In November 2024 I bought tires for the front of my 31' Class C RV which is in on an E450 chassis. Last week I was told I needed a front end alignment because the tires were wearing uneven. When I took it to a front end specialist in he said the problem wasn't with the front end but with the tires. The tires that were put on were not designed for the weight of this RV. When I went to Direct tire in Jacksonville FL, which is the only place we buy tires across the country, we were told there was no warranty on wear, despite purchasing them only 13 months ago. We agreed to get new tires with no adjustment and were told they couldn't tell me how long the wait was because it was a major job. After two hours waiting I went back and was told it would be at least another hour before they could get me in and another hour or so after that. We gave up and left. After all our years committed to Direct Tire and American Tire up north we are considering buying our tires somewhere else in the future. Your saying that "we treat our customers like we want to be treated" fell well short with us. read more

We always get great service at discount tire. The staff are always very quick with giving recommendations and quotes and will work you in quickly and text you updates. You can generally find something a little cheaper elsewhere but I recommend getting the extra coverage as they have so many locations you'll be covered if something happens when you are on the road. read more

A month and a half ago, I went in for a tire inspection and free air refill. Much to my surprise I found out that I had a tire that was ready to have a flat immediately, I was able to replace the tire with a new one from them at a reasonable price. I highly advise going into having your tires checked on a monthly basis, they have a really good system of letting you know the status of your tires even though I bought a new used car, the tires that the dealership gave me were not that good. Discount tire alerted me that I need to change the other back tire as well. Had I not stopped in there a month ahead and a half ago I would never know that my car needed this work. These guys do not respect your time at all. I was at the window watching the people who actually change your tires BS while the managers were at lunch. 2 hours later my car is still in the parking lot and has not been worked on. I have been coming to this location almost 20 years, it used to be better. I will say this, things started to move faster when the assistant manager Eric was around. DO NOT take your vehicle to the Discount Tire on Atlantic near Regency in Jacksonville Florida. I took my jeep in there on Monday for a simple nail repair. They broke my parking brake and are now disputing it with their claims department saying that they did not break it. They refuse to admit that they had to disengage the parking brake to move the jeep out of the parking spot and into their bay. I had the parking brake engaged and working when I turned the key over to their care. Never did I think that taking my Jeep in to be fixed would result in it being broken. But further to have to jump through hoops to make the situation right? The customer service has been lacking it seems everywhere lately and I am unsure what switch flipped that businesses are not taking responsibility for their mistakes. I now have to pay out of my own pocket to have my Jeep "diagnosed" for paperwork to be submitted to their claims department. My latest experience was downright terrible. I needed a puncture patched in one of my tires. I called and made an appointment hoping that would expedite the service. My appointment time was blown past by the staff. No one came by to address my wait/delay. People who came in after me with later appointments were helped before me. When I walked in I was told there was only one car in front of me and I would be next. At least three vehicles were brought into the service bays while mine sat, unmoved.
