Beautiful restaurant on the first floor of the Hampton Inn! Magnifique! We were only here for work for a couple of days but came to this restaurant every chance we could! Service was good and prices were reasonable. The eggplant parm appetizer was delectable and the beverage options here were varied and worldly. Highly recommend!

Came across this online and it was definitely a favorite in Montreal! I'm always skeptical to try fusion foods but this place was perfect. The atmosphere was very elegant but modern. There is also a bar in the middle, so definitely a great place to grab a drink after. - Proscuitto & Fichi (8/10): So good! Loved how perfectly salty this was - Boeuf & Shishito (8/10): Also amazing, loved the flavoring from the furikake - Al Ragu (8/10): Best mix of Japanese curry and Ragu sauce. So unique and I definitely would recommend if your into a tomato sauce. - Al Tartufo (9/10): I loved the truffle and how creamy the sauce was! Definitely my favorite. - Tiramisu (9/10): This was sooo soo good and a perfect end to the night Cocktails - Lemon Dream (7/10) - Fuku Sour (6/10)

    Peking Duck Pizza--a little undercooked

I was staying at the Homewood Suites and even though I usually don't default to the hotel restaurant, Tiramisu had some good reviews so I gave it a try. Yes, it's trendy and a bit pricey, but I enjoyed the experience. We sat at the bar which has interesting bilevel seating: on one side, they have your usual higher stool seating, but on the back side of the bar, they have more traditional chair seating. I appreciated that, as the lower seating was more comfortable for how long we were there. Let me get that out of the way first. If you're hoping to have a quick meal, this is not for you. Especially if you order pizza, the wait will be VERY long. The kitchen seemed really backed up on anything that needed the wood-fired oven. I watched as one solo diner near us got increasingly agitated because she waited almost two hours for a salad and a pizza. (!) Since my son and I were catching up, we didn't have an issue with the wait, but I did realize when we were done that we had been at the restaurant for over three hours. The bartender who was our server did his best to keep at least the drinks coming! That said, the drinks were lovely and most of the dishes were delicious and beautifully presented. The aforementioned pizza (we had the Peking Duck pizza) was undercooked, probably because the oven was getting slammed with orders. The tonkatsu veal was the big hit of the evening, and we decided to pair it with comforting carbonara. We had to finish with tiramisu, of course, and pairing it with the Un Cafe cocktail was a perfect finish. I hope they work out the kitchen kinks, but all in all, a good experience.

Tiramisu just started doing brunch this past weekend so I had to give it a go! I made a reservation for 10am on Sunday and it wasn't too busy. It could also have been because people didn't know they were open for brunch yet. The decor and ambiance was so nice, so I definitely see this as a popular brunch spot in the future! The retro colours (salmon and teal) were so cute, along with the details like the windows, greenery over the bar, etc. just made the place really cool. I loved the vibe. I tried the thick cut toast with mushrooms and a poached egg on top, and my boyfriend had the same except with thick cut ham instead of mushrooms. Both were really tasty and I found the portions to be generous. We also got a matcha latte and regular latte. The matcha latte was a little watery in my opinion, and the latte could've been stronger too. Our server was totally new but he made some great recommendations and was really friendly. Overall, I really enjoyed the brunch here! The food and ambiance are awesome. I'm looking forward to coming back and trying their dinner!

I was staying at the Homewood Suites for four days over Christmas, and arrived at the hotel around 1800 on a Tuesday night. I decided to head next door to Tiramisu to order a take away (à emporter) dinner. The overall atmosphere is extremely impressive. There were several groups celebrating various occasions. Seating is very limited, but the bar was open. I was presented with two menus and a glass of water. As soon as I closed the menus, a bartender was there to take my order. He spoke fluent English and French, and was kind enough to suffer through my limited French as I placed my order. Contrary to a previous review, my pizza arrived before I had finished my first diet coke. For the convenience, atmosphere, and the quality of the pizza, it is well worth it. Now to the pizza: The pizza is hand tossed and wood fired. The sauce and cheese is superior. The pepperoni (or baby pepperoni) was extremely good and had a very different flavor than the highly cured and preserved pepperoni we get in the states. The pepperoni had a ham like taste, which I liked. Update: I should have left well enough alone, but I went again to Tiramisu again the next night and had a very different experience. I ordered the Pasta Carbonara takeout and what a mistake. You can see from the picture that they should rename this "dish" Pasta Mistake in a Box. Greasy noodles with no flavor. I've had Ramen Noodles that taste better than this.

