I had an appointment last Saturday and arrived 15 minutes early. After checking in, I waited in the designated area. However, more than an hour passed without any updates, so I approached the front desk to check on my car's status. To my surprise, I was informed that my car hadn't even been started yet. I understand that wait times can be longer for walk-ins, but since I had scheduled an appointment, I expected more timely service. Date 04-17-25 I recently went to Tires Plus to get 4 new tires, alignment and oil change. I had to bring it back twice because they couldn't get the alignment right. They claim it had the wrong alignment bolts I puled up a you tube video to prove them wrong. A couple of days later I checked my oil and it was 1 whole quary low. didn't even bother bringing it back. The only good thing was they refunded my money back for not being able to align it right, when I've had this truck for 8 years with zero alignment problems. I arrived around 7:30 AM as they normally open at 7 AM. I checked in my car for an alignment as I purchased their lifetime alignment bundle. I walked in and let them know that I am from out of town and I noticed that I needed an alignment. I was asked if I had an appointment, which I said no. The gentleman told me that it will be a long time to wait I asked if it was a 6pm long time and he laughed and said no. (If it was, I would just have gone to another location) I told him that I was going to grab lunch and that I would be back. I left the site around 8 AM and I got back from the restaurant around 12:30 PM just to find my car parked where I left it at 7:30 AM. I asked if my car would be ready soon and they told me that I had 1 car ahead of mine. However, I heard that all day including when I called from the restaurant to obtain an update around 10:30 AM. At 1:30 PM I walked up and saw my car still parked where I left it so I was done being nice. I became irate and I asked as to why my car still parked at the same location and still nothing was done. The older gentleman did not say a thing, he just got up walked out and then I saw him talking to someone and walking around the car. After that my car was done by 2:25PM which they had ruined my day. I blessed that my work allows me to work remotely. But if you are a single parent or not able to work remotely, you would have lost your income for that day. I also think that because I was a warranty and no revenue was being generated, I was set to be the last person to be taken care of. No apologies were given, no thank you for your business was expressed. Just that my car needed new tires and that they could not touch them. I told the guy that I knew that because I buy my tires at Costco and all I asked was for an alignment. If you were to ask me if the lifetime alignment it is worth the value? I would say that of all the sites are like that? I would say no because my time and wellbeing have more value than $180. read more

Called at 2:30 they have not even looked at the car yet - "try back around 4:00" Very poor customer service - ruined the whole day of trying to accomplish errands . I wish I had read the reviews before going to Tires Plus. Badly run and terrible service. I booked a week in advance to have tires installed that I had bought from Tire Rack; Tire Rack partners with Tires Plus to install their tires, so I felt confident that this simple job would be done properly. Huge mistake. When I arrived for my appointment , They asked if I wanted to wait (which I thought meant that they could do the job relatively quickly). I said I would come back. The man at the desk said it would be done in the afternoon. 4:30, no call. So I called And explained that I need the car to meet friends in town for dinner. I said that I made an appointment with the reasonable expectation that they would complete the job. When I finally picked up the car the next day, the manager whined that it had been a bad day, did not offer to comp the job, just said she should have called. Final straw--I get home and there are no caps on any of the valve stems. This store is run incompetently, with little understanding of customer service. I bought tires and lifetime alignment for my Jeep in 2018 after verifying that they would honor an alignment on an aftermarket suspension. Things seemed okay, and they aligned it once after the initial alignment with no issue. The second alignment, I was told that the next time, I would need to replace the tie rod ends before it could be properly aligned, but it was close and would be fine until I could replace them. They provided a helpful quote which was only slightly higher than a follow up quote from my regular mechanic. Great. Thanks for the heads up! At this year's safety inspection, I asked my regular mechanic about the tie rod end, and he loosened it up (it's an old Jeep and had been rusted) so they would be able to align it properly. Less than a week later, I brought it to Tires Plus and they told me that they couldn't align my Jeep because a shock was disconnected (bolt missing, and if that was the case when I brought it in, I understand, although how it passes a safety inspection a week before is a mystery). That I could overlook and would have kept the rating at 3-4 stars. But there's more! They also refused to align it because they said I was missing a gasket or grommet between the coil spring and the axle and I should take it back to whoever installed the suspension because they left a part off that would prevent the metal to metal direct contact. It was a "safety" issue regarding a non-existent part. A friend and I installed the lift, and it wasn't our first and we left no parts off and retained the old parts and documentation. I wanted to be thorough so after their claim, I looked on 4 Jeeps of the same body style within the same years. None had this mysterious missing part that was not an issue the 2 prior times they aligned it. My guess is that they saw someone actually taking advantage of their lifetime alignments without immediately accepting their repair quotes and decided they had enough. Either that or none of their current technicians have seen a Jeep manufactured between 2007 and 2018. read more

