This place is a joke. Don't waste your time. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. I've made an appointment twice at this dump and both times they screwed it up. Even though I got an email confirmation stating that I would get a phone call if they weren't going to have my tires in stock. Because they screwed me over last year, I kept checking my voicemail and email throughout the day to make sure they didn't call. I received nothing. So I show up 45 mins early and of course they don't have the tires. So I ask if they could at least patch it and they said no. They didn't have time. Even though I had an appointment. Can't ask for better service! The staff at this location really helped me out tremendously with my car and tire issue. I came in with a leaking tire and didn't know where it was coming from. Mark quickly diagnosed the issue and found the puncture site immediately after dipping the tire. Even showed me how. Ultimately, I purchased a new tire for the right back passenger side at a very reasonable price complete with installation. Mark, Jordan and the whole crew here are a pleasure with which to work. This location is isn't worth even going to anymore. I have been going to this location for a while and the last 3 times I have been in have been bad experiences. I will say, that the previous time (not the one for this review) was at least good customer service. I can't say the same anymore though. This is at the least the THIRD time that I have made an appt for an oil change and waited longer than 3 hours. This time was the last straw though and I hope the service writers/manager are both fired. This morning I had an appt at 8am for an oil change. There was ONE person in front of me. I literally described the previous experience of having to wait 3 hours (with an appt) to the service manager and he assured me that it wouldn't be that long and that I was next up after the woman who arrived prior to me. I come back at around 11 and see the lifts all full, but I was told that my vehicle hasn't been done yet. The man in the office didn't give 2 sh*ts and just shrugged his shoulders and said "I don't know, I just got here". So I waited for the "ever so professional" service manager who was the one that told me my vehicle was up next at 8am when I dropped it off. He proceeded to tell me "it's the day before thanksgiving". I truly would have understood that had I been a walk in, but i HAD AN APPT and he told me that I was literally the next one to be on the lift at 8am. When I pointed out that he told me mine was next on the lift 3 hours ago....he walked off and said "im not arguing with you". They don't give a sh*t about their customers and they don't give a sh*t about the customers time or money being wasted. We are just cattle being brought in and sent out one by one. Customer service or dependability is not something you will get when you go here. I took time off of work for this appt. I'm sure my one review wont really accomplish anything other than allow me to vent on what incompetent and unprofessional people work in the office here, but at least I get to say my piece. I will never go to this location again and if I can't find a better location than I will just have to cancel my account all together. OMG . Yea, this bad. Our air conditioner DIED!!! Here in Jacksonville, FL is definitely a must unless you're looking forward a heat STROKE The price went from $600. To 1,600.00. Almost a week before we got it back. Well, we got it back on Friday and it DIED that night with our air conditioner. We got the battery running enough to bring it back to the shop where they "FIX" what was wrong with our ac. So far the AC is ok but the battery is DEAD!!!! How? I went to Tires Plus to get two front tires on my car before going on a trip. The front door is a little difficult to find and the location is a weird corner spot that is a little awkward when you drive out. I was greeted when I walked in. The guy had my appointment in the books and they took my car back pretty quickly. At one point someone came out to tell me my tire had two nails and my battery was low. I thought that was weird because I had a new battery. Of course I don't know if there's a nail in my tire but I assumed they knew what they were talking about. Either way I asked them to fix the tires and told them I'd take my batter back to Auto Zone because it's under warranty. 45 minutes later my car was ready. The guy realized he made a mistake when he called me "Nicki" (that's not my name). I told him that isn't my name and he realized it wasn't my car that had nails in the tires or a bad battery. So there went that stress... There was a coffee machine but no coffee, so that was a bummer! I also asked them to check my spare tire and fill it up with air and they didn't. Normally my husband does it but i recently taken it to Kia Orange Park & they put the oil pan bolt back on so tight i didnt have a choice but the gut here at Tire Plus was very nice and didn't charge me for a full oil change because i had my own oil and filter..great service if i ever need help again I'll definitely come here. read more

If I can give it a zero I would. Told me my tire wasn't good. Needed a new one ($160) Went to Tire Depot on Cassatt Ave thanks to another person's recommendation. The owner Adam looked at my tire several times poured a blue liquid on it and water with soap. And nothing wrong with it. Strange when Tires Plus had said that my beading was torn in 18 different places. I know that the the kid at Tire Plus is doing his job by lying to customers. It's all about the sells. And I know he probably doesn't get compensated for selling tires (probably the manager and the owners do). Tire Depot was honest with me. Whatever wait time they give you add another hour to that! I understand waiting for a service but I hate when I'm told one thing and another thing happens. I've gone to this location three times now and everytime it's the same story. When I finally go up to pay, there is no acknowledgement of my extended wait time or an apology. I normally have to come back since they never finish the job the first time or something is wrong and I have to come back so that they can fix it. Went in to get my tire patched and once I got it back they had to re-patch it because they didn't do it right the first time. Went camping in NC the next day and the tire was flat again. Got it re-re-patched and they told us Tires Plus had just plugged it instead of patching... I could've gotten a plug from Walmart and done it myself. This is BS. Not worth it. read more