Such a pretty restaurant with a darker bar-like ambiance. All the food was great, but I especially liked the pizzas (proscuitto & fichi and boeuf & shishito). Unique combination of Asian and Italian flavors :)

Unfortunately not a review of the food. Didn't even get a chance to try it. Was really looking forward to trying this spot. My cousin and her husband, both locals, have been amazing hosts and took us for brunch. As we were being seated my cousin pointed out a dead mouse behind the booth. We informed the host who tried to maintain his composure as much as he could and quickly took us to another table as he apologized. At that point we saw enough and immediately left. We did not want to cause a scene. Felt so bad because it looks like a nice spot but it's hard to eat there after this.

This trendy spot is connected to the Hampton Inn in Downtown Montreal at the edge of Chinatown. It gets pretty busy so be sure to make a reservation on their website! We got the Tonkotsu Lasagna and Tagliatelle Al Tartufo. The fusion lasagna sounded interesting but was not as appealing once we got to try it. The texture and flavour made the dish bland and it was not what we're expecting. However, we really enjoyed the Tagliatelle which was perfectly creamy, although the truffle flavour was not strong. The restaurant's namesake dessert was good and worth trying as well. After our meal, one portion of the Tiramisu was enough for us to share between two people I took a picture of the dinner menu as I unable to find it on their website.

Great food! We had a group of over ten and service was kind of slow, but the staff was really friendly and attentive. The vibe was perfect for a brunch spot. It was a great last meal before heading back to the states.

Really enjoyed dinner in this restaurant. They were very busy but accommodated my kids and I at a bar top table away from the actual bar. The wait staff were so friendly and humored my son when they grated half a wheel of parmesan over his pizza. The pasta menu is limited, but they are open to making it to preference. Plenty of wines offered by the glass, which make for a great dinner.

It was below average Italian food overall, nothing was special. The Japanese aspect of the restaurant is really light, mainly dressings/sauces in the dishes, you can't taste much of it in the dishes either. Tiramisu, the dessert, was good.

I've been to Tiramisu about 3 times now and I'm excited to finally leave a review. This is a bar/restaurant/cafe that opened in the first floor of the Hampton Inn in Chinatown. The aesthetic and vibes are great and whilst it can be mistaken for another pretentious-trendy spot, the service, drinks and the food always speaks otherwise. The menu is mostly Italian, with Japanese inspirations. I don't often love fusion but I think they have created a perfect balance of the two cuisine complimenting each other. My absolute favourite menu item is the Tonkotsu lasagna, which is a twist on your traditional lasagna with tonkotsu pork with a hint of miso. I also recommend their pizzas and the endive salad. The space is beautiful aesthetically, and the food always matches the ambiance. (I.e. everything is instagram-mable). Located in the heart of Chinatown, you must come here for your next girls night or date night! Make sure to reserve ahead if you plan on coming on a busier evening. They also do brunch, which I've heard is great. I'm looking forward to coming back here for brunch in the near future! Overall: 5 Food: 5 Value: 4.5 Service: 4 Ambiance: 5

No. 900 on the edge of old Montreal (I think it is on McGill St) was such a treat! I got to know, in a very little way mostly, and more extensively in one case, all of the staff that run the front of house. Delightful, all of them! Kind of a graduate student crowd, very efficient, friendly, smart, and pleasant to talk to. I don't drink so I didn't try beverages. I was in town for the week so got to try several pizzas. The one that says it is spicy, is SPICY. I was at my limit but the delicious outweighed the spice and I did end up eating it all (in two sittings, not one!). I especially liked the milder italian sausage pizza and so wanted to try more of them.

Wish they would have told us it was going to be last call before we tried to order one more drink. The server told us that the bar closed ten minutes ago, and was very apologetic. It was a little busy and they were short-staffed so they did not come around much and it took a long time to get our food that time. But it was worth it. Pizza is very good. So we're the meatballs.

This is exceptional pizza created by an energetic and passionate staff. I have only been there once, but in that short visit it was obvious that the pizza reflects the people that work there ... creative, fun, unique, and welcoming. They sell several great pies and actually offer both slices and whole pies. I ordered a pepperoni and hot pepper pie but as I sat there I had to get a slice of their upside down pie. While they were both outstanding, I have to say, what I cannot stop thinking about was that upside down slice. That was freaking magical. I would eat it there through because of the complexity and nuances of the actual pizza. Do not let this one sit ... trust me. Upside down pizza (cheese first, sauce on top) or stranger still, a double carb potato pizza. Speaking of, the potato pie is so good. All the ingredients from a potato mille feuille with a hit of fresh rosemary and grana padano atop the well made crust. Rich, creamy, nuff said. Equally good the mushroom with its "mushroom cream" (think a thin duxelles) base, rosemary to season and meaty creminis and motz to round it all out. Finally the sopressatta. I mean, come on, who doesn't love a cheese pie made even more complex with goat cheese, honey and grana padano? Sold by the slice or whole 18 inch pie. Inexpensive. Is it better than the NYC pie? No. But it's definitely not as boring either.