I dropped off my car in 9am for nail tire patch and I verified many different people that it can be patched and recommend to Tireplus. They inform me that the car will be ready afternoon. I'm very patient and understanding person but for tire patch takes only 30min smh... I called them 4pm to check up if they did then they said 6pm but they called 5 and said it's on outside and need a new tire. I was instantly shocked and disappointed for waisting my time. I went to the shop and waited 15min and the the short worker said yea yea I'm coming. What respond is that for regular customer service. I checked my car (Tesla) shows that they didn't even move my car to check tire deeply (The Picture below) and the dash cam just shows a worker just checking only 5min. LOL what a joke. I wanted to have some tires (I provided) mounted to my 2021 Wrangler Rubicon. After some back and forth on email, they gave me a price range per tire, which was reasonable, but then proceeded to tell me that I MUST have the TPMS sensors replaced at the same time, which from experience is not the case (unless they are damaged). "Buy One and get ripped off!" Be alert you do not get life time warranty that this store says. It is not worth of giving even ONE star. I got 4 tires in 2020. Last week I found a small nail on the tire and asked them to pull it out and fix it. One old mechanic(I will not reveal his name) told me it was irreparable and he could not fix it or I have to replace the tire. Before he talked about this, he mentioned other repairs and suggested me to replace all 4 tires or one tire with a risk of unbalance. He kept saying I needed to understand why it was irreparable. I did not agree and took my car to other mechanics and they fixed in minutes!! It costs me just $10. I will never return to this store. read more

I made an online appointment to have a tire with a slow leak repaired on a Friday. I got a call Friday morning that they would not have time to do the service so I agreed to bring the car in on Sunday instead. On Sunday I brought the car and they informed me that they were slammed but would have it done by the end of the day. I had been planning to wait for the car but I walked home, annoyed, instead. Four hours went by with no word so I called the store. They said they had been trying to reach me on my old disconnected home number (although I updated the number when I made the initial appointment) and they still hadn't even looked at my car! I went back to pick up the car and they apologized about not getting to my car. It's a 15 minute job and they wasted hours of my time and energy and never even did the work. I took my car here for an inspection and they failed it saying I needed rear brakes, rotors and a rear caliper. They quoted me $1,500 to make the repairs. I was surprised because I thought my brakes were absolutely fine, so I took my car to another shop and it passed. The second shop let me know that the lowest break pad had more than half left and the rotors were in good shape and the caliper was not locked. Last year they did the same thing to my daughter. They failed her inspection and gave her a quote to make it pass. Then she went somewhere else and the quote and the work was for half. I had been going there for a few years already. I bought the lifetime alignment deal, and when I went there for the alignment they told me to change my tires. I changed my tires from Costco and I got Michelin tires for about $850. After that, I called them to make an appointment for an alignment and they told me to just walk in to get them aligned. When I went there the next day, they told me that I have to leave my car at their shop for 2 days. Within the last 6 month, I have went there 6-7 times and they still haven't aligned my tires and two of my new tires are already gone because they wouldn't do my alignment. After this, I asked the district in charge and he told me to book an appointment for 10 Am and they will give me my car back at 10:45 Am. When I called to book an appointment they would not listen to anything and kept repeating that I have to leave my car in the shop for 2 days. I spent $200 for this lifetime alignment deal and never once in my life received the service. I would not recommend going to this company at all. read more

I've taken my car to Tires Plus for tires for years, but this was my first visit to the Herndon store. It will be my last. After paying for my new tires, I went to leave and found items from my glove box on the floor and on my passenger seat. My center console storage area was open, and the contents where in utter disarray. I went back into the store to speak to the manager. He said the technician was looking for a wheel lock key, but I don't have wheel locks. He had even asked me if I did when I checked the car in. He said he'd seen the tech going through my car. He should have come to me then and apologized. The technicians should NEVER go searching through compartments in a car for any reason without permission, and they surely shouldn't do it for a key to locks that don't exist. The manager badly mishandled the situation. My advice- get your tires elsewhere. read more

