Among my favorite Italian restaurants in the Hudson Valley. Had lunch w sister and BIL to celebrate her birthday. Their first time. Plenty of parking. Interior all lit up w ceiling decor. Smallish place, and busy. Our server, Cathy, was personable and efficient. A lot of interesting specials, but we ended up ordering off the main menu. My BIL ordered chicken florentine soup (he loved it) and veal parm w red potatoes (loved that, too). My big sis and I each had chicken marsala, me w angel hair pasta, the birthday girl w penne. I also ordered a slice of pizza w sausage and peppers. You know the phrase, "love the one you're with"? Well, I sometimes say, "this is my favorite pizza" when I'm in New Haven at any one of the famous trinity pizzerias. Sometimes, i say that in New Paltz at Apizza. I'll say it here at Tiramisu, too. Their pizza is soooooo freakin good. Slightly charred undercarriage, loaded w sliced sausage, a slice is like a meal in itself. No utensils needed! And the basket of two different types of Italian bread / rolls. Nice and hot, crusty on the outside, chewy on the inside. Practically melts in your mouth. The three of us went through two baskets (please don't tell my doctor). Marsala sauce very robust. Food topnotch, service very good, prices reasonable. Bakery section does a very brisk business w a large assortment of cakes, butter cookies, and pastry. Next time. 5 yummy stars

Chicken Scarpariello Dinner

Tiramisu in Hopewell Junction, New York is honestly one of the best Italian restaurants and bakeries I've ever been to. If I could give it ten stars, I would. The place feels magical, especially with all the Christmas decorations, and you can feel the holiday spirit the moment you walk in. When we arrived on a busy Friday night without a reservation, the receptionist was so kind and welcoming. We told her we drove two hours just to come here and were happy to sit anywhere, and even without a reservation she gave us a great seat and made us feel comfortable and at home. Our waitress was amazing and took the time to explain the specials, and we trusted her suggestions, which turned out to be perfect. We ordered the "All I Want for Christmas Is You" and the chicken scarpariello, and both meals came with a salad, and I selected their homemade balsamic vinegar, which was incredible. The "All I Want for Christmas Is You" is the stuffed rigatoni, and it was cheesy, rich, and so comforting, especially with the creamy sauce, and it made me feel happy and full. The chicken scarpariello had a nice kick and was full of flavor, perfect if you enjoy a little spice. Of course, we couldn't leave without dessert, so we tried the tiramisu and the exotic bomba, and both were outstanding. The tiramisu was perfectly made, and you could taste every layer of espresso and flavor, while the bomba was light and refreshing, the perfect sweet bite to cleanse the palate. Beyond the food and the beautiful atmosphere, what really stood out were the people. Everyone there, even other guests, was friendly and welcoming. The owner was especially kind and came over to talk with us, asked where we were from, and even gave us a small care package from the bakery after hearing we drove two hours to visit. That gesture meant so much to us. I would gladly make the long trip again because the staff, the owner, and everyone there truly feel like family. Thank you so much for the wonderful hospitality, and I highly recommend this place to everyone.

Fantastic visit! Our meals were all delicious. We had pizza, eggplant rollatini, chicken parm and penne carino. Artie stopped by our table-he was very awesome to talk to and made us feel right at home. We were celebrating our engagement that took place today and he celebrated right with us. This is a great place! I highly recommend

Got turned away by a "fancier" Italian spot in the neighborhood so we stopped by since we were starving. Oh my god I loved this place, it's a little spot in a shopping area with really nice staff and yummy food. Everything was fresh, we especially enjoyed their garlic knots, they were so soft and the sauce The drinks were good too, left there full and happy

Just had dinner this evening at Aroma Osteria to celebrate our anniversary. In short, this was one…read moreof the best meals we have enjoyed in the Hudson Valley in years. Service was professional, pleasant, and present without being obtrusive. We ordered the arancini and a side of broccoli rabe for appetizers, and had two off-menu specials for the main, along with tartufo and ricotta cheesecake for dessert. The main courses were a risotto with autumn squash and monkfish with fava (?) beans and kale. The grilled monkfish was clearly fresh and absolutely delicious - happens to be favorite fish so my timing was perfect. Also the risotto was a generous portion and was prepared well, with a hint of sage flavoring. Was concerned that the non-pasta, non-meat dishes would not be up to par, but it turned out they were spectacular - don't sleep on the specials. From the host to the server and staff, everyone was exceedingly pleasant and went out of their way to wish us a happy anniversary. The cheesecake was not overly sweet like some cream cheese versions can tent to get - just light and tasty with some mild orange flavor in the accompanying sauce. From the host to the server and staff, everyone was exceedingly pleasant and went out of their way to wish us a happy anniversary. As for ambiance, we ate early do the restaurant was quiet and serene, with light loung-y music in the background which was never too loud. We had not come to the restaurant in years, but this will return to our top selections after tonight. Bravo!

How have I lived in the Hudson Valley as long as I have and not tried Aroma before? Went with three…read morefriends and we all truly enjoyed our dinners. One other friend and I both had the Rigatoni Alla Norma -- a light-ish pasta dish, which was very flavorful. Another friend got the Chicken Parm, which he said he enjoyed; I was surprised that it looked a little different from how I've made chicken farm myself (sort of sliced mozzarella on top as opposed to the real deal), but he really enjoyed it! The third person we were with got the mushroom risotto, which was one of the dinner specials the night we were there; we smelled it as soon as we came in the door, and it smelled great! Fortunately, we had enough room to share a dessert and opted for the Tartuffo, which was the highlight of the meal. Overall, the food was super fresh, and we plan to return -- my only suggestion would be to try to avoid any kind of holiday or graduation weekend, as it's super packed (and rightly so!), so it got a little difficult to hear each other. But otherwise, a really nice evening all around.
