    Americana pizza with added sausage

Quaint italian spot serving up pizzas and pasta. I came on a Sunday night near 9 o clock and it was still very busy, people were being turned away as they were supposedly booked up for the evening. I managed to get a solo bar seat in front of the pizza counter. It was nice being able to watch them make the pizza throughout the night. I would give this place 5 stars solely based on the pizza flavor, it was delicious. The crust was crisp, yet soft and chewy. Toppings were top notch flavor wise. However, the pizza wasn't cut which I found a bit annoying. And the center didn't hold up to the flop test so it really had to be eaten with a fork and knife (perhaps this really is the Italian way). Service was pretty mediocre. I waited over 10 minutes before anyone even came to take my drink order. They have their own beer on the menu which I ordered, but she just brought me a peroni. Never got any more water despite running out quickly. It was a busy night, so take that for what you will. Overall it was a nice meal and I would come here again.

The food came out really quickly. This was probably the best Caesar salad I've ever had. I love the way they used almost like breadcrumbs instead of whole croutons. Although not all of the staff were really friendly, the bar tender treated us well and was really impressive how he put on a show with the way he mixed drinks.

Went on a busy Saturday without a reservation they were able to seat us at the pizza bar which we were totally fine with but if you want a table definitely make a reservation. Drinks were good, Lavanda was very very tarte and Aperol Spritz was perfect! The ambiance was beautiful and the music was pretty good too! We got a Burrata pizza and Bolognese to spilt and both dishes were excellent! The pizza was cooked to perfection and the burrata was creamy and great. I highly recommend this restaurant!

I stayed in the area and found Fiorellino for the first dinner in Montreal during a quick weekend trip. Sat outside and it could not have been a better introduction to Montreal. I had the burrata with fresh heirloom tomatoes, basil, and golden beets with fresh pizza dough bread on the side - so yummy - and of course I didn't get a photo before I ate it all! I got the pepperoni, spinata, and honey drizzle - this pizza is better than any pizza I've ever had in the states - and I eat pizza frequently. The crust was perfect - soft and slightly chewy! Our waiter was fun, gave recommendations and talked about the area, which was very helpful! Would go back right now if I could!

Fantastic cocktails - Fiorellino has mastered the balance between snack bar and upscale italian restaurant.

Excellent pizza and outstanding service. The staff is great. We ate at the bar as we did not have a reservation which I recommend. This is a wonderful restaurant for casual dining. In addition to great wood fired Ben pizza they have many pasta dishes and a full service

This was a cute place I visited to catch up with a friend after work. The food and service was amazing ; super flavourful and the ambiance was great as well. I just found moving around hard since there wasn't much place especially with winter jackets and bags. Would definitely recommend!

I wasn't expecting much since I usually do not enjoy " chains " that get a lot of hype on social Media. But decided to try since we were in the area and craving Italian food. And I actually really enjoyed the food here. It was a little pricey compared to other Italian restaurants but overall still worth it. We shared beef polpette 5/5 Pasta Bolognese 5/5 Truffle pasta 5/5 Wine was also very good. Service was excellent. I was very pleasantly surprised so I guess it's no surprise I give this a 5 star rating. Will definitely come back :)

I was looking forward to eating here, so don't trust the hours, they aclose around 3 and open back up at 5 but close the kitchen at 9. When I finally was able to be there on time for a meal I was moderately satisfied. Food was very good and staff was very nice . All the dishes are well thought out and felt fresh and was very delicious . They have a grand wine list and cocktail menu as well. Seating is a little tight , I sat near the back window but everyone managed .

We were so lucky to be squeezed in for a same day reservation. We ordered the tagliatelle tartufo and the pappardelle bolongnese. I am not usually one to choose a meat sauce but I am so glad I did. This is the second best pappardelle I've ever had. Our pasta was so good we decided on dessert, tiramisu. It was excellent. I wish I lived in Canada because I will be craving this for a long time. My only complaint would be that the music was a little too loud.

