guy comes over (that I've never met) came over to discuss what I wanted done. so I pointed to what I wanted done for the Patio... He took 3 seconds to look and asked me... "is their anything else we can do for you?... Replacement windows, siding, ...? I said no. He finally saids..."This job is too small... I'm sorry". and turned around and left. WTF! don't you people want work? DON'T come to my home and try to sell me windows and / or doors / or siding ( on my Brick house ) and then you blow me off with a Job that's too small... Screw you... Waste of time and shady business practices. I called this company as I knew they were local and one of the employees coached my daughter a few years back, so I knew the name. As soon as the salesman Tim found out I was going through StateFarm, he danced around why he couldn't give me a formal estimate. Advised that my adjuster left off a few things, that my wood was not up to code and would need to be replaced. I gave them a deposit as I thought they were a top grade company. Month later roof still not instslled, I had to dig up code info to find out he wasn't completely honest. I asked for window estimate 3 times they didn't come out until I called the office. Asked for estimate on some code upgrades to my garage that I knew would not be covered..never received. Tim came to my house to take some pictures in my attic, then advises me that he thinks I have two layers of wood and that one layer is to code and we might have a problem. I tell him I've been waiting a month I advised him the week prior that if I had to pay for wood then I had to pay schedule it. He then tells me he thinks he wants out of the deal and would get my money back.What....both of my neighbors have had thier roofs installed already by other companies in this time frame. Lester the owner calls, apolijized for his salesman , asked if he could come and give me a formal quote and work through this with me. I say fine, he doesn't show up. He sends an office employee to my home with a check for my deposit. Classy A One business when even the owner does not stand behind his company. Oh and when the salesman came to my home to finally go into the attic he smelled like liquor. Granted it was just before 6, so maybe the appt he had before mine involved drinks. read more

We weren't sure what color roof to get and he gave us the addresses of homes that had the roof color we were looking at so that we could see what it was like. PLEASE , PLEASE think hard before you put your trust into this company . We have to replace part of our roof that Titan Construction put on in 2008 that's going to cost us approximately $2500 maybe more . After WE pay for a total tear off of this large section of the roof ( we had a total tear off in 2008) we still need to call a MOLD expert out to remediate the rest . We have such extensive MOLD that we were told by other companies that it looks like we had a fire in our attic and TItan should " do the right thing and replace at no charge as this is their fault" . They replaced at no charge a skylight they put in the same day the roof was installed ( 2008) that was LEAKING because "the flashing wasn't put in right " It was still under the 10 year warranty !! The MOLD could be from the leaky skylight we don't know ! But we do know for sure that it's from poor ventilation , they claim that they are "NOT ventilation experts or MOLD experts and they just put the roof on how it is originally done and we don't look in anyones attic before we replace , and we don't look at soffit vents or if more mushrooms vents are needed , that's not industry standard " They claim on their Facebook page that they are ventilation experts , trust me they are NOT!! Why would anyone let Titan touch their home on ANY project ?? It may look pretty but just wait , something will happen and they don't stand behind their work !! They care about the money !!! Their solution was to add more mushroom vents , soffit vents , baffles and PAINT over this mold that has gone through 2 parts of a 3 part plywood !! Which is admitting that it their fault!!!!! We got a proposal of approx $ 1400. Why did they not realize the extend of the damage of the mold you ask??? Because the wanted to sell us approximately $13,000 in windows !!!! We would NOT pass INSPECTION when it would be time to sell , titan DOESN'T care !! The owner came out to our home and looked at it and LIED and said " we will take responsibility and cover 90% of the cost " the next thing we hear is from their LAWYER , which they have one on retainer which should also make you think long and hard before you put your trust into this company , they must have lots of problems to have a lawyer on hand!!! He said he is a "mediator " but then proceeds to tell me that he's their lawyer . After speaking with him he said he would talk to Titan , after about a week we got a letter from Titan stating that " we don't feel we are the direct cause of the mold issue. There may be ventilation issues we did give solutions for to help with air movement in the attic. We installed a new roof IDENTICAL to the OLD existing roof , only difference is we installed a Architectural shingle. The moister ( their misspelling) problem and ventilation isn't resulting in the roof install " THEY WONT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY , Or even meet us halfway to resolve this MOLD ! They don't even look into your attic before they install your roof , they say that's not industry standard !! I don't want to even give it one star!! read more