I had the worst experience a few weeks ago at this location. WARNING: if you're a young person who doesn't know much about cars, particularly a young woman (like me), I would avoid this shop. I went in for a routine oil change but asked them to look at my brakes because I heard squeaking noise. They said sure thing and took it in. They come back 45 minutes later telling me I NEED nearly $1,000 worth of repairs to my brakes because of "safety reasons" and "they were installed improperly" last time i had them fixed. They also tell me almost immediately that I could open a credit card account through Tires Plus, which would give me a special rate. I told them I don't want to do that and I can't afford to do those repairs at this time, despite their multiple warnings. I told them I'd go to the shop that supposedly installed them improperly (Pep Boys) and have them fix it. Pep Boys said nothing was wrong outside of a routine maintenance fix ($100 for labor and parts). Being the skeptic that I am, I went and got a third opinion from a trusted mechanic that's worked on my families cars for years. Nothing else was wrong with the brakes. This location tried to take advantage of me and I strongly suggest you get your car serviced elsewhere. Also wrote a complaint to main office, but local office has yet to acknowledge this issue. Would like to give them a 0 star. My daughter is traveling and asked me to assist in finding tire for her. Most tire stores had no hours for Sunday. So I call a few for her. Australian guy answers phone and I explain situation. He says he has no tire but another location does and gives the phone no. I repeat to verify phone no. and ask for address. Then I call and its a disconnected number. The address is not on the Tires Plus list of locations so I think it might be a new store. I call him back to get him to check the phone and he recognizes me and puts me on hold....... for over 10 mins. I call from my house phone while I'm on hold and it rings for several minutes and then he picks up, so I hang up house phone. Then he simply disconnects from my waiting call. Excellent service! Honest pricing and prevented me from breaking down by telling me my battery was almost completely dead and asked me if I have had issues starting my car. Which I was. They educated me and now I feel safe with my vehicle in their hands. I drive all the way from the beach to come here and will continue to take the trip out here. Consistency is very important to me. I have visited many Tires Plus locations and have encountered this current manager at two of the locations throughout my 7 years in Jax. Dan Hart and his team should know that they are the best! The staff is very loyal to the customer and provide detailed information and pricing. The parts and tires are backed by outstanding warranties and never had any problems with warranty work. I have been going to this place for years, and have seen many a manager come and go over the past few decades. My friend went there and they screwed her vehicle up badly enough that she had to use a rental TWICE in 3 months. At least they paid for the rental, how can they be so bad that it takes months to fix her car (which they admitted they did, in the first place)? I started going here when I had to get new tires. I went in for a rotation and they said they couldn't put those tires on my car because it was unsafe due to how worn out they are. So I was like sure why not and I opened up a credit card to cover it. The workers were very nice and so since I had the credit card I continued to got here for my oil change and alignments and whatnot. Every time no matter if I had an appointment or not, I waited at least an hour. One time I spent 4 hours waiting because when I drove my car off the lot after an alignment, my steering wheel was more crooked than before, and I had to wait all over again. The thing that did it for me was that they lied to me. I went in for an alignment and they said they couldn't even touch it because my rack and pinion is falling apart and it would cost me $800. Well after saying no to that I went straight to my mechanic and asked them to check it out. They gave me a list of things that could be fixed, but the rack and pinion was fine. My dad is a plane mechanic in the navy who also does car work on the side. So I've grown up around cars and mechanics who are trustworthy. These people are not. After a year of being with them, I paid off my card and cancelled it because they lied to me and I'm pretty sure it's because I'm a girl. Just saying. read more

