Cool nice sized coffee shop- nice seating area in the back with couches/books. Coffees were just okay- I got a macadamia milk latte (asked for it extra hot and with sf vanilla but it came and tasted unflavored and was mildly warm almost cold. ) husband got breakfast tacos and nonfat latte and he seemed to like his well (only complaint was that the tacos ran a pretty penny being every topping was a charge, but other than that he said it was decent ) his latte was hot which was good! No real baked good selection to go with coffee other than 1 type of biscotti and I believe 2 cookies & brownie in the refrigerator case. My kids split the biscotti but didn't finish it- said "it doesn't taste like anything " I'd have to agree after a bite (not bad, just no flavor). I've been coming to Stone Tower and Joe N' Throw(now The Joe) since they both opened in Buckhannon and Fairmont. I've been to both of them more times than I can count and I've enjoyed many great conversations with employees and strangers at both locations over the years plus enjoyed some great live music as well. I've always been a fan of their tacos, wraps, and chips & queso, but I've had almost everything on their menu and I've never been disappointed by anything that I ate or drank. They have excellent lattes and cappuccino. Their vegan and vegetarian tacos are top notch. I came to this location right after they opened but I came hear recently a couple of times to enjoy several different IPA's, stouts, and porters plus tacos on Tuesday for their specials and nothing disappointed. The employees have always been kind to me but on a recent visit I had a great conversation with a girl but forget her name. Sorry! She was great! There's a real eclectic air to this place. I know they get people from the FBI, but this is definitely a place I'd pick to sit in a corner and write a deep (or trashy) novel while I have a speciality latte (or beer flight). Food is delicious. I've had their tacos and they really are soo good. I recently had some fire pork tacos that I regretted not getting a third one of. Plus I could eat their tortilla chips and queso every day. The people are also really nice. Give great recommendations and are super friendly. It's definitely a place i try to stop at when I'm home between jobs. read more

The idea behind this place - craft beer and coffee - is cool! Inside is cute. Otherwise, it's ten shades of NO. To start, we entered the door, and not one person behind the service counter greeted us, nor were they smiling - strke 1. Next, we paid $44 for 2 breakfasts and 2 coffees -strike 2. Did they really charge us for EACH taco item and $3 for bacon? (See pics) The coffee, well, they may have a bit off more than they can handle...at least 3 customers who arrived after us got their coffee orders first. Our coffee was ready after breakfast arrived at our table, and then it was luke-warm and unenjoyable -strike 3. This place has incredible coffee and that's about it. I am leaving this review because it's clear that the customer service needs to take a completely different approach. I only visit on holidays but when I do, I prefer to get my coffee from here. Every Single time I go there the customer service is so beyond rude and I leave upset. The ONLY time I have ever had a 10/10 experience is when a male named Justin was working. He needs to teach the rest of the staff including the manager how to greet customers. Give that man a raise because he is the only nice one who works there. I remember his name because he is the ONLY one who works there with manners. I was in just right before Christmas at 730am when there was nobody in the store. I was not greeted by what appeared the manager with wavy hair and a younger female employee. I stood at the register waiting to order for a total of 9 minutes before anyone even said that they would help me. I was about to ask them if I was a ghost because I could not believe I couldn't even get a simple "hello, welcome. We will be right with you"... NOPE. They were busy putting morning tickets for to go coffees and couldn't even look up to acknowledge me. They saw me and just did NOT CARE. It was so snobby. If another person didn't get in line behind me, they probably would've taken even longer to simply say hi. This is just downright rude and disrespectful. The only reason I go back is to hope that Justin is working because the Coffee is really good but the customer service is trash and needs a lesson on human decency and etiquette. I live in DC area now but if this happens again when I visit. I'll be personally calling to speak with the owner myself. Please fix your staff bc they are the problem! Nice little menu. The night I visited STB they featured shrimp and grits. It was exceptional. From someone who loves the Charleston, South Carolina staple. HUGE shrimp from the local market next door. I couldn't finish the meal. So disappointed in myself. But I got lunch the next day. Also had a salad and French onion soup. I recently moved to Bridgeport and met my cousins here for a quick lunch and what a disappointment. We ordered easily enough but the staff was not friendly or attentive. We received two of our drinks but had to ask two times for the ice tea. then they forgot to give us our desserts. I would not recommend this place and won't be going back. read more

The line to order your food was out the door. Once I got to the register, the guy started making drinks and didn't acknowledge that I was even there, and it took him 10 minutes to even take my order and acknowledge that I was standing there. The food came out, hot and as good but our drinks took forever . They made other peoples drinks that came in way after we did before ever getting to ours and when we finally did get our green teas with raspberries our food had been at the table for 5 minutes. read more
