Alrighty people, you enter, you look around and may notice a lack of instagram-like ambiance. BUT if you're there for Korean Fried Chicken and Beer Food? YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE. y'all the cheese corn (such a classic) was toasted right at the table, which gives a nice smokey flavor. Tteokbokki was also fire! Not crazy spicy if anyone was concerned! And let last but not least, they got that korean fried chicken batter just right! I liked the soy garlic most, but my friend liked the spicy/sweet more! Also, their pickled radish was so refreshing, and my style since it was more on the vinegary side. Tip: the radish is used like a palate cleanser, people! Wash that down with some beer and thats the classic korean Chi-Maek combo! (Chicken and Beer (Maek-ju)) read more

Been to quite a few Korean Fried chicken places in the valley but the vibes and the service stood out here. It was just two of us and we went late on a Friday. It was pretty full so we grabbed two seats at the bar. TU was our server and he was really attentive and proactive. He made our experience even that much better. Our food and drinks came out in a timely manner and everything was fresh. Texture of the kfc is a bit different here but not in a bad way. The sauce is less thick too. My favorite part was the rice cake and sausage skewers. I normally love tteokboki but the skewers had a both sweet/spicy flavor so I loved them. I would definitely recommend and go again any time I was in the mood for some Korean fried chicken. read more

I was thoroughly disappointed with my first and last visit. I walk in and was warmly greeted. I chose to sit at the bar as I was alone. I ordered pho and was told they were out of noodles and was waiting for the shipment to arrive that day. I wanted a cocktail or beer, but couldn't have either due to loosing their liquor license. I settled for water. In reviewing the menu, staff member suggested that the wings were good and I should try. I ordered the spicy and sweet wings, but did not like them. The chicken was weirdly tight on the bone. I just pretty much ate the breading. Cooks would occasionally come behind the bar to chat with other staff and one cook had this filthy apron on. It was only about 1:30-2:00 pm when I visited. I would have loved to leave a better review, however maybe this will help them tighten' up their operations. read more

Saw a reel, decided to drive up from Tucson to Mesa and we waited..... The place was dark and had basic tables and chairs. Eventually your eyes get used to the lack of lighting Waited for about 5-10 minutes to be acknowledged and have our drink orders taken. Water was in a sports bottle and the receptacle that we drank out of was metal. When we finally ordered we decided to order 14 pieces of soy chicken and original along with bulgogi fries. It took a while to get our order and it was not all at once. First came the corn which my sister in law ordered, then 5 mins later the bulgogi fries. The presentation on both was just that with the heat gun which didn't really crusted up or melt the cheese thoroughly. I would rather have them broil it and get a good crust on the food and evenly and thoroughly melt the cheese. But I suppose we are going for the presentation here. It took about another 15 minutes to get our wings and halfway through eating our wings, My sister-in-law's set (she ordered 14pc also) of chicken came. Not all the food was served at once. I thought the fries were pretty pricey $15+. Pros: loved the soy garlic wings, loved the creamed corn, the fries were hardy, friendly and helpful server, Con: took forever for the food to get to our table, only had two bathrooms and there was a long line for the ladies room, of course, albeit it was a clean stall. Pretty pricey read more

FUEGO!!!! The chicken had an amazing crunch and flavor, but was moist and tender. Definitely taking the wife here.

Crispy, juicy chicken! The Tipsy fries were crunchy and hot and delicious! A new favorite.

This is hands down my favorite restaurant. I always get the bulgogi fries with the soy and garlic fries chicken. I also love to dip my soy and garlic chicken into the tipsy sauce as well making it 10x better for me. However: the radish that comes with it is garbage, it tastes like how trash smells. read more

Came at noon on a Friday. Was the only customer at the moment so threw my to go order in real quick. Ordered the 14 piece; half Soy Garlic and half Sweet Fish Sauce. Was told 20 mins, but it felt quicker. Raced home because it smelled so good! Couldn't even take a picture before my savages (wife and kids) ripped the boxes open. Every piece of chicken was juicy and crispy as well as delicious! Definitely coming back soon! read more

Name and brand changed from its former predecessor Po Chicken but it's equally good! Chicken is as crispy as before and the menu I think largely remained the same. It offers more choices for liquor as it has a bar now, seems the general atmosphere has changed from a neighborhood family spot to a more lively place that offers drinks. read more

Prices are good food is good. Get the chicken chucks not the wings. They are a way better value and it's real chicken.

Tipsy Chicken - Got the pho, bulgogi fry's and some fried chicken with the sweet and spicy sauce - Chicken Wings Near Me - Mesa, Arizona

I really wanted to like this place but left iffy about returning. We had the wings and although the flavor was good, outside crispy, the inside were too soft for my liking. Needed to be fried about 10 more minutes or so. Took one apart and it was just not cooked enough. Service was good and people are friendly, the ambiance was relaxing and lighting was good. Maybe next time I will try something different, if I decide to return. read more

Food is excellent. The cheese corn is great. Pho is good. The chicken is what we came for and we're not disappointed.