Dropped the truck off Friday night and it was ready, along with oil change, Sat afternoon. Quick and reliable service fore tires and oil changes. I took a tire on the wheel in that had run over a screw but was still holding air to be fixed. I had it off the car and rolled it in but could have just driven on it since it wasn't losing air. They said they could fix it but I'd have to leave it since they were really busy. With a mostly empty parking lot and only two cars in the bays, that seemed strange - understaffed, perhaps? Fine. I left it. I called them back around 5:30pm, after 2 hours, and they said they had examined the puncture and determined that there was damage to the inside of the tire wall. Huh? So, they dismounted the tire and looked at the inside? Really? And instead of the $28 they wanted to charge me for a fix, mounting and balancing, they needed to order a new tire. They did nothing more than pull the screw from the tread. I came back for the wheel/tire and went right to the dealership. The service rep said it looked repairable and she'd get someone on it. Lo and behold, they fixed it, with a plug and patch. It cost $45, but that's about 1/10 the cost of a new tire. So...here's the deal...either the guys at Tires Plus are incompetent, and if that's so why are they even in business??, or they tried to cheat me. Either way, DON'T GO TO THEM. read more

I got bait-and-switched this morning at this Tire Plus. I came in with a flat tire and I agreed to change the two front tires because they were wearing down and they said there was a promotion for $63 for each tire. Total with service would be about $175. After they finished the bill was $220 - the tires were $90 a piece. I told them that the guy - Jason - told me there was a promotion. They denied there being any promotion like that. I asked to speak with Jason.. they said he went to the bank and wouldn't be back for a while. I didn't think a companies were still so blatant with these kinds of tactics. Like the previous post, I will also be taking my business elsewhere. This would be the 4th year I'd been using this shop for all my tires & front end work. Dropped my car off on a Sat around noon for alignment, rotation & balancing. I picked up my car around 6:30 & then went home. It was dark & I hadn't noticed until several days later that all they had done was the alignment! No rotation or balancing. A few days later when I was back at work I called & was told to bring it back in. They called with an estimate, since I needed rear shocks (I didn't deny this) & new belts (which I also knew) and since the rear shocks were shot, the rear tires needed to be replaced. The $$ were adding up, but I knew these things needed to be done. I called later that afternoon to check on the progress & was told that it was taking a little longer because they couldn't figure out how to release my soft top (convertable) to get to my rear deck to do the shocks. :0( When I got there I went in to check on my car since the overhead door was open. I ended up very disgusted!!! Not knowing the full extent of what they did until nearly 2 weeks later... In total...they dug up the plastic trim where my soft top meets the windshield edge (this screams pry tool to try & get my top released instead of calling the "chick" to see how her car works), they had left one of my belts inside the engine compartment, which could have caused major damage if it got near the pulleys or fan belt, they also never put the underside splash guard back on & when I called about that in particular, I was told that he had his "A" mechanic work on my car (I'd hate to see what the "D" mechanic would do). He told me to check & see what the part would cost & he'd see about what he can do. When I asked what the H that meant because it didn't fall off on it's own...he said "well, you didn't lose it here either". After being a long time customer & spending probebly close to $3500 in their shop since Spring of 07....I am now a liar. I got a new part...for $25. That part, the manager's attitude, the mechanic and the overall experience has cost them my business. Go here at your own risk...and if you do...take a GOOD inventory of the parts on your car to be sure they're all there when you drive away!!! I have told absolutely everyone I know at work about their CRAPPY customer service. So just know, you HAVE been warned! read more

The only reason these guys get a 2-star review is because their lot and shop are usually pretty empty. I have personally spent upwards of $5000 here since 2011. I guess I'm the sucker. Count on your estimate for any work done to be around $2000 all said and done- NO MATTER WHAT YOU NEED SERVICED. They avoid doing any and all work that doesn't require extensive cost. Just today we went there to get a flat repaired. The manager said "nope, can't do it...the problem with your tire needs the dealership and it's gonna cost you at least $250." So we left...went to a separate shop up the street (with a far more reputable national name.) BAM! Fixed for $14.00. You're welcome. read more

