Five stars. I was in Montreal for a work conference. And I needed to throw a dinner party for my work colleagues at the last minute. This place was a 5 minute walk from my hotel. I went there two days before the dinner up ask if they'd provide take out for 16 pizzas. The owner Phil gave me direct number and says I could text him the order anytime and he would take care of it. He was so welcoming and relaxed about the whole thing. He was communicative over text when i ordered. And He made the order was made and ready on time. His staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant itself was beautiful. And the pizzas were fabulous. My work friends, the next day, asked me where I got the food so they could visit it one more time before heading home after the work conference. We are staying in the apartments Nextdoor and decided to give this place a go after browsing the menu. The food is delicious and the restaurant is very cozy. We arrived with no reservation on a Monday around 6pm and it was starting to get busy. This place is smaller so I recommend a reservation just to be on the safe side. The service was good not amazing but nothing to really complain about. As for the other reviews knowing some French here will help you out so I can see where others are coming from. Quaint italian spot serving up pizzas and pasta. I came on a Sunday night near 9 o clock and it was still very busy, people were being turned away as they were supposedly booked up for the evening. I managed to get a solo bar seat in front of the pizza counter. It was nice being able to watch them make the pizza throughout the night. I would give this place 5 stars solely based on the pizza flavor, it was delicious. The crust was crisp, yet soft and chewy. Toppings were top notch flavor wise. However, the pizza wasn't cut which I found a bit annoying. And the center didn't hold up to the flop test so it really had to be eaten with a fork and knife (perhaps this really is the Italian way). Service was pretty mediocre. I waited over 10 minutes before anyone even came to take my drink order. They have their own beer on the menu which I ordered, but she just brought me a peroni. Never got any more water despite running out quickly. It was a busy night, so take that for what you will. Overall it was a nice meal and I would come here again. read more

Went on a busy Saturday without a reservation they were able to seat us at the pizza bar which we were totally fine with but if you want a table definitely make a reservation. Drinks were good, Lavanda was very very tarte and Aperol Spritz was perfect! The ambiance was beautiful and the music was pretty good too! I wasn't expecting much since I usually do not enjoy " chains " that get a lot of hype on social Media. But decided to try since we were in the area and craving Italian food. And I actually really enjoyed the food here. It was a little pricey compared to other Italian restaurants but overall still worth it. We were so lucky to be squeezed in for a same day reservation. We ordered the tagliatelle tartufo and the pappardelle bolongnese. I am not usually one to choose a meat sauce but I am so glad I did. This is the second best pappardelle I've ever had. Our pasta was so good we decided on dessert, tiramisu. It was excellent. I wish I lived in Canada because I will be craving this for a long time. We came here for dinner on our last night in Montreal because this restaurant was close to where we were staying and I didn't want to walk. We had to wait on a table for a few minutes but once seated the waitress promptly took our orders. I had the chittara (egg pasta with butter, parmigiana, black pepper & olive oil) and ate the entire bowl of pasta. Based on another review, I ordered it more cooked than al dente. I am glad that I did because it still came al dente!! The pasta was good but would have been better if it had more cheese. My son ordered the caprese pizza and my husband ordered a mushroom truffle pasta, which was delicious. The pizza was soggy and disappointing. It had too many tomatoes on it which made it very soggy. Food was alright. Place was packed (kind of unnervingly so) and reservations book up quickly. Still had a craving for pasta that week so my partner and I both got the pappardelle ragu and shared a quattro formaggi pizza. The pappardelle was alright--pasta was cooked al dente and all that and the ragu was good as well. Nothing super outstanding. Couldn't really place my finger on what else it needed. I guess the ragu lacked a little depth. The pizza was thin crust and quite floppy. I'm not a huge fan of thin crust but the floppiness was a bit strange. I folded it in half like a NY pizza but not sure if that was intended. Tasted mostly of gorgonzola. Even though it was a cheese pizza (how can you go wrong?!), it kind of felt like a chore to eat (chewing and chewing and not quite feeling satisfied) by the start of the second slice lol Overall, a very mediocre experience. Also, our waitress was a little tipsy (the place was packed like a party for a Monday night and she had a shot or two with a couple of tables she was serving lol) Which is fine tbh. Our service wasn't terrible but definitely quick and forgettable. Just glad I wasn't served by the waiter who went to the washroom and didn't wash his hands... I wouldn't recommend this place if you actually want fantastic Italian food (this is a small chain too, no?) We are a group of three. We had a Focaccia, two pizzas, a Contadina and an Ortolana and one Tiramisu. The Focaccia was good. It is quite a culinary art that they can make pizzas that thin. However, due to the thin base of pizza dough, the pizzas were not crispy. Even though the borders of the pizzas look burned, they are not crispy to our taste. Still, the pizza sauce and sausage were good. To sum up, we would prefer the pizza crust to be a bit more crispy. We found the Tiramisu to be a bit pricey. read more

