I think after trying CASEYS for the past two years that I have settled on them as my GO-TO place for all things auto related. Their counter service is friendly, knowledgable and understandable. Their services while not the most inexpensive is the best for good service, fair pricing, and candid evaluations of problems. They are also open to questions and exPLAINATION and concerns an owner has with repairs. When one can find good service and feel as if all recommendations are truthful...this is all one can ask for in the area saturated with many questionable services centers. Been coming to Casey's with both of our cars for several years now, at the recommendation of my brother who has all four of his family's cars serviced here. Expect quality and honesty, not cheap or dishonest service. Family owned, not franchised or dealership owned. They stand by their workmanship and warranty service. It's sometimes difficult to line up a loaner car, and concierge and drop-off service were started and discontinued at some point, but at least there are a couple of loaner cars available for customers. If you do need to wait for service, there's a cute little kids room, a fish tank, a regular waiting room, refreshments and a coffee bar. Super clean, inviting, and not "dingy repair shop" vibes. Like me, my car requires more care & maintenance the older she gets. I chose Casey's Automotive - Chantilly to service my car based on the great reviews and have been a customer ever since. And now, I'd like to add to those great reviews because they have provided me great service since 2022. Honest, reliable, transparent, prompt, good work. A bit pricey but comparable. The difference that made the difference for me was their accountability the one time they forgot to reset a sensor. I got an oil change from them and 2 months later my "change oil" light came on. I brought my car in, and it was a simple issue where they forgot to reset my sensor. I was frustrated as I had to take off work to bring my car in and then...they did something wonderful. I recommended my son go there to see why a 1 yr. old battery wasn't holding a charge. Simple fix, I thought to replace the alternator in a 2012 Honda Civic. They wanted $!,100.00!!!! The alternator costs $150..I had to do it myself because it was so simple. So basically they wanted $950.00 for a simple job! What a rip off. I went to get my car inspected here, having had a good experience in the past. This time they told me my car needed $2,600 of work. My mechanic was able to get everything needed done for 1247. So, I wouldn't recommend going here for car inspection unless you want to get a lot of unnecessary work done. read more

OUTSTANDING SERVICE!!! Seriously. I haven't had an experience like this ever with auto services. I contacted Casey's On a Sunday via Yelp and received a response nearly within minutes from the owner Bryan. He was not only responsive but also very thorough in his response. Though a true diagnosis was impossible via Yelp, he took the time to explain what could be going on. He then went on to help me schedule an appointment for first thing Monday morning AND reserve a loaner car for my convenience. On Monday morning Brendan assisted me in the main office. Can we talk about the office? The cleanest, most organized and nicely decorated auto office EVER!! Even had coffee and a free Casey's mug or light drinks if you prefer. Ok so back to Brendan. He was welcoming, efficient and pleasant. Check in took all of 5 minutes to include setting me up with the loaner. The shop contacted me a few hours later with a thorough breakdown of the diagnostic to include photos. They sent a link to my profile with all photos and followed up with a phone call to explain everything. I felt so comfortable. They were knowledgeable, patient with explaining and not pushy about my decision regarding service. Ultimately I spent a pretty penny (much needed and prices seemed reasonable though I didn't compare with other places). I was so satisfied with the service that it was worth every penny spent. Since I had such a great experience the first time I visited, I called a few days ago to schedule my next oil change. During the call, I asked what I should expect to pay (basic due diligence to make sure prices didn't increase significantly or I'd probably would go elsewhere), and the guy I talked to said, "I don't know, I'd have to write a ticket up," and said nothing else. This was a very odd response, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt and thought maybe they were extremely busy, so I asked if their fee schedule was posted online and I would check it there. The answer was no. It's not posted anywhere. And still no offer to provide a quote. I was taken aback and didnt know quite how to respond, so I asked if prices went up. I was told the price should be about the same as last time. Still not a good enough answer but I just accepted it. When I went to pay today it was actually $10 more. This isn't a lot more, and its not the exact dollar amount thats off putting, its the attitude. Not answering a basic question like a service cost is unprofessional and put me in an awkward situation to have to ask two more times and still not get an answer. I try to be fair to businesses, so while I feel like rating this business three stars because of this situation, I dont think thats a fair evaluation of the company as a whole. I ended up speaking with the manager, who was very kind. He apologized and said he talked to all the employees about this. I have had work done by Casey's before and was happy with the work that was done. Sadly I called today about an alignment and shock replacement. I do a lot of my own work, and today was not really feeling like doing a 4 point shock replacement. I had my Koni shocks ready to go. Called up to find out what they would charge, and sadly they won't do work unless you buy the parts through them. I think this is the last time I will be going there. I had THE BEST experience with Casey's Automotive today! My VW Eos was throwing me ECP & Check Engine lights and it was hesitating if I tried to go faster than 20mph. (And, yes, I realize in most of NoVa rush hour, it's tough to pass that anyway...). I've typically gone to Lindsay Volkswagen of Dulles for work, but they couldn't get me in until Jan 15th. So I posted in a local FB group to get thoughts on a shop that is closer cuz I didn't want to have to deal with towing or playing the rental car game. The owner (Bryan Jewett) messaged me via FB and offered to help. Not only did they give me a free loaner car, their shuttle driver (wish I could tag Brian Ahakuelo - super nice guy!) brought the loaner to me and picked up my car at my house! Within a very short period of time, I had a text from them with a link to all of the diagnostic info from my car, including photos they took. Brendan Hagen (service manager) called me, walked me through everything, gave me costs based on different options to let me pick and choose what to do. He was super nice, took his time, and didn't rush me through anything. The estimate was more than fair. He told me the car would be finished by the afternoon, and if I couldn't make it by 6pm, they had a variety of options (lock boxes for keys, letting me keep the loaner for another day if I wanted, etc) so there was no pressure to switch my day around to get there. When I showed up, Eric Sauer (service advisor) was at the desk, greeted me in a super friendly way, and jumped to get Brendan. They showed me around their office, I got to pet the sweetest rescue dog who was there for the day, and they just made me feel incredibly welcome like I was their #1 priority. They have a comfy office that is clean with a separate quiet workspace with wifi, and a kid area with toys and video games. (Oh and a nice clean bathroom - that's always a tell-tale sign at a business!! ) Definitely thinking about the customer! Honestly, this was probably one of the most positive experiences I've ever had with a car repair shop. 2 thumbs up - I highly recommend them! read more

