Oat milk latte and cheese and sausage frittata
    Olivia F.

Delicious, chill, and kind baristas! Couldn't ask for more! My boyfriend and I stopped in here while traveling through and had a delicious oat milk latte and a frittata- and got a salted chocolate chip cookie before leaving (honestly the chocolate chip cookie sealed the deal for me!) Must stop !!

    Cortado

The cortado was the best I have ever had and the barista was super sweet. I did not anticipate finding a coffee gem in the middle of West Virginia but here we are.

I got an oat milk latte and a lemon bar at TipTop in Thomas, WV. The positives: the latte was delicious, and the lemon bar was very good. The inside of the coffee shop is very cute and tidy. They have a bunch of trendy drinks like Oli-pop and kombuchas. This shop was open on a Monday, which apparently is rare in Thomas. Everything else on the strip was closed. The negatives: the food and drinks are overpriced. This is common for most trendy coffee shops, so this is not surprising but still a little annoying.

Pumpkin Latte and feta and spinach pastry.

This spot was very good! The coffee was excellent, and the spinach and feta pastry was tasty. They also have a nice selection of art and gifts for purchase, which adds to the charm. It was busy when we visited, but the line moved quickly. There is seating available inside, although we grabbed our order to go.

This place is A+ and the new location (as of fall 2022), right down the street from the previous location, is absolutely stunning. Perfectly created coffee drinks, a wildly long list of local beer, oat milk drinks bottled in house, pastries, gluten free options, sandwiches from Fish Hawk Acres, chocolate, local meats, and so much more. The seating area inside is cozy, the art is lovely and vibrant, and the merch for sale would allll make an amazing gift. And be sure you check out the mushroom bathroom... Check out this gem. I would give it 10 stars if I could.

From the moment you walk in until the last sip from your cup of coffee, the one thing that will stick out the most is just how clean everything is. The shop itself is clean. The bathroom is clean. The employees, clean. The kitchen, yep, it's clean. The coffee, just smooth and clean. This is one of the nicest coffee shops I've stepped in. And of all places in the heart of little Thomas, WV. They have a great selection of cold refrigerated beers, the absolute best pastries I've found. Seriously. Better than grandma's. The coffee and lattes are amazing. I'm just upset this isn't closer to home. We visited three times during our long weekend camping trip to Canaan. Can't wait to return. 10 stars.

I briefly went to college in West Virginia, and Thomas was one of my favorite places to do a day trip to- Tip Top was always on that list too! Great coffee and a perfect atmosphere.

The person behind me basically bought the whole store.

I was quite pleased with my caffeine fix at TipTop in Thomas. Prices here make my wallet weep, but at least the matcha tea and my sleep deprivation distracted me enough to make me forget about my piling debt. I will be back once I scavenge enough loose change to afford their pepperoni rolls.

    Chia latte

Cute, cute, cute!!! Adorable decor, good coffee and the pastries looked delicious although I fought the urge to partake in one. I ordered the chai latte and it was quite light and yummy with a nice froth on it. I say at the bar area and chatted with the barista/bartender and she was quite nice. I also purchased some whole bean coffee that they ground for me and it was delicious the next morning as I wrapped up a friends weekend in the mountains. I am a fan of this place and their products. Please note ***there were a fair amount of CBD products including chocolate.

Vegetarian bagel and some delicious beer that the bartender recommended that tasted like fruit juice

The coffee was absolutely amazing! I loved it! My son bought some coffee beans to go and helped him brew some great espresso at home!

Overpriced, bitter, dunkin donuts level quality wrapped in a hipster package. The coffee was burnt. No prices on their food. Skip here.

Full disclosure, this place has broken my heart and as a patron that has spent well over $10k here in the last several years I'm at a loss for words. I met my partner at the Billy - yeah that still happens - and its gutting and egregious to see such feckless owners swoop into this lovely Appalachian business and run this with the care one would expect from a a Wayfair adorned short-term rental. Yes, the bones are still good here, but the superficial facade of community runs as deep as the chipping yellow paint on the "Billy Arrow" outside. The new Billy, in my deeply storied opinion on West Virginia history, sees right through the propped-up idea of "community" and it equates to the long history of outside interest here in the Mountain State that saw countless greedy men move in to extract and exploit the resources of the good people of Tucker County. The good people of West Virginia. I see it everyday and its no more true then than it is now with the Billy Motel and Ish Kitchen. You can almost smell the lack of community awareness and grasp with every high priced pour of el Toro cocktails. Its sickening to see my favorite establishment in this state now owned buy careless ownership that at one hand talk about community, but stab their "own" in the back. Its not community focused. Big time. One would think an owner in a town of 600ish with about 15-20 potential employees that would work service would respect the roots laid out by those here. Those that came before. But, I digress, because as the former states, its all about making as much money as one can and screwing over the locals when one does swoop in as an out of state interest. Its so, so sad. I will no longer be spending a dime here and have canceled all future bookings as I had planned about $2k worth of lodging this Spring through Fall for work and leisure that brings me here from Fayetteville all the time. I am not saying its a bad spot and the locals there are doing their best, but just know this place is coal-baron full on and if they care so much about the community they so share I would love to see them put their money where their mouth is. But, as a native West Virginian, and if you know anything about the state, we all know that will not happen. Montani Semper Liberi (for the DC/AZ folks, that means Mountaineers are Always free )