Pasta cooked more than al dente but was still al dente!!

We came here for dinner on our last night in Montreal because this restaurant was close to where we were staying and I didn't want to walk. We had to wait on a table for a few minutes but once seated the waitress promptly took our orders. I had the chittara (egg pasta with butter, parmigiana, black pepper & olive oil) and ate the entire bowl of pasta. Based on another review, I ordered it more cooked than al dente. I am glad that I did because it still came al dente!! The pasta was good but would have been better if it had more cheese. My son ordered the caprese pizza and my husband ordered a mushroom truffle pasta, which was delicious. The pizza was soggy and disappointing. It had too many tomatoes on it which made it very soggy. You had to roll it up to eat it and there was not much cheese.

Food was alright. Place was packed (kind of unnervingly so) and reservations book up quickly. Still had a craving for pasta that week so my partner and I both got the pappardelle ragu and shared a quattro formaggi pizza. The pappardelle was alright--pasta was cooked al dente and all that and the ragu was good as well. Nothing super outstanding. Couldn't really place my finger on what else it needed. I guess the ragu lacked a little depth. The pizza was thin crust and quite floppy. I'm not a huge fan of thin crust but the floppiness was a bit strange. I folded it in half like a NY pizza but not sure if that was intended. Tasted mostly of gorgonzola. Even though it was a cheese pizza (how can you go wrong?!), it kind of felt like a chore to eat (chewing and chewing and not quite feeling satisfied) by the start of the second slice lol Overall, a very mediocre experience. Also, our waitress was a little tipsy (the place was packed like a party for a Monday night and she had a shot or two with a couple of tables she was serving lol) Which is fine tbh. Our service wasn't terrible but definitely quick and forgettable. Just glad I wasn't served by the waiter who went to the washroom and didn't wash his hands... I wouldn't recommend this place if you actually want fantastic Italian food (this is a small chain too, no?) Wine selection was huge though (didn't try any) so it looks like a better place for drinks and maybe smaller plates than a good dinner.

Food 5/5: The food was super delicious and the portions are good as well!! Nothing was too heavy or overly seasoned. I highly recommend trying one of their pizzas! Service 5/5: Despite being extremely busy, our server was very attentive and got us everything we needed! Atmosphere 5/5: The restaurant is well-decorated and appropriately lit. The pizza chef and wood fired oven is at the front of the restaurant, so you can see the pizza being made right in front of you! They also play super upbeat house/dance music which really adds to the atmosphere.

A very kind staff member standing outside told us no problem, they could bring out a portable ramp. The menu was enticing and multiple people in the crew were craving carbs and pasta, so we took them up on the offer. Staff was so accommodating in helping us into the restaurant. I started with an Old Fashioned which had a bit too much ice in it to notice the flavors beyond bourbon/whiskey. Not the end of the world. I struggled between a few things on the menu because everything sounded delicious, so another member of the group and I shared two different dishes. We got the Risotto con Anatra (duck confit, wild mushrooms, chopped black truffle, red wine, shaved Parm) and the pasta Funghi di Basco (wild mushrooms, white wine, demi-glace, parsley, shallots, spinach, white truffle oil). We were clearly in a mushroom mood and we both agreed the risotto was the obvious winner between the two. The pasta had a little bit too much liquid/oil/whatever it was in its base that kinda detracted from the whole dish and made it lose its flavor... seemed a bit bland. The risotto was delightful, but I did not observe much of the duck confit in it which was definitely a bummer. Still a delicious dish, though.