However, they are slightly more expensive than others, so I only use them for my pricier vehicles or super complex and/or critical repairs. They will be honest with you. My front brakes needed to be replaced and they gave me the option of doing the rear brakes at the same time or wait until my next oil change as they had some additional life left in them. Walked in for an oil change and state inspection. After an hour, I came back to check on the progress. The front guy rejected my car, then showed me a list of "recommended things" filled with unreasonable prices here and there. The great parts were when they charged $20 labor fees to change a third brake light bulb, plus $424.20 labor fees for other parts. Whatever is it and no matter how hard to change it, this price is unacceptable rip off. I refused to do further business with them, just paid for the inspection fees and oil change. I don't even know where to start. These guys will not jerk you around or talk to you like some kid who just graduated HS. I got my oil changed there a few weeks ago, and it came with a Full Comprehensive check up. Recommended First was tires, which were at a 90% tread loss and had Tire rot. When i got this vehicle, i knew I had a 70% tread loss, but was told that I could probably make it through the Fall. I was pretty worried about the tread-loss, especially when it rained, so I decided to go ahead and order the tires I wanted. I got a price quote just Under other places, and no hidden Extras. In Fact, they Even honored the Yelp check in for 10% off. Oh, And, I asked for the shop to pick me up at the shopping center I walked to while the worked on my car, and it was No Problem. I took my car here for inspection and they failed it, based on some radiator frame being bent? Then said they can refer me to have that repaired somewhere. I then took it immediately to another garage who said this was not any part of inspection and passed my inspection. Can not recommend this place and will not got back. read more

Well the waiting game is on now. Car needs some TLC and came to Casey's. Been looking for sometime for an great and honest mechanic here in NOVA. Only took about 14 years, just moved into Chantilly area and tested a few. Some were good and others well my wallet has seen some better days. Casey is just honest great working mechanics. You get what you pay for and you never feel cheated. It cost what it costs with no huge markups and you don't feel like the repairs were not necessary. They do an excellent job and that's why I continue to come here. Now I wait for the damage to see how much my car will cost me but at l Update. Still a value customer of Casey's. When in doubt have them check your car out. Great staff and workmanship excellent. No complaints other than they are closed Sunday but everyone is entitled to enjoy a day with family and football. read more

We were on vacation in DC from Atlanta when our battery light went off in our car and we went to autozone to have it check out. Long story short the battery and alternator were shot. We contacted these guys at Casey's on Facebook and the get right back to us even though it was 8 at night. The squeezed us in even though there were fully booked for the day. They took great care of my family and myself. While I hope we wont have any issues next time we visit DC, if we do have issues we will be using them again. Very professional and very caring towards the customer. I decided to stick with them and they made sure to get the order for my tire in ASAP. They gave me an estimate of how long it would take, and then ended up finishing much sooner than expected. I can be a fussy, difficult customer, but they are always patient and reliable, managing expectations while always managing to stay within or very near their estimate. You will get quality work done on time and within your estimate. Recently after I had some service done my car broke down on the interstate in the way to my Dad's funeral. I was anxious and chippy with them on the phone but they still made the extra effort to not only find me a nearby in-network shop, but to explain my situation to them and ask them to do whatever they could for me.