They make great oven-baked pizzas but they are quite strict on replacing ingredients ( for an extra fee) which I am not a fan of... a little flexibility would be nice. I heard good things about this restaurant and was surprised that it didn't get better reviews on yelp. My boyfriend and I came here on Saturday night. It was a last minute decision and we were able to get a table right away when we arrived at 9:30 pm because it was not packed. We each started with two glasses of red wine and ordered what the waitress recommended. We got the polipo antipasti which is grilled octopus with red pepper coulis, potatoes, celery and basil leaves. It was good but the pizzas were what made this place great for me. My boyfriend and I shared the Tutta Vestita pizza (Fior di latte - red peppers - mushrooms - spicy sopressata) and the Formaggio di capra pizza (Fior di latte - sausage - onions - goat cheese - pecorino - oregano). Both were equally really good! The pizza crust is different from other pizzas I've tried. It has a lot of elasticity to it but not in a bad way. I love how spicy their chili flakes are! It is so much spicier than the stuff you buy at Costco! They also give spicy oil in glass dropper bottles with the Fiorellino logo on it. The flakes are spicier than the oil. My husband and I loved every dish we tried! We were visiting Montreal for a long weekend, went here the first night and loved it so much we came back our last night in town! Every item on the menu is amazing! Quick service and I appreciate the other workers who come to clear your table when done eating so your plates aren't stuck in front of you all night. Being a tourist, I didn't quite realize how reservations heavy Montreal would be. After walking around looking for a walk up, no reservations dinner, we found Fiorellino and decided to try it out. With a number of others converging on the same place, we were apprehensive this was going to be another failed attempt at food but we were pleasantly surprised that the host was able to find a place at the end of the chefs area, right in front of the pizza maestros and servers and food expeditors. First of all, it was so impressive to see the pizzas made in front of you, there's a lot of talent and timing to pizza making. My friend and I asked a few random questions here n there and they were happy to share information. We ordered wine, pork meatball, burrata, garganelli, and pizza tutti vestita. The pizza was delicious (of course) and I really liked the starters too! The pasta was ok. Service was great, it was a fun,m atmosphere of people and food. We got dessert it was nice to end on a sweet note. I'm pretty surprised this place isn't rated higher on here, this is the exact type of pizza I love (antico in Atlanta, pizzeria Bianca in Phoenix) so... maybe we'll be back even though the weekend is short and there's so much to try. read more

the service was absolutely terrible. the server was super insanely rude. she kept messing up the bills, we politely asked for it to be fixed, she heavily sighed in our faces even if it wasn't our fault. when she handed me the receipt machine she accidentally pressed no tip. I paid and went to her later to ask her to charge me again, so she would receive a tip. she proceeded to be super rude and blame it on me. she said she didn't do that and there was no option to not tip. the machine when given says "tip?" with a yes and no button as I saw when my friend paid. I genuinely had no place to add a tip when the machine was given. she continued to give me attitude and continued to be super rude And insinuated I purposely didnt want to tip. If that was the case I would've left with out telling her anything. my friends card was also not working so she had to re do the transaction a couple of times in which at some point she gave my friends bill to someone else to make them pay it even though she said she could pay it she would just try another card. after she said that the waiter said no your friend will pay. it took them a while to even begin taking our orders. The food was good but there are a million other Italian places that are just as goods and I'd rather go somewhere more respectful. read more