Restaurants in Montreal with the name of an Italian region - 2 of 2…read more I had seen Restaurant Siciliana before. It is on Rue Stanley, not too far away from the Peel Metro Station. Rue Stanley always makes for a chuckle. I have known very few people with that name. However, it's the eponymous name of a (not even) B movie about someone's dangerous pet snake. I looked at the menu board at around lunch time. It seemed like a generic Italian restaurant, with a broad-based Italian menu and not one that was particularly Sicilian. But this was at lunch time, and I was walking down the street with something to do. I returned for dinner another day. Everything at Restaurant Siciliana was sort of perfunctory and ordinary. The interior is old school and has the red and white check tablecloths. The wood fired pizza oven is visible from the restaurant. They seat you quickly and I wanted to sit closer to the back and next to a wall, to which they obliged. Since I could not find a wall outlet, they were willing to charge my phone for me. I did not want a pizza. For that, I might go to dei Compari, which I very much like. I was looking for pasta. Since I couldn't see what it might look like or what others had ordered, I settled on the trio - three types of pasta. I've seen this done before at other Italian eateries and, within reason, they allow substitutions. Here, the wiggle room is not that much (that means no filled pasta or lasagna/e) and there is an upcharge for the allowed changes. I wanted to swap out a pasta with Alfredo sauce and they did so for another pasta that is also on their menu at the same price, but with a $3 upcharge (for U.S., divide by ~1.36). Is that that much of an inconvenience? Everything was ok - one in a Bolognese sauce, one in a rose' sauce, and one in a pesto sauce - except that the pesto sauce was a little oily and didn't sit with me. To drink, I had a ginger ale. I'm beginning to like that stuff. The service was good. It was also expedient, albeit a little reserved. This was a 3-star event and, going forward, I will continue to look for other Italian (and Sicilian) restaurants in the area. I would love to know of an authentic Sicilian restaurant in the agglomeration that is Montreal. The very first Italian restaurant at which I ate in Montreal was just up the street, at Stanely and Maisonneuve. Either a Chapters or a newer building went in. That restaurant was more of a diner, which explains why it wouldn't be there - close to the financial district - anymore. Change can be hard to accept. I remember that that was also the first time I had heard the term rose' sauce. This is what Eastern Canada refers to a pink tomato-cream sauce. The middle-aged dark-haired woman who helped me had to have been from the western part of Montreal or its island, spoke perfect English with mannerisms suitable for an Italian neighborhood the Northeastern U.S., and looked like Kaye Ballard. I would have preferred a restaurant like that to this one for the price-quality rapport of the food and a Rue Stanley/Financial District location. If you are a tourist and your time is metered, I might skip this one. If you are a local, you can try Restaurant Siciliana for pizzas and/or pasta and see if it suits you.

Inside this little place there are maybe a dozen tables ... mostly for two. The place was casual, unpretentious, and relatively inexpensive. Service was friendly and spot on. Now the owner who drew us in - whatever his name - does it all here. He seated us, we saw him clean off some tables, and he goes back and forth in the kitchen personally making each dish. He had only two helpers ... one doing dishes and the other helping wait the tables especially when he was fixing a plate. The meals are essentially light pasta with light sauces ... nothing much heavy here. It is meant to be a quick lunch spot, and only stays open a while after hours. The menu - posted in the front window - is written on a sheet of paper and usually is about 8 different pastas and sauces; after you sit at a table you will find that the current list is generally smaller as they have run out of stuff during the day. Be that as it may, it was pretty good food. We had the Canelloni Rossini (4 stars with a light red sauce), Penne Arrabbiata (4 stars with another very light sauce), and a Calypso Salad (4 stars with very nice greens). The big takeaway was that he can make any kind of quick pasta and put any one of his light sauces on it for a quick meal. The sauces were nice - very light but nice. The pastas could have been a bit fresher. Interestingly, they only take cash - and that is not mentioned on the front window. He does have an ATM machine inside to help you cover the cash, but he should really announce this out front, especially for all the tourists that are in Montreal. Our bill came to $70 and he wrote down $80 ... maybe he included the tip for us - don't know, but pay attention to your bill on the way out. In fairness, the prices are reasonable here - $4.95 for a glass of the house Chianti, and every one of the pasta meals were simply $9.95. Canoli were $6.00 each.