After reading some of the other reviews, I am starting to wonder if this place actively practices bait and switch sales tactics. Called in for a quote and to confirm that Falken tires were in stock. Was told that they were and they would be able to install same day. I chose to wait on the tire installation (4 new tires), and after an hour or so, hunger got the best of me. I walked across the street for some lunch. When I returned, a completely different brand of tire had been installed on my vehicle. The excuse: their inventory program was not accurate and the tire I drove there for was not in stock. They made the decision to install completely different tires on my vehicle without my approval -- sure they attempted to call me but were not successful. The tires they installed could be considered an upgrade (they are priced higher the ones I drove there for), but are not a brand I wanted. The store manager honored the original price / quote, and I suppose I got a great deal on tires I did not want... but I am upset by the whole experience. I will not be returning. read more

Price gougers. Mind you, everyone I encountered there were friendly and nice, however, their business practices are unethical. My hood started smoking on the way to work and I pulled over to tires plus b/c it was the closest thing there. They found a leak/crack in my radiator so the coolant was super low. My usual shop was in tysons so I wanted them to take a look and give me a quote since it didn't feel safe to drive in it. They quoted me $265 for the part/radiator and then they were like so then your total is $1300+ after taxes! I'm like excuse me, what? Their "shop fees" and "labor" was what accounted for the rest. Luckily I decided to get a second opinion and towed my car to my usual shop, Schmitz Auto service in tysons and they quoted me similar for the part and my total only being $680 after taxes. I'm not sure if it's this tires plus only or all tires plus and if they pick and choose who they decide to price gouge on, but they are a rip off and are definitely taking advantage of their customers. read more

That the manger makes the schedule.. and they are booked. yeah so what's the point of having a schedule system if it doesn't work. I have been to the store 3 times now. Once for my mother's car, once for me and now once for my daughter. Each time the team was super helpful and took the time to explain and educate me on my vehicles' needs. This last visit for my daughter, when she blew out her front tire just before returning to college. The team at Tires Plus, never over promising, but try delivered exactly what my daughter needed to get back on the road to return to school. We favour Tires Plus overall because they stand behind their warranties and have stores in numerous places. I recently moved to Virginia in July & have been here 3 times now (once before I moved). My first oil change took over an hour (which they guarantee will not) so the manager, Eduardo, gave me a free service for my next oil change, no hassle, no arguing! I went back for my free oil change this past weekend & also for them to check my brakes. There are a LOT of crook places in the NOVA area that would say you need brakes done when you don't (especially if you're a young woman driving a Lexus) but NOT here! Eduardo called me & said it'd be a waste of money to do my brakes right now, they have 50% life left in them. I commend this place for standing by their word & not ripping people off. Their prices are reasonable & they are courteous! They have my business for life, and this spring I will be buying new tires there! Thanks for treating me & my Lexus right, Tires Plus. Recently had two tires replaced and an alignment from Tires Plus. Everyone that I encountered was extremely helpful and honest. They respected my time and what I wanted to have done with my vehicle. They did recommend a few other services/fixes, but they were respectful and not pushy on trying to make me get anything done. Everything on my car was completed within a couple of hours and ready to pickup. I will return to tires plus due the great service and helpful salespeople. read more

Due to their lack of attention to each customer's questions/concerns, more frustration followed after when I came back to pick up. I am a capable mechanic that performs all the work on my vehicle unless it requires special equipment, i.e. alignment rack, tire mount and balance. I needed to get an alignment and have the tires rotated and balanced. I had used this location years ago so I decided to go again since my new office was down the street. Several hours later I got a call from the manager stating I needed an inner tie rod end before they could do the alignment. The interesting thing is that a 2002 GMC Sierra 1500 does not have a rack and pinion steer so there is no inner tie rod end. When I told the manager that part did not exist on my truck and why all he said was well that is the tech is telling me. I said your tech is a damn lair and not to touch my truck. read more

I'm not sure how recently the other reviewer went to this Tires Plus, but the couple times I went were horrible. Not once, but TWICE, (two separate occasions), I made an appointment for an oil change, got there, and they had no knowledge of my appointment. Why are the incompetent employees answering the phones? Then when I finally get my car in, what was supposed to be 30 minutes - 1 hour, turned into 2-3 hours...for an oil change...with an appointment! The staff could care less and was unapologetic; offering no explanation. I went there because I had a coupon for a decently priced oil change, but for all the hassle, I since have taken my business elsewhere. Midas in Chantilly is right down the road and has equally decent prices, but has MUCH better service and friendlier employees. read more