Consumer BEWARE! Purchased new Pirelli Scorpion tire with 65k mile limited warranty $192 on 8/10/2015. Sunday 1/17/2016 went in to Tires Plus to have tire looked at....we noticed a slow leak. Received a call from customer service superstar Michelle. Consumer BEWARE, she will belittle and make the consumer feel like a total idiot. She claims tire had nail on the inner wall of tire and was unable to fix. We were told we had to purchase a new tire. I asked about our warranty and was told: 1. The warranty you have is not a road hazard warranty, therefore nail on the inner wall of tire is not covered 2. Claims tire was completely worn down 3. Even if we had purchased road hazard warranty, it would not matter because tire was totally worn down Really customer service superstar Michelle????? 1. I have receipts of new purchase of tire and mileage on vehicle on 8/102015 was in the mid 162,000 range and when I brought my vehicle in 1/17/2016, the mileage on my car had mid 168,000 range and you claim tire was completely worn out?????? 2. Why was I not told about the extra warranty that would have covered any road hazard issues??? I am supposed to believe that after spending $192 on a tire I would not have considered the extra warranty??? Why was I not offered the extra warranty to cover any other potential issues??? Instead I was told about the tire warranty and led to believe that, that was the only warranty available, which apparently the warranty I have DOES NOT COVER anything at all. 3. How is a tire that is 6 months old with less then 7,000 miles considered worn when it has a 65,000 miles rating? 4. I consulted by my mechanic and he stated that it would be very very difficult to get a nail in the inner wall of a tire. I contacted Bridgestone, who I am guessing owns the Tires Plus franchise. Was initially told they would have area manager contact me to try and resolve the issue, dating back 1/18/2016. After nearly 1 week of silly email contacts by their non-helpful and totally useless email team and several phone calls to their customer service line, NO HELP HAS BEEN GIVEN. Issue has gone unresolved!!! I HAVE NOT BEEN CONTACTED BY THE AREA MANAGER! Total run around by their customer care! DO NOT fall prey from their customer care team, with email(s) coming from bridgestone@mailmw.custhelp.com nor socialcare@bfrc.com!!! They will just feed you a line of crap and give you the run around! I will be filing a complaint directly with PIrelli US with photos & receipts intact, showing clear callousness by their vendor Tires Plus Westside (Normandy Blvd) Jacksonville. Buyer BEWARE! I called the day before to get a quote for my car. I needed brakes repaired and an oil change. They quoted me $165 for both out the door ($99 brakes, $19.99 oil change with tire rotation). I made an appointment for Saturday. I was there for 2.5 hours for a brake inspection and an oil change. They told me I needed brakes at rotors, totaling $700. When I asked if I could get the pads only they said they could try to turn the rotors but "eventually" I'd need to replace the rotors. They told me the pads alone would be $165. When I asked why the increase I was told that my car needed a special brake pad. I asked for them to just complete the oil change, then they tried to charge me $37 for an oil change. When I asked about the increase, they said my car needed extra oil (5.1 quarts vs 5). First of all, for both situations, they knew what car I had to begin with. Second, 0.1 quarts of oil should not cost $12 extra. A quart of oil at Discount costs less than $5! They gave me the $19.99 oil change ($25 out the door), but I will NEVER return! The bathroom was disgusting, they had to go back and rotate the tires (they didn't when they had the tires off to begin with), and they never did reset the mile counter on my computer system. read more

Well this place has officially lost my business. I was taking two vehicles to this place. The last time I went I purchased 4 new tires. Those tires "came with a warranty" that I later found out I was charged for. I was pretty mad, and after I called and questioned it, I was told they could refund the charge, but I wouldn't get the warranty. I wouldn't have purchased the tires from here in the first place since almost any place offers at least somewhat of a warranty for free when purchasing new tires. But yesterday was the final straw. I tried to make an oil change appointment at 5 and was told they don't take appointments after 4 (which I've actually made appointments with your facility after 4, so the person answering the phone is either a liar or lazy or both). It was suggested I call and ask for a walk in. I called at 5 and was again, pushed to make an early morning appointment. I have a pretty good feeling they never have walk in appointments available after 4... So if you work any sort of normal hour job, Don't expect to get any auto work done here. After 4 o'clock they don't want to work, even though they are open until 7 PM. read more

If I could rate this place a negative star I would. I went to this business on a Saturday to see if they could remove a small nail from my tire and patch it and was told they didn't have time and to return on Sunday. I returned early Sunday morning, and was told they would call me when they were finished. I received a call 3 hours later, and was told the nail pierced through two spots, and that it couldn't be repaired and that I would need to purchase a new tire. The only tires they had available were Bridgestones (I have 4 michelins on my car, and was told that Bridgestone was comparable to Michelins) and I was told it would be $230 to replace the tire. I told them not to worry about it because the tires I have are barely a year old and that I would go over to Big Chief, the place that I purchased them, the next day and was told they would put the tire back on and that my car would be ready in 20 minutes. The next afternoon I went to Big Chief, and within 20 minutes they had fixed my tire and laughed when I told them that Tires Plus told me I needed a new tire. Apparently two small nails were in my tire, one popped out as soon as the guy pushed on it and wasn't even leaking air, and the other nail was pulled out no problem but had a small leak which they quickly patched. Also, not only did Tires Plus straight up lie and try to take advantage of me, but they also stripped one of my studs that Big Chief was almost unable to remove, and once they did remove it it broke and Big Chief is replacing it for me for free with no issues. I will never be returning to this shady place ever again, and will be going straight to Big Chief from here on out. read more