I got a salt and pepper shingle and they put black vents, thought they were going to be silver, great surprise!! Work was done on time and very well done!! Did I mention the clean up was awesome!!! 6 months after the new roof is installed, I come home to water pouring into my house. The water traveled down the entire south wall of my home from the 2nd floor, to the first floor, and into the basement. We had water damage in 6 rooms, both ceilings and walls. I hope I got your attention! I paid MORE to Titan Construction to install my roof as I wanted my old roof to be properly ventilated to ensure a full warranty and long life of my roof. Since I don't have soffits, venting is an issue and they proposed a solution. The venting solution was installed incorrectly and 6 months later, an ice damn caused water backup and my massive flood. At first Titan was responsive. They removed the improperly installed venting and fixed the water damage. But when I asked for new venting to be installed, to replace what they took out, they stopped returning my calls and emails. Over the course of 8 months, I called 20 times and sent over 20 emails to various contacts. So now I have roof with no ventilation. This means higher utility bills, shorter roof life, a voided warranty, and issues with moisture on the 2nd floor of our home (mold, dry wall warping, etc). read more

I had contracted TCE to reroof my house, reside my house, tear down my old garage and build a new one. They were suppose to get all building permits. They did not. County came out AFTER they tore down my garage and stopped everything. After several months of haggling with the county, I finally had a new garage built by a different contractor. But the story doesn't end there. Clean up? I saw a review stating they were excellent. Not in my case. I had nails in my shoes, car and motorcycle. ($$$). For 2 yrs I have picked up nails to the point where I dug up around the house and shifted everything. The roofing was good. TCE is a general contractor who hires various crews for various jobs. The crew that put siding on my house? Different story. I continue to have to nail or screw back up siding that falls off. I'm so glad I fired this contractor and hired another to build, roof and side my garage and put in a new concrete driveway. TCE owner a nice man but his siding people leave much to be desired. Quote for a roof repair was fast and the salesperson was good. The job got done in an okay amount of time. This would have earned Titan 4 or 5 stars, that's until the billing part happened. The job was completed about two months ago and I was waiting for a formal bill to come in the mail. It never happened. I get a phone call today from some shady "lawyer", Ben Narek that said that he's calling to collect a debt that I owed Titan. I call their local office and the billing person said that they mailed out multiple bills of which I've never received. This person also said (after I asked for a new bill to be mailed) that I had a week until this would have legal action taken, so I paid with credit. I'm not sure where the error was but I got a call from another Titan rep that left a message citing back the wrong house number and the invoice I got for my paid bill had the wrong zip code. I would watch their billing practices if you get work done by them. read more

Bill Dodge is a two-faced liar and does not understand how to treat a customer. If I could rate the company 1/100 of a star, I would. There were serious delays in providing estimates and some estimates were misquoted by 100%. For example, I was quoted a price for garage siding and when it came time to order the siding the actual price was nearly doubled. The owner, Leszek Gurgal, justified this miscommunication by saying "I'm a smart guy and should know better to get multiple estimates." Bill Dodge's ineptness and inability to communication created confusion for everyone involved in the process. Bill also failed to communicate to me that he contacted my insurance company regarding estimates for a roof repair without my authorization. Finally, after many weeks wasted, Titan informed me they were withdrawing their interest from my project. This news came nearly seven weeks after my roof was tarped and six weeks after the insurance adjuster provided me an estimate. It became apparent they were not interested in my "small" $6K job and indicated their $80K job, and other large jobs were going incredibly smooth. This company should be embarrassed for how they have handled this situation and homeowners should beware. read more