Tried Tipsy Chicken for the first time today with my husband. We ordered the Soy Garlic Wings, the bulgogi fries, and the corn cheese with pork belly. Everything was delicious and very filling. We especially loved the corn cheese as the smoky pork belly balanced nicely with the sweetness of the corn and the gooey cheese held it together. The chicken was crunchy crispy on the outside but so juicy on the inside! This might be my new favorite for KFC. The Bulgogi fries were salty sweet and perfect for munching, maybe too perfect as we demolished it quite quickly. Service was prompt and attentive and our server was sweetly friendly. We're definitely coming back! read more

As korean this place has the juicy chicken but when it comes to sauce, its just it. Spicy korean sauce chicken was just watery taste. Service, they all just busy talking among themselves. Always had to call or raise my volume to get their attention from around the bar, which was like six feet away... read more

Tipsy Chicken is now a public library. Context: I used to work at Tipsy Chicken until recently (I got an internship elsewhere). I love Tipsy Chicken and the crew with all my heart, so it saddens me to write this. I came in to have some food and do some work and was talking with my ex-coworkers when they weren't busy. Around 5 pm, the morning/night shifts exchanged, so more staff are present. Me and others who were off the clock, were sitting around talking, and enjoying ourselves and having fun so we got a little loud, but nothing compared to what Tipsy houses on a weekend night, so our behavior was not out of the ordinary. The store manager, was bringing out food and basically told us from across the restaurant to keep it down because we were disturbing other customers. He then proceeded to yell at us again, but this time specifically calling me out, and saying to keep it down because I am disturbing the other customers. This is absolutely insane to me, because I did not know that in two weeks that I have left the team that Tipsy Chicken has been transformed to a silent public library that serves alcohol and plays loud music. In addition, I am also a customer, and I feel that for whatever reason, the manager didn't view me as such, because if he did, he would not yell at us, or me specifically, to keep it down. If you have been to Tipsy, you know the atmosphere that we have created, which is food, drinks, and fun. People come and drink and eat and are rowdy every weekend. We have even hosted fundraisers for ASU Dance Clubs, where they are dancing on the main floor. So it is incredibly ridiculous for me to get singled out and be told to quiet because I am 'disturbing' other customers. read more

Checked this place out with a couple of friends over the weekend. I loved the ambiance, first of all, nice dim setting. The staff were all attentive and friendly . Now let's get to the food, we ordered the cheese corn with pork belly, bulgogi fries, and the wings half sweet and spicy and half garlic. Everything was so delicious! My favorite was definitely the bulgogi fries. The tipsy sauce that goes with it is outstanding ! Get a side of the sauce and throw that shit on everything. Thank me later. Will definitely be back. read more

I've been here a few times, honestly it's a pretty good place I think it's not all to expensive compared to drunkin tiger Basically have the same dishes (almost) The chicken sauce for the soy garlic and yangnyum sauce was very very runny, the previous owners had it thicker and well it's preferred honestly IMO. The chicken was pretty crunchy I do give it that much for me it wasn't oily like the other comments I had the corn cheese with pork. Not a fan. The corn portion yes the pork no. I was having high hopes since I love corn cheese with pork but it' just made me disgusted if I'm honest it's just all fat and if your into fat that's great but I don't eat a lot of it so instead it made me want to puke. Texture for me is a big deal so it wasn't pleasant Also had there skewers those where good 100 percent would recommend. The service was pretty good went around 5 on a Saturday so wasn't to bad. They where very helpful and kind. Service was great to me Atmosphere was also good I like the dark environment makes it a good night time hang out spot so bonus Points for this Over all I would go back just not for the pork corn cheese read more

My husband and I went on a double date for lunch with some friends of ours to The Tipsy Chicken recently. We were really excited to try this place , and it did not disappoint! We ordered almost a little bit of everything but our favorites were the Original and Sweet and Spicy fried chicken , the Bulgogi Beef Fries , as well as the Rice Cakes and Sausage skewers. BUT! our TOP favorite was definitely the Corn Cheese! Everything was so good and the service was so kind and friendly . We all had a great time and we're already talking about coming back before we even left the restaurant. Absolutely delicious! read more

Excited to have a place that was going to specialize in KFC but I do have to say that unfortunately it wasn't as good as they look. Decided to get bulgogi fries as well and those were bomb. The fries themselves were very delicious but with the bulgogi ,cheese and the sauce that they gave us. The place was pretty clean and the place was dark so i get they're going for a specific vibe but i felt like it was just too dark during the day. Would come back but only for the fries though :) read more
